She endured it with great difficulty and almost couldn't hold on any longer.
Fortunately, she had a man by her side who was willing to take care of her.
Holding the sanitary napkins that Yao Yao had chosen, Gao Jiakai hurriedly went to the counter to pay.
The cashier glanced at him, her face full of surprise, as if he were a pervert.
Gao Jiakai had anticipated this situation and was mentally prepared to be misunderstood.
He is a customer, and regardless of whether he is a pervert or not, the cashier has no right to refuse to sell him the goods.
Sure enough, the cashier only thought it to herself and dared not say it out loud, otherwise she would definitely lose her job if Gao Jiakai complained.
After buying the sanitary napkins, Gao Jiakai handed them to Yaoyao, letting her handle it herself.
Every store, even the signs, was in a foreign language, making it difficult for Yao Yao to find the restroom. She had no choice but to seek help from Gao Jiakai.
Upon learning that Yao Yao needed to find a restroom, Gao Jiakai knew it was easy and immediately went to do it.
The supermarket was inside a shopping mall, and each floor of the mall had restrooms, so Gao Jiakai quickly found the women's restroom.
Yao Yao reluctantly went inside to deal with her own affairs.
They came out a few minutes later.
Gao Jiakai was outside, and she found him shortly after she came out.
Upon seeing Yao Yao, Gao Jiakai stepped forward to ask, "How are you feeling? Are you feeling any better?"
Yao Yao felt a warmth in her heart and replied, "It feels better, but it still hurts a lot."
Gao Jiakai frowned slightly: "Should we go to the hospital to get it checked out?"
The hospital visit didn't help much, but Yao Yao came up with a brilliant idea, though she didn't know if Gao Jiakai would be willing to do it: "How about... you boil some water for me?"
Kao Chia-kai described his current situation: "But we don't have electric water heaters right now."
He understood boiling water to mean boiled water, because in China, boiled water is almost a panacea; drinking it when you're sick or have menstrual cramps will greatly relieve them.
Yao Yao wasn't concerned about the present, but rather whether Gao Jiakai would agree: "When we get back to the hotel, can you cook for me?"
Kao Chia-kai didn't understand: "You can cook it yourself, why do you need me to cook it?"
Yao Yao explained, "I want you to cook for me."
Gao Jiakai reacted as if facing a formidable enemy, immediately resisting: "Don't push your luck!"
"They're not feeling well and have difficulty moving around, and you won't even help them out."
Yao Yao pouted, her heart and mouth full of reproach.
Kao Chia-kai remained unmoved: "I've already helped you with almost everything you couldn't do, so don't try to play the victim card."
Knowing that Gao Jiakai didn't want any romantic development with her, Yao Yao didn't force her: "Then can you help me buy something?"
"No problem," Gao Jiakai readily agreed. "What do you want to buy?"
Yao Yao: "Brown sugar, ginger, and red dates."
These items can basically only be found in Chinese supermarkets.
Gao Jiakai didn't quite understand why Yao Yao wanted to buy these things.
Why did you buy these things?
"Drink it!"
Gao Jiakai frowned: "Why would you eat something like this out of the blue?"
Yao Yao: "Don't you know that drinking brown sugar ginger water helps a woman a lot when she's menstruating?"
"I really don't know."
Gao Jiakai was a little embarrassed.
He finally understood why Yao Yao insisted on him boiling water; it turned out she wanted to enjoy his care.
Luckily, I didn't fall for it, otherwise this little brat would have made a big deal out of it.
Yao Yao urged, "Then remember this well: women should drink brown sugar ginger water during their period. You must take good care of your girlfriend or your wife in the future."
