Chapter 217 Be careful when going out

Upon reaching the city gate, the two parted ways.

Because we're building a brick house, we have to be very careful about the materials we use.

Strive to achieve the desired result in one go.

The beams on the roof must be made of the finest wood.

I remember there was one near the pharmacy I visited last time.

Nanzhi headed straight for the area around the pharmacy she had visited last time, and sure enough, she saw a timber shop next to it.

"My dear girl! I've been looking for you for ages."

Nanzhi turned her head and saw a young man in a blue shirt crying and wailing.

Nanzhi pointed to herself: "You, looking for me?"

Dong Yang nodded repeatedly.

"If you don't come soon, young lady, I'll lose my job."

"Who are you?"

Nanzhi went through the list in her mind, but she really couldn't recall having such a relative.

"I'm from the South City Medical Clinic. Our manager really likes the young lady's medicinal herbs, which is why he sent me out to find some."

"Last time I was blind to your greatness. Please come with me, young lady. It's right next door."

Nanzhi followed with a smile.

It seems I made the right bet on the two sacks of medicinal herbs.

The South City Medical Clinic remains overcrowded.

Dong Yang came in from the doorway, and Fu Liu saw him return and picked up a duster to greet him.

"I asked you to go find someone, and it's only this early, and you're already trying to slack off."

Dong Yang sidestepped the oncoming duster.

"Shopkeeper, let's sit down and talk. I've found the person you asked me to find for you."

"Found it? Where is it?"

Dong Yang peeked out from behind the counter and pointed behind him.

Fu Liu turned around, pushed the little girl in front of him aside, and took a few steps forward.

Where?

Dong Yang sighed, "Shopkeeper, why are you shoving people like that?"

Fu Liu turned around again, "Her?"

Dong Yang nodded helplessly.

The person is standing right in front of you, and you still can't see them? Does the shopkeeper have something wrong with his eyesight?

Fu Liu looked the little girl up and down, but he couldn't believe it.

"Are all those medicinal herbs yours?"

Nanzhi nodded.

"How many people are in your family? What profession do you work in? Are you allowed to practice medicine?"

Dong Yang: "Shopkeeper, are you planning to dig deeper into this?"

What if the shopkeeper scares away the people we finally managed to invite?

"This is none of your business, go ahead."

Nanzhi took out a century-old ginseng from her bosom, which she had just pulled out of her spatial storage.

"Shopkeeper, will you accept this?"

Fu Liu rubbed his eyes.

Fresh ginseng!

Before the shopkeeper could react, Fu Tang'an, who was behind him, came over after smelling the aroma.

He snatched the herbs from the counter, carefully placed them on the counter, and gently brushed off the dirt with a brush.

"You silly girl, how can you just pick up a hundred-year-old ginseng like that? If you break it, wouldn't that be a terrible waste?"

If you don't use your hands, are you going to pick it up with your mouth?

Nanzhi actually has many other medicinal herbs, but it's not convenient to take them out right now.

Fu Liu coughed and spoke to Nan Zhi in a much gentler tone.

“This is Fu Tang’an, the pharmacist at our pharmacy. Girl, look, we can cooperate. We’ll buy all the medicinal herbs you have, how about it?”

Seeing this overly attentive manner, Dong Yang kept rubbing his eyes, wondering if their manager had been possessed by some evil spirit.

Nan Zhi had this intention all along. When she found them, she didn't look for any other families. She was truly drawn to the golden light of merit on the plaque of this pharmacy.

Such golden light deserves to be paired with her fine medicinal herbs.

"Shopkeeper, you can lend me this, but I didn't bring any herbs with me today. I'll bring it over this afternoon, okay?"

"No problem, Dong Yang, bring the silver."

"We won't use the previous medicinal herbs for nothing. Ninety taels of silver, plus this ginseng, that'll give you four hundred taels of silver, how about that?"

Nanzhi hadn't expected the other party to give so much.

It's more than what I received in the county before.

To make it easier for her to carry, Fu Liu gave her a few silver notes and exchanged the rest for some loose silver coins for her convenience.

Nanzhi hadn't expected the other party to be so thoughtful.

They immediately held this Manager Fu in even higher regard.

After leaving the house, Nanzhi went to a nearby pastry shop and bought some pastries, then asked about the prices of roof tiles at several shops.

We found a teahouse and sat down.

Not long after, Song Hanyan arrived.

As the weather got warmer, Song Hanyan's clothes were soaked with sweat after walking all the way.

His beautiful figure and handsome face attracted many women to turn their heads.

A young maidservant followed him until she saw him enter the teahouse.

"Are you hot? Come and have some herbal tea."

Nanzhi booked a room, and as soon as she entered, Song Hanyan took off her clothes.

Nanzhi glanced at it out of the corner of her eye, reluctant to turn back.

Song Hanyan gulped down a pot of cold tea before feeling better.

"If my wife wants to see, then let her see openly and honestly. I will only let you see."

"Cough cough cough."

Tea was splashed everywhere.

Nanzhi blushed instantly, whether from embarrassment or coughing, it was hard to tell.

She glared at Song Hanyan, then took out clean clothes from her spatial storage.

"Here, put it on."

Nanzhi ordered two more pots of tea and some pastries.

"How's the roof tile situation?"

Song Hanyan sat down and picked up his teacup.

"There's a company in the south of the city that makes good quality tiles. I've already arranged with them, and they'll deliver the tiles, bricks, and roof beams to the village tomorrow."

In just half a day, he managed to resolve all of these issues.

Nan Zhi rested her chin on her hand, "Song Hanyan."

The other party responded.

"I've noticed, you're so manly."

Song Hanyan asked in confusion, "What is 'man'?"

"He's very masculine and very charming."
