Two days after our last meeting.
Nian: Miss Huo, are you free tomorrow?
Huo Jinning heard the WeChat notification sound, opened WeChat and saw that it was Fu Qinian.
The eclipsing cha (a type of wild animal): has free time.
Year: Then I'll treat you to dinner, is that convenient for you?
The 'eating melon' 'cha' means convenient.
Holding her phone, Huo Jinning muttered to herself, "I'll always be free for meals, even if it's under a knife, I'll go. The only thing I can't let down is good food, hehe."
Year: Can I pick you up at 2 PM tomorrow?
The eccentric hermit gave an OK sign.
Year: See you tomorrow.
The gossiping bastard: See you tomorrow.
Huo Jinning looked at the chat box with Fu Qinian and thought to herself: If a man like him, who is always expressionless and concise, really had a girlfriend, I really don't know what would happen.
However, it is undeniable that many girls would be willing to be drawn to him simply because of his looks.
Otherwise, who would dare to approach someone so indifferent?
They would only be frightened away by the cold aura emanating from him.
The following afternoon, the weather was sunny and pleasant, with bright and warm sunshine, just right.
Huo Jinning checked the time and felt it was about time to leave, so she left half an hour early, intending to wait outside first.
After all, she couldn't keep this "big shot" waiting! As she came down the stairs, she happened to see Zhao Qiuying watching a TV series with great interest.
"Mom, I won't be home for dinner tonight, so please don't wait for me," Huo Jinning said softly.
"Okay, so what are you planning to eat out of here?" Zhao Qiuying asked with concern, her voice exceptionally gentle.
"I don't know yet, Fu Qinian is treating," Huo Jinning replied.
“Fu Qinian? That sounds like a boy’s name,” Zhao Qiuying pressed.
"Yes, I helped him with something before, so he said he wanted to treat me to a meal to express his gratitude," Huo Jinning explained.
Hearing this, Zhao Qiuying couldn't help but wonder: Could it be that her daughter is dating a boy who went out to eat with her?
Upon closer inspection, Huo Jinning was still dressed in her usual clothes, without any intention of dressing up; and judging from her tone of voice, she did not show any shyness like a young girl.
Zhao Qiuying pondered to herself, feeling somewhat worried: After all, Ningning was still young, what if she was deceived by bad people?
With that in mind, she decided to have a good talk with her daughter when she returned, reminding her to take good care of herself.
"You're going to wear this?" Zhao Qiuying asked, frowning.
Although she doesn't want her daughter to start dating too early, she believes that she shouldn't dress so casually when going out to eat.
"What's wrong with that? Isn't everything fine?" Huo Jinning glanced down at her gray tracksuit and replied nonchalantly.
"What if someone invites you to a Western restaurant? Are you planning to go like that?"
Zhao Qiuying stood up and pulled Huo Jinning back to her room.
"Mom, even if we're having Western food, it's not a formal occasion. What's wrong with dressing like this? It's not like we're not going to pay for it." Huo Jinning tried to argue.
"Alright, stop nagging and hurry up and change into something else." Zhao Qiuying interrupted her impatiently and headed straight for Huo Jinning's dressing room.
The spacious area is filled with rows of neat clothes racks, displaying all kinds of gorgeous garments.
From exquisite haute couture to trendy fashion pieces, every garment is a perfect blend of quality and style.
At the center of the dressing room stands an ornate dressing table, laden with luxurious cosmetics and jewelry.
The surrounding drawers and cabinets are filled with countless pairs of high heels and exquisite handbags, with every detail showcasing the owner's taste and personality.
After a while, Zhao Qiuying picked out an outfit and said to Huo Jinning, "Here, try this one on!"
"Alright!" Huo Jinning sighed helplessly, then obediently changed into the clothes her mother had chosen.
This enormous walk-in closet had briefly piqued her interest before, but that was when she had just returned to this home.
Since then, she has only kept some everyday clothes, shoes and bags near the door.
As for the items in other areas, they seemed to have been forgotten by time, lying there quietly, untouched by anyone.
It wasn't that Huo Jinning was unwilling to rummage through those clothes; it was simply that she was too lazy and felt it was unnecessary.
Moreover, she doesn't particularly care about fashion trends.
So for so long, the clothes have remained in brand new condition, with the tags still attached.
Before she could even ask a question, Zhao Qiuying had already started giving orders: "Hmm, this outfit is fine! It looks pretty, but you need to fix your hair and put on some light makeup to make it even more perfect. Go on!"
"Okay, Mom," Huo Jinning replied helplessly.
In her heart, she thought she should have left quietly; now she had time to put on makeup and dress up.
After we finished packing, it was already past the agreed time.
"Mom, I'm running late, I have to go." Huo Jinning hurriedly left the house.
Fu Qinian sat in the car waiting for Huo Jinning.
His gaze was drawn to a beautiful figure not far away.
Huo Jinning was wearing a red, knee-length dress, the hem of which swayed gently in the wind, like a blooming flower.
Her half-up bun hairstyle was playful and cute, with a few strands of hair fluttering in the wind, adding a touch of liveliness to her look.
Her light makeup was just right, and her slightly upturned lips revealed a faint smile.
She walked slowly toward Fu Qinian, each step light and graceful.
The sunlight shone on her, as if draping her in a golden veil, making her even more enchanting.
As she drew closer, Fu Qinian could even smell the faint fragrance emanating from her, a scent as fresh as a meadow after rain, bringing a sense of peace and comfort.
Fu Qinian felt his heart rate increase uncontrollably.
"I'm sorry to have kept you waiting," Huo Jinning said softly, expressing her apology.
"It's alright, I just arrived recently. Please get in the car," Fu Qin replied softly.
"Okay." Huo Jinning nodded politely and walked towards the car.
"Miss Huo, please watch your step." Wang Kun, who was standing next to her, thoughtfully opened the car door for Huo Jinning and held the door frame with his hand to prevent her from bumping her head.
"Thank you." Huo Jinning nodded again in thanks, then bent down and got into the car.
The once spacious carriage now felt somewhat cramped due to Huo Jinning's arrival.
This feeling of crowding doesn't stem from actual spatial limitations, but rather from an indescribable sense of oppressive atmosphere.
It was as if the whole world had suddenly shrunk, leaving only the two of them in one space.
