Chapter 56 Secretary Jiang

This could be a huge deal, so they must concentrate and watch carefully, not missing a single frame.

Lin Congzhi's steady pace only stopped when he reached the end of the corridor.

Jiang Yimei, feeling ashamed, desperately wanted to crawl behind Lin Congzhi, but there was a wall behind him, and she couldn't get in.

And so, she lowered her head and faced Lin Congzhi, looking exactly like a shy bride who wanted her red veil to be lifted by her groom.

Lin Congzhi knew how Jiang Yimei was feeling. To be honest, if there weren't so many people around, he probably would have already taken the poor girl into his arms and comforted her.

He shifted his tender gaze and looked at everyone; the moment his cold arrogance returned to his eyes.

"Put down what you're doing."

A voice echoed from the empty valley. Although it was deep, its tone carried an irresistible divine power that compelled people to submit.

None of the marketing staff dared to slack off.

They neatly put down their work, focused their attention on this side, and stared at the ruthless, merciless executioner in front of them, wanting to see what new instructions or tricks he had up his sleeve.

The fear in those eyes made Lin Congzhi feel comfortable.

He didn't rush to announce it, but instead looked at the employee who was closest to him and said in a stern tone, "Call Supervisor Yan out."

His icy, piercing gaze was terrifying. The employee being stared at didn't even dare to lift his head. He immediately trembled as he left his seat, quickly walked over, and called for Supervisor Yan to come out.

"Snap!"

The old witch quickly came out of the office.

Seeing Manager Lin standing there so dashing and imposing, she adjusted her glasses, feigning a gentle and charming demeanor, and walked over in a very ladylike manner. Then, in a voice as sweet as could be, she asked, "Manager Lin, what can I do for you?"

Lin Congzhi's gaze, which spanned a 180-degree radius, did not fall on her at all.

He was aloof and always faced everyone, looking down on everyone.

This feeling of being ignored plunged the old witch's affected coquettishness into an abyss of embarrassment.

At this moment, standing next to Manager Lin, she didn't know whether to speak or remain silent.

Everything is going according to plan.

After gathering all the marketing department employees, Lin Congzhi solemnly announced, "Today, I have an announcement to make to everyone: from now on, this Ms. Jiang will be my secretary, and you should all respect her as you would me."

As he spoke, he turned his head to the old witch beside him, his gaze chilling, and said, each word sharp and meaningful: "Including you!"

"Why!"

Jiang Yimei and the old witch spoke almost in unison, but they were surprised at different points.

Jiang Yimei was surprised that Lin Congzhi had summoned her back to be his secretary. How could this be?

What surprised the old witch was that Manager Lin was too domineering and too unreasonable.

No matter how capable or influential a manager's secretary is, she can't be ranked higher than a supervisor in the company.

In other words, she found it difficult to be obsequious and respectful to a secretary.

The voice rang out, revealing her face. Everyone recognized the woman who had been keeping her head down and following behind Manager Lin—it was none other than Jiang, the colleague who had resigned half a month ago.

In an instant, they began to discuss among themselves; exclamations of surprise filled the air.
