Qian Chengfeng quickly noticed that the princess's walking posture was a bit off. After careful observation, he discovered that she would sometimes unconsciously switch feet when standing, probably because her shoes didn't fit well or she was tired from walking.
He then realized that perhaps he had taken too long to choose the right place, keeping the princess with him the whole time, which had caused her feet to become blistered.
He couldn't help but feel a little guilty, wondering how he could be so careless.
They didn't even consider this small matter properly.
"Your Highness, please choose these for now. I'm a little hungry, let's go eat."
Qian Chengfeng tried to make his tone sound gentle, but he didn't want to appear too deliberate.
"Okay, then I'll be going now."
Upon hearing this, the princess secretly breathed a sigh of relief, thinking that she could finally rest.
All she wants now is to find a place to sit down and rest.
“You’re coming too,” Qian Chengfeng said coldly.
The princess was surprised that he would invite her to dinner, paused for a moment, and then agreed.
"Mr. Qian, I'm really not hungry yet, so I won't have dinner with you." Princess Wang quickly waved her hand to politely decline.
However, Qian Chengfeng did not hesitate at all and directly took the princess's hand and walked towards the restaurant: "Let's go, let's get something to eat, and then pick out a few clothes later."
The princess was somewhat surprised, but not wanting to refuse, she could only nod obediently: "Hmm... alright then!"
Qian Chengfeng took out his phone and sent a message to his assistant, telling him to go to the pharmacy and buy some medicine and bandages.
Then he took the princess to a Chinese restaurant near the mall. The restaurant had a quiet environment, elegant decor, and very exquisite dishes.
They chose a window seat and sat down, enjoying the view outside.
The waiter handed over the menu, but Qian Chengfeng didn't even glance at it before directly naming the dishes: "Steamed sea bass, braised pork ribs, stir-fried pea shoots, and winter melon soup."
These are the flavors he remembers, the dishes his mother loved to cook for him.
I never expected that the princess would also like to eat these things, but it was just a beautiful misunderstanding.
The princess grew up in a poor rural family, which fostered her good habit of not being picky about food; she loved almost all dishes.
In addition, she had walked too much today and it was well past mealtime; she was already starving.
"Come over and sit here," Qian Chengfeng said, pointing to the seat next to him after the meal.
The princess walked over and sat down, looking bewildered.
Qian Chengfeng gently lifted the princess's leg and took off her shoes.
"You..." The princess tried to pull her foot back, but Qian Chengfeng did not give her the chance.
"Don't move around, your shoes are all rubbed raw. I'll put some medicine on them for you, and we'll go buy you a new pair later," Qian Chengfeng said softly.
"Mr. Qian, no need to trouble yourself, I can do it myself." The princess replied shyly in a low voice.
However, Qian Chengfeng did not answer. He focused on applying ointment to her foot and carefully put on a band-aid.
As the princess watched Qian Chengfeng intently applying the medicine, an indescribable feeling welled up inside her.
She never imagined that this cold and aloof person could have such a gentle side.
After the medicine was applied, the two left the restaurant together.
However, at this moment, they encountered an unexpected person—the princess's ex-boyfriend, Xiao Sun.
"Xiao Fang, it's been a long time! You've become more and more beautiful!" Xiao Sun said with a smile.
A flicker of disgust crossed the princess's eyes as she coldly replied, "Excuse me, sir, you've mistaken me for someone else."
"Xiaofang, it was all my fault before, and I really regret it now. Have you forgotten the wonderful times we had together?" Xiao Sun said, feigning deep affection.
"Get out of the way, a good dog doesn't block the way."
The princess answered without hesitation, her beautiful face filled with disdain and anger.
Qian Chengfeng, standing to the side, frowned slightly and quietly observed the two people.
He knew in his heart that the man in front of him was the heartless man who had relied on the princess to start her business and then ruthlessly abandoned her.
"She said she doesn't know you, so get out of here right now, or you'll face the consequences." Qian Chengfeng's cold voice rang out, carrying an unquestionable authority.
His eyes were cold and sharp, as if they could pierce through one's soul.
Looking at Qian Chengfeng, Xiao Sun felt a surge of fear, but he still forced a smile and said, "You're one of her new richest men, aren't you? You have no idea she's been with me for five or six years; she's practically a sitting duck..."
His words were full of malice and insults.
Qian Chengfeng's face instantly darkened, and a hint of murderous intent flashed in his eyes.
He looked coldly at Xiao Sun and said, "Get out. Don't make me say it a third time."
His voice was icy cold, sending chills down one's spine.
Seeing Qian Chengfeng's resolute attitude, Xiao Sun knew he couldn't salvage the situation and had no choice but to leave dejectedly.
Qian Chengfeng saw a hint of disappointment on the princess's face and mistakenly assumed that she still had some lingering feelings and reluctance to let go of this relationship.
So he comforted her, saying, "Don't be sad for someone like that; he's not worth it."
The princess gently shook her head, indicating that she was not sad.
On the contrary, she felt fortunate because Xiao Sun's ruthlessness made her see his true colors.
"Thank you, Mr. Qian. Actually, I'm not sad at all; on the contrary, I'm very happy. I'm grateful for his ruthlessness, which made me face reality. It's wise to stay away from someone like him as soon as possible. I just regret how blind I was to have fallen for such a scumbag."
Qian Chengfeng nodded slightly; he understood the princess's feelings at that moment.
“Such people will naturally be punished,” he said calmly.
