Chapter 191 Qian Chengfeng Saves the Princess (Part 2)

"Mr. Qian, thank you. If it weren't for you, I..." Princess Wang said with lingering fear, her voice trembling slightly, as if she was still immersed in the fear she had just experienced.

"You're welcome. I haven't thanked you yet for helping me buy clothes last time."

"How are you feeling now? Do you want me to take you home?" Qian Chengfeng asked with concern, a hint of tenderness in his eyes.

The doctor told him that as long as the princess woke up, everything would be fine and she could leave the hospital immediately.

"Okay, sure."

The princess responded softly, a blush rising on her face, looking somewhat embarrassed.

Actually, she felt a little guilty because she hadn't been willing to accompany Qian Chengfeng to buy clothes last time, and had even secretly complained about it behind his back.

Unexpectedly, Qian Chengfeng kept this matter in mind and expressed his gratitude.

She secretly resolved that she must help more diligently next time, because this time she was very grateful for Qian Chengfeng's help; otherwise, the consequences would have been unimaginable.

After getting into the car, the two remained silent, and an awkward atmosphere filled the car.

Princess looked at Qian Chengfeng with curiosity, wondering: Why was Qian Chengfeng wearing such a heavy suit in such hot weather?

However, she didn't ask any questions, but just sat quietly to the side, occasionally glancing out the window.

The princess stood at the entrance of the building, still feeling somewhat uneasy, and hesitated to go in.

It was very late, and she felt extremely helpless, not knowing who to ask to keep her company through the night.

Just then, Qian Chengfeng suddenly spoke up, "I suddenly remembered something. I think I forgot to bring my keys. Can I stay here for the night? I'll leave first thing tomorrow morning."

He noticed the princess's fear and offered this excuse.

Upon hearing this, the princess immediately replied happily, "Okay! No problem."

With someone by her side, she suddenly felt less afraid.

Although she was not familiar with Qian Chengfeng, the princess knew in her heart that, given his status and position, he would certainly not have any improper thoughts about her.

After all, she was of average appearance and not young anymore, while someone like Qian Chengfeng, surrounded by beautiful women, would never be interested in her.

Therefore, the princess felt very at ease.

For Qian Chengfeng, tonight was also a rare opportunity, and he hoped to spend more time with the princess.

After entering the room, the princess apologized to Qian Chengfeng, saying, "Mr. Qian, I'm sorry, we don't have any men's slippers. Please just wear your shoes in."

"Okay, sure."

Qian Chengfeng's tone was noticeably more relaxed, and there was even a hint of unnoticed pleasure.

"I'm a little hungry and I'd like to cook some noodles. Would you like some?" the princess asked Qian Chengfeng.

The princess was originally very tired and sleepy, and planned to rest when she got back, but she didn't expect to encounter this incident, which made her a little hungry.

"Okay, sure."

Upon hearing the princess's words, Qian Chengfeng realized that he hadn't eaten since noon that day. He hadn't noticed it until now, and he was actually quite hungry.

"Then please sit for a while, it will be ready soon." The princess went to the kitchen.

Watching the busy people, Qian Chengfeng felt incredibly at ease.

They then observed the princess's house; it was small, but very clean and cozy.

The Princess's home is decorated in a simple yet comfortable style. The living room features a light gray sofa and a wooden coffee table, while several art paintings hang on the wall, creating a tranquil and elegant atmosphere.

The kitchen was fully equipped, and the princess was skillfully preparing the ingredients, the aroma of cooking noodles gradually filling the air.

Qian Chengfeng sat on the sofa, enjoying the tranquility and warmth.

He couldn't help but think of his own life, busy yet lonely.

Now, in this small house, he feels an unprecedented sense of warmth and security.

After glancing at it casually, Qian Chengfeng's gaze unconsciously drifted back to the princess.

He felt as if he had suddenly returned to his childhood, when his mother was wearing an apron and cooking for him and his younger brother in the kitchen.

"Dinner's ready," the princess said, placing the noodles on the coffee table.

"Okay, sure." Qian Chengfeng finally came to his senses.

The two finished their noodles in silence. Qian Chengfeng felt that these were the best noodles he had eaten since his mother passed away.

In the end, they even drank all the soup.

"Are you still hungry? I'll make you another bowl."

"I was full, but it was so delicious that I ate it all," Qian Chengfeng said somewhat embarrassedly as he put down his bowl.

"Uh... well, that's fine then. Eating too much at night isn't good for digestion," the princess said with a smile.

She thought to herself that Qian Chengfeng was really polite, and wondered to herself: How delicious could these noodles be?

It's just so-so. I guess he only said that because he saw how late I made it for him.

The princess smiled, stood up, and began to clear the dishes.

Qian Chengfeng wanted to help, but the princess stopped him.

"Please sit for a while, I'll take care of these things," the princess said gently.

Qian Chengfeng nodded, his heart filled with emotion. He walked to the sofa and sat down, watching the princess's busy figure, a warm feeling welling up in his heart.

He thought of his mother, the woman who had given him boundless love.

Now, although his mother is no longer here, the princess's presence has made him feel the warmth of home again.

"Thank you, Your Highness," Qian Chengfeng said softly.

The princess heard his words, stopped what she was doing, and turned to look at him.

She smiled and said, "You're welcome."

The princess thought it was about making noodles and letting him stay overnight.

Qian Chengfeng knew that the princess had misunderstood, but he did not explain, because saying some things would only cause unnecessary trouble.

He felt that such a misunderstanding was actually not bad, at least it could avoid some awkward situations.

As for the princess, she probably just saw Qian Chengfeng as someone who helped her, without really thinking about his true intentions.

After clearing away the dishes, the princess found blankets and quilts in the room and made a makeshift bed for Qian Chengfeng in the living room.

There was no way around it; the sofa at home was simply too small to accommodate Qian Chengfeng's enormous body.

"Thank you for your trouble," Qian Chengfeng said somewhat embarrassed.

"It's alright, goodnight," the princess replied gently.

"Good night," Qian Chengfeng said softly.

Qian Chengfeng's back ached all night until dawn, as if countless needles were pricking it, making it impossible for him to fall asleep.

So he packed his bedding early in the morning and quietly left the princess's house.

When he got home, the servants had just gotten up.

After Wu Yong applied the medicine for him, he drove straight to the company without even having breakfast.

Because he knew that there was still a tough battle to fight today.
