Chapter 171 The Past of Xiao Wang and Awan

After Xiao Wang left, Awan quietly tidied up the room, then sat quietly on the sofa, staring blankly ahead.

She gently stroked the baby in her belly, feeling its faint heartbeat, and a complex emotion welled up in her heart.

She whispered to herself, "Baby, you must grow up well, because you may be my only child in this life."

Ah Wan was lost in memories of the past.

She recalled her school days, when she was young, playful, and lived a very open-minded life.

However, fate dealt her a heavy blow—the doctor told her that due to her past behavior, her chances of getting pregnant were extremely slim.

At that moment, she felt utterly terrified.

She knew how difficult their life would become if her future husband found out she couldn't get pregnant.

Therefore, she made up her mind to find someone who could accept her and set her sights on Zheng Ming.

At that time, Zheng Ming was already somewhat famous. His classmates all said that he was successful in his career and seemed honest and unassuming, so they thought he wouldn't find out about her past.

However, things did not go as she wished.

When she confessed her feelings to Zheng Ming, he rejected her without hesitation.

This sudden blow left Awan at a loss, but she did not give up.

She decided to take a more radical approach, so at a party, she pretended to be drunk and had sex with Zheng Ming, making him mistakenly believe that she was still a pure girl.

The plan ultimately succeeded; Zheng Ming fell for it, and the two began dating.

During their relationship, Awan tried her best to play the role of a gentle, kind, and understanding person.

She knew Zheng Ming liked this kind of woman, so she constantly adjusted her image to cater to his preferences.

Gradually, Zheng Ming was deceived by her disguise and believed that she was the perfect partner.

Actually, she had a lot of fun when Zheng Ming wasn't around, which made her feel very relaxed and happy.

Zheng Ming is a perfect husband, not only being tolerant and generous towards her, but also giving her full trust and support.

Furthermore, she had complete financial freedom after marriage and could dispose of her wealth as she pleased.

Therefore, she kept several younger, stronger, and younger men to keep her company.

Nevertheless, she never considered divorcing Zheng Ming.

However, fate led her to meet Brother Wang—a gentle, considerate, and understanding man.

More importantly, Brother Wang was always by her side, bringing her endless warmth and comfort.

Now that she is pregnant with Wang Ge's child, it undoubtedly proves that they are a match made in heaven.

At that moment, she felt an unprecedented sense of satisfaction.

"Baby, soon we will be able to live with your dad."

Ah Wan stroked her slightly protruding belly with a happy expression, her eyes revealing her anticipation for a bright future.

...

After leaving Zheng's house, Xiao Wang rushed to the next house—Juanzi's house.

He walked to the door with practiced ease, raised his hand and knocked, and the door opened quickly.

"Juanzi, I'm here!" Xiao Wang said excitedly as he pushed open the door.

"Honey, you're here. It just so happens that our son is off today, and he was just talking about you. Xiao Bao, your dad's here. Didn't you say you missed him?" Juanzi said gently to Xiao Bao.

In fact, Juanzi calls Xiao Wang her husband, but the two do not have a marriage certificate. They were under the legal age when they got together, and later they ran away from home and have not registered their marriage for many years.

"Dad, you haven't come to see me in so long. I miss you so much."

Upon hearing his mother's words, Xiao Bao immediately ran out of the room, hugged Xiao Wang's leg, and looked up at Xiao Wang.

"Dad's been busy lately. He came to see Xiaobao as soon as he finished." Xiao Wang bent down, picked up Xiaobao, and gently patted his head.

"Dad, could you come see me more often next time? I miss you every day."

Xiao Bao looked at Xiao Wang with a wronged expression, his eyes full of longing and expectation.

"Okay, Dad promises you, I'll spend more time with you from now on." Xiao Wang smiled at Xiao Bao, his eyes full of love.

"Great! Daddy's the best!" Xiao Bao laughed happily and hugged Xiao Wang's neck tightly.

"Let's go play!" Xiao Bao grabbed Xiao Wang's hand, eager to play with him.

"Okay," Xiao Wang replied with a smile, then followed Xiao Bao into the living room.

Juanzi watched the father and son having so much fun and thought that this kind of life was really wonderful.

Her husband was hiding many things from her. She knew he had other women outside, but she loved him very much, and her child couldn't live without his father, so she accepted this lifestyle.

"Honey, Xiaobao, wash your hands and come eat," Juanzi called out gently from the dining room, her hands still busy setting out the bowls and chopsticks.

"Here we are, Xiao Bao, let's go eat." Xiao Wang carried Xiao Bao towards the restroom.

The family of three sat around the dining table in a warm and cozy atmosphere, enjoying their dinner happily.

After dinner, Xiao Wang looked at Xiao Bao and said, "Xiao Bao, go play for a while. Daddy has something to say to Mommy."

Xiao Bao nodded obediently, indicating that he understood, and then ran off to play in the living room by himself.

Juanzi quickly tidied up the dishes and then followed Xiao Wang into the bedroom.

"Honey, what's wrong?" Juanzi asked with concern.

"Juanzi, come and sit down." Xiao Wang gently pulled Juanzi to sit on the edge of the bed and held her hand tightly in his own.
