Lin Congzhi definitely denied the guess, but the sound of Yao Yao screaming was too suspicious. With a skeptical attitude, he followed the nervous and angry Cheng's mother up to the second floor.
The noise was coming from Yao Yao's room.
Upon arriving at Yao Yao's room, Cheng's mother turned the handle and opened the door.

Cheng's mother was furious. She grabbed a book from the side, twisted it into the shape of a stick, and stormed over, intending to beat Gao Jiakai, that lecherous wolf, to death.
Lin Congzhi stared blankly at the scene, never expecting that Gao Jiakai would be so thirsty.
He misjudged this person; he shouldn't have saved him in the first place.
Gao Jiakai was brought by him, so if Gao Jiakai did anything inappropriate to Yao Yao, then he also had a responsibility to teach the guy a lesson.
He pulled up a stool from the side, preparing to do something even bigger.
When Cheng's mother came to the bedside, she grabbed the quilt and tried to pull it off.

Without hesitation, Cheng's mother swung the book and struck Gao Jiakai's head hard.
Gao Jiakai instinctively reached out from under the covers and used his arm to block Cheng's mother's attack.
"Bang!"
Cheng's mother hit him very hard; after all, she was a woman who did manual labor, and the book was somewhat hard, causing Gao Jiakai's arm to ache terribly from the blows.

He couldn't help but cry out; it was unbearable.
Hearing the cries of pain, Yao Yao realized the seriousness of the situation and quickly poked her head out from under the covers to check on the situation.

Yao Yao had all the blankets pulled off below her head so her mother could see her.
Upon discovering that both her daughter's and Gao Jiakai's clothes were intact, Cheng's mother was somewhat surprised and incredulous; however, she quickly calmed down and then offered another interpretation: "He was guilty of attempted rape, so he deserves to be beaten too."
Yao Yao tried to explain, "Mom, he really didn't do anything to me. On the contrary, he was saving me."
"Save you? Would saving you require going to bed?"
Cheng's mother found this statement ridiculous and utterly absurd.
Yao Yao: "We have our reasons."
Cheng's mother was shocked: "You're not going to tell me that you're trying to force me into submission using such a despicable trick as 'making the rice undone,' are you?"
Her daughter is usually quite chaste, how come she's become so promiscuous and carefree? And if it was consensual, why did she scream just now?
She sensed something was wrong.
