Chapter 22 New Uses of the Medical Records

It wasn't until they went to bed that night that Song Hanyan told Nanzhi about the thief.

Who would have thought that thieves could appear in broad daylight, and that family not only lost their silver but also their grain.

In a fit of anger, he reported it to the authorities. After two days of being detained at the government office without being caught, he promised to give ten taels of silver to whoever could catch him.

"Congratulations, host, on your new mission: catch the thief. The reward is random."

Nan Zhi was already fast asleep and naturally didn't hear the task issued by the system.

After getting up and eating breakfast, Nan Zhi went up the mountain. Recently, Song Hanyan has been getting up earlier for some reason.

He used to come back to rest at noon, but now he never comes back at all.

Upon reaching the mountain, Nanzhi released the treasure beast.

These celestial beasts have been staying in the space, eating the spiritual plants there and growing quite a bit.

As soon as they came out, they frolicked on the grass, and after playing enough, they rubbed against the feet of the southern branch.

Nanzhi stroked its soft fur, finding it more and more adorable.

"From now on, you'll be called Xiaobao, okay?"

Upon hearing this, the beast jumped onto Nanzhi's lap and rubbed against her face.

After teasing the beast for a while, Nanzhi began searching for herbs.

"Cherry, can you check if there are any medicinal herbs in this mountain area?"

Cherry: "With a new assistant in the master's household, Cherry is temporarily suspending her herb-finding service."

It continued, "Cherry is about to be upgraded, and the space will be locked for one day."

So the medical record can't be used either.

Nanzhi's hand suddenly felt heavy. Looking down, she saw a book with large gold lettering in her hand.

The words "Medical Records" were written on it.

The system was upgraded, and the medical records were all thrown out.

Nanzhi opened the book, which was as thick as a palm, and saw that it contained records of various herbs, including their appearance, names, properties, and uses. In the end, it even contained prescriptions for treating all kinds of difficult and complicated diseases.

After reading it, Nan Zhi gripped the medical manual tightly, sighing inwardly, "It's all money!"

The prescriptions produced by the system should be very valuable. It's just a pity that because the herbs in Nanzhi have not been fully collected, not all the prescriptions in the medical record are displayed. Only prescriptions for treating common colds and fevers can be seen.

Nan Zhi was still engrossed in reading and wished she could find more medicinal herbs to complete the medical record.

She has no interest in becoming a medical sage, but she can pass down these prescriptions, promote traditional Chinese medicine, and earn some money along the way.

Just as I was thinking this, my skirt was tugged at.

"Little Bao'er, what's wrong?" Nanzhi asked.

The beast seemed to be trying to drag him somewhere. "Are you asking me to follow you?"

The treasure beast happily hopped around in a circle, and then followed the treasure beast to a certain place.

Although spring had arrived and the flowers and grass along the road were slowly peeking out, the places the treasure beast was taking her to were becoming more and more remote.

Moreover, there was still unmelted snow on the road, and Nanzhi followed behind, keeping an eye on the surroundings.

The beast stopped in front of a snowy field, turned around and tugged at Nanzhi's trouser leg.

Nanzhi, not understanding why, climbed up a small hillside.

"Snow Lotus!" she exclaimed.

Amidst the pure white snow, a single white flower blooms, its petals as white as jade, crystal clear and transparent, no wonder it is called "snow among humans, a fairy among flowers".

Nanzhi was so engrossed in watching that the treasure beast rolled around at her feet.

The Medical Record suddenly lit up again, took off, and flew onto the snow lotus. Then, the snow lotus rose into the air and merged into the Medical Record.

The medical record lit up and slowly flew back into Nanzhi's hand.

She found the Tianshan Snow Lotus, which was ranked number one in the book, so easily.

Moreover, as the medical record was being compiled, a prescription appeared in Nanzhi's hands.

It's more of a recipe than a prescription, but even so, its value is immeasurable.

Nanzhi folded the prescription and carefully put it in her bosom. This trip had been very fruitful, so she should reward the little guy properly.

But now that the space is blocked, Nanzhi can't get in either, so she can only wait for the space to open again and then properly reward the little guy.

Nanzhi stroked the beast's soft fur, and suddenly the little guy jumped up and stood in front of Nanzhi with his back to her.

Its fur stood on end, it bared its teeth, and its face looked fierce, as if it was on guard against something.

The treasure beast is a spirit beast; if it can make him so afraid, it must be something bad.

Nanzhi picked up the treasure beast and looked around warily.

Before long, many wolves emerged from the surrounding jungle, each with a fierce look on their face.

Nan Zhi's heart sank; she had encountered a pack of wolves.

Who would have thought that picking snow lotus would lead to encountering a pack of wolves, and that Nan Zhi, like meat on a chopping board, would attract these wolves with her fragrant aroma.

The system shut down. Did she have anything handy around her? With so many wolves around, she was like a lamb entering a tiger's den, with no way to escape.

In a crisis, people will naturally look for things around them to protect themselves. Nanzhi groped around with her hands and actually found something.

Medical Records.

Although books won't kill you, we can't worry about that now; even a starved camel is bigger than a horse.

The wolves in the pack were poised to strike. Taking advantage of Nanzhi's inattention, one wolf leaped into the air, baring its fangs as it lunged at Nanzhi.

Nan Zhi steeled her resolve, closed her eyes, picked up the medical record book, and slapped it against the wolf's head.

With a 'bang', the heavy object fell to the ground.

The wolf that pounced was actually knocked five meters away.

Nanzhi looked at the wolf lying on the ground in surprise, then at the book in her hand, as if she had discovered a new continent.

The wolves were intimidated and hovered around her more cautiously.

Rather than waiting for them to gang up on us, we should defeat them one by one.

Nanzhi grabbed the book and ran towards the wolf opposite.

With another "smack," the disheveled Nanzhi was shoved into the ground, leaving only her head sticking out.
