Chapter 40: Nothing Seen

Shouldn't she be taking a bath?

Where did she get her clothes from, and how did she end up on the bed?

Thinking of a certain possibility, she couldn't help but blush.

He dawdled as he got out of bed.

Song Hanyan had finished preparing the wolf meat and was planning to go to the city to sell it.

Upon seeing the person standing at the door, she blushed, seemingly lost in thought.

Nanzhi lowered her head. "Yesterday."

“You were asleep yesterday, so I changed your clothes for you,” Song Hanyan said, taking the clothes from her. “Don’t worry, I kept my eyes closed.”

After saying that, Song Hanyan picked up the meat on the ground and went out the door.

If he wasn't carrying anything, Nanzhi would see Song Hanyan walking with his arms and legs moving in unison.

Nanzhi blushed slightly and chuckled softly, "Silly boy."

The food on the table was steaming hot; it was cooked porridge, and a mouthful of it was so comforting.

Nanzhi sometimes really thinks that it would be nice to just stay in this world like this.

After finishing her meal, Nanzhi filled the rabbit's water trough with spiritual spring water.

Feeding rabbits is a bit of a hassle, but it's expensive.

Nanzhi plans to feed more rabbits.

We can hire some people to help us open a factory that specializes in selling rabbit meat.

Thinking this, Nanzhi suddenly perked up.

"Big sister," Little Li San peeked out from the doorway.

"Come in."

Little Li San'er peeked into the room. "Where's my brother-in-law?"

So that's what he was afraid of.

"He went to sell meat."

Xiao Li San then came out and placed the rabbit grass in front of Nan Zhi.

Nanzhi skillfully tore the rabbit grass apart and then threw it into the rabbit cage.

This was something I had agreed upon with Xiao Li San'er beforehand; he was supposed to help me dig rabbit grass.

To prevent Xiao Li from noticing anything, Nan Zhi had to feed the rabbits and clean the cage herself.

He put down another half-bag on the ground. "Big sister, this is what my grandma asked me to give you."

Nanzhi opened it and saw that it contained half a bag of potatoes.

Their family was struggling financially; how could Nanzhi possibly accept them?

“Take these back with you. Your brother-in-law dug up a lot yesterday.”

Little Li San'er immediately waved his hand, "No, my grandma told me I absolutely have to give it to you."

Seeing his stubborn look, Nanzhi had no choice but to say, "In that case, I don't need the half bag of potatoes, but you can help me cut rabbit grass on the mountain every day."

Little Li San'er: "Big sister, no need. There's plenty of rabbit grass on the mountain. Even if you didn't ask, I would still get it for you."

Nanzhi shook her head: "I'll hand over the rabbit grass cutting to you after that. I'll give you eight hundred coins a month. What do you think?"

"This won't do!"

He was only trying to thank his older sister, but in the end he ended up taking her money.

"That's settled then. If you refuse again, I'll pretend I don't know you."

Little Li San'er dared not, and immediately agreed.
