Before the water boiled, Yao Yao poured all the ingredients around her into it, seemingly venting her dissatisfaction.
Seeing her so reckless and exaggerated, Jiang Yimei asked in astonishment, "Yaoyao, what are you doing?"
Yao Yao explained happily, "I'll cook it all at once so I can fill my stomach."
Jiang Yimei was taken aback: "Don't be in such a hurry to fill your stomach, right? Hot pot should be eaten slowly, that way you can taste it better and have a better experience."
Yao Yao's face immediately turned cold, and she retorted, "Can't I just have a good, satisfying meal like this?"
His attitude was terrible; normally, Jiang Ze would have flipped the table long ago.
However, out of consideration for Jiang Yimei, he held back.
Jiang Yimei was shocked that Yaoyao would speak to her in such a tone; it hurt her deeply.
However, she knew that Yao Yao probably didn't mean any harm, otherwise she wouldn't have helped her time and time again.
She didn't know why Yao Yao had become like this. Maybe it was because she didn't like Jiang Ze and wanted to ruin her date with him.
Yao Yao's mentality is very bad, making it difficult for her to back down.
After much deliberation, she decided that her best friend would always be her best friend, and she shouldn't ruin their sisterly bond of several years over a single meal: "Fine, do whatever you want."
Yao Yao knew Jiang Yimei would compromise, so things were much easier for her now.
They cooked, ate, and added ingredients as they went, making the area around the hot pot almost filthy. Especially when adding ingredients, they used a bit too much force, causing water to splash out of the hot pot and leaving the table covered in red oil.
Jiang Ze picked up his chopsticks, wanting to pick up some food, but seeing how dirty it was, he couldn't bring himself to do it and lost all appetite.
What was supposed to be a sumptuous dinner had been ruined, leaving him furious and filled with anger.
Jiang Yimei was also speechless at Yao Yao.
It seems this girl didn't come out to eat, but deliberately came to make things difficult. She regretted bringing Yaoyao out to eat.
Neither of them touched their chopsticks. They exchanged a glance, their eyes conveying the same meaning.
After sending Yao Yao back, they can come out to eat later; or they can wait until Yao Yao is full and then eat somewhere else.
With his girlfriend's support and comfort, Jiang Ze felt much better and took things much more in stride.
Seeing that neither of them showed any sign of touching their chopsticks, Yao Yao, who was wolfing down her food with her mouth full of red oil, asked, "Why aren't you eating?"
Jiang Yimei and Jiang Ze answered in unison, "We're full!"
Yao Yao asked in confusion, "Are you full? But you haven't touched your chopsticks!"
Jiang Yimei and Jiang Ze's rice bowls were empty and clean, as if they had just been taken out. How could they be full?
Jiang Yimei and Jiang Ze replied in unison, "Seeing you eating so heartily and happily, we're full."
You said these two don't look like a married couple, but there seems to be a bit of that. Just like now, they seem like a match made in heaven.
Yao Yao had no idea what these two were up to, but she felt they had ill intentions.
"You really aren't going to eat?"
Jiang Yimei said meaningfully, "You eat, and we'll go back after you're full."
Yao Yao suddenly understood: "Oh, I get it! You want to ditch me and go find some other food? I'm telling you, no way!"
Seeing that Yao Yao was determined not to give up, Jiang Yimei immediately retorted with harsh words: "After you've eaten and drunk your fill, get back home. Why make such a fuss?"
"Yi Yi, you..."
Yao Yao was heartbroken. She felt a surge of anger inside her that she wanted to vent, but she couldn't.
