Chapter 193 Qian Mubai Officially Enters the Qian Family

What Qian Ming didn't expect was that, without his knowledge, Qian Chengfeng had grown to the point of being out of his control.

He couldn't help but sigh, "This kid is getting more and more unpredictable! It seems I made the right decision."

Qian Mubai sat quietly to the side, pondering the relationship between his father and Qian Chengfeng.

He realized that the power structure within the Qian Group was changing, and he had to be vigilant and look for opportunities. Qian Chengfeng was more popular than he had imagined.

“Amu, do your best at the company. You’ve seen that the Qian family business isn’t just your dad’s decision-making power anymore, but I believe in you and that you can do even better.”

"After all, we plan to hand over the Qian family business to you in the future." Qian Ming suddenly broke the silence, obviously offering Qian Mubai a rosy picture.

Qian Mubai raised his head, a hint of disdain flashing in his eyes, but he quickly regained his composure, unnoticed by Qian Ming.

He replied gently, "Okay, Dad, I understand. Don't worry, I will try my best."

Qian Mubai knew his father's intentions. He understood that he was just a tool to deal with Qian Chengfeng. His father didn't love anyone but himself; he was selfish and cold-hearted.

Qian Mubai pondered how to deal with this situation. He decided to continue observing the actions of Qian Chengfeng and other family members, while actively improving his own abilities and influence.

He wanted to secure his position within the Qian Group and strive for greater power and resources.

Now that I've joined the Qian family, I can decide how things will develop in the future.

He certainly has reason to be proud, having graduated from an Ivy League university, and later leaving several companies due to differing philosophies with his bosses.

The main reason is that they are too arrogant. Having the ability to study in school does not necessarily mean they have the ability to work.

But he has always believed that he was simply not given a chance, otherwise he would be better than anyone else.

Qian Mubai was also dissatisfied with Qian Ming. He had been back in China for four years, and if it weren't for his mother's influence, he still wouldn't have been able to get into the Qian family business.

In fact, Qian Ming had an inexplicable feeling towards Qian Chengfeng. After all, he was the successor he had personally groomed. Although he didn't particularly like this son, Qian Chengfeng's work ability was beyond doubt.

Therefore, when Qian Mubai proposed to join the Qian Group, Qian Ming did not agree immediately, but instead chose to delay.

Qian Mubai's mother saw through Qian Ming's thoughts. She knew that her son could not enter the Qian family business by relying on Qian Ming.

Therefore, she decided to take a roundabout approach and start from the side.

She began chatting frequently with Qian Ming, discussing everyday matters.

During the conversation, she subtly mentioned Qian Chengfeng's current situation and how someone else's child had taken over the company and kicked their father out—all of which were, of course, true.

Upon hearing this, Qian Ming's heart stirred.

He realized that he could not hand over his power to Qian Chengfeng now. Although he intended to make him his successor, he was still very young, not even sixty years old. He could not let Qian Chengfeng monopolize power, otherwise he would not have a good end either.

So he finally relented and said he was willing to let Qian Mubai join the Qian Group.

This was the best solution he considered after much thought: let his two sons fight like the snipe and the clam, so that he could reap the benefits.

Thus, Qian Mubai successfully took his first step into the Qian Group.

"Your dad and mom are counting on you from now on."

Qian Ming patted Qian Mubai on the shoulder, his eyes full of the satisfaction of having succeeded in his scheme.

Qian Mubai smiled and nodded: "Yes, okay, Dad. My abilities are still insufficient, and I will need your guidance in the future."

His tone was very humble, and you couldn't sense a trace of arrogance in him.

Qian Ming nodded in satisfaction, a rare smile appearing on his face, before turning and leaving.

Watching Qian Ming's departing figure, Qian Mubai took a deep breath and began to adapt to the new environment.

Soon, someone came and showed him around the company's business processes.

Meanwhile, Qian Chengfeng returned to his office.

"Mr. Qian, Chairman Qian has gone too far," the assistant complained indignantly, feeling that Qian Chengfeng had been treated unfairly.

However, Qian Chengfeng smiled slightly and said nonchalantly, "It's alright. If he has the ability, let him use it. The problem is that he doesn't."

He knew his father's illegitimate son so well that he knew him better than the father himself.

He knew Qian Mubai's character well: arrogant, conceited, lustful, and stubborn.

Since he dared to let the other party into the company, he must be confident in handling any situation.

He believed that once the time was right, the other party would naturally slink away.

This way, Qian Ming will no longer mention letting Qian Mubai join the company, and he can use this as an excuse to get back more shares.

"I knew Mr. Qian would have a way. Mr. Qian, it's alright, I'll just go back to work now," the assistant said.

Qian Chengfeng waved for him to leave, then leaned back in his chair, closed his eyes, and finally relaxed his tense nerves.

However, just as he relaxed, the wound on his back began to ache faintly.

Qian Chengfeng frowned, reached out and touched the gauze on his back. It seemed a little damp, probably from seeping blood.

He sighed helplessly, thinking, "It seems this injury won't heal anytime soon; I'll just have to bear with it for now."

So he opened the drawer, took out painkillers, poured out two pills, and swallowed them.

Then, he took a deep breath, sat up straight again, and continued working.

Time passed by, and Qian Chengfeng worked until late at night. Only when he was the only one left in the office with the lights on, did he stretch and stand up.

He glanced at the time; it was already past midnight. He decided not to go home and instead went directly to the apartment complex where the princess lived.

He knew in his heart that even if he couldn't see the princess, he could feel a sense of peace as long as he lived somewhere close to her.

Once home, Wu Yong skillfully treated his wounds and changed his dressing.

"Thank you for your help, Uncle Wu," Qian Chengfeng said after getting dressed.

“You need to be careful. Make sure your wound doesn’t reopen, or you’ll suffer,” Wu Yong said with concern.

"I understand, I'll be careful, Uncle Wu. Please drive carefully on your way back."

After seeing Wu Yong off, Qian Chengfeng cooked himself a bowl of hot noodles and sat down at the table to eat.

Although it didn't taste as good as what the princess made, he still ate it all.

After finishing his meal, Qian Chengfeng was exhausted and collapsed onto the soft bed.

Having barely slept all night and still injured, he quickly fell asleep and slept soundly.

That night, he enjoyed a rare peaceful sleep.
