(Small Theater) Shift Change ~ Month
After a year and a half of neglect, I was falling behind academically. Luckily, I still had my unwavering passion for painting, so during evening study, I enrolled in the school's painting class, a dedicated time slot for art students. Miraculously, in the past six months, I've been well-behaved, going home only twelve days a week. I no longer cried or made a scene. Because the homeroom teacher had been replaced, the new teacher reassigned those of us with poor academic performance to the liberal arts class. It seemed like it was for our own good, but in reality, it was just another reminder that science wasn't for us. But it didn't matter. For twelve days, I could endure it, and I no longer had any thoughts of self-harm or suicide. Growth happens in a matter of moments.
Half a year has passed, and my grades are neither good nor bad, and I am always at the bottom of the class. However, I am very relieved that I am in a good school and have not gone with the flow. At least, I have not grown up to be an outlier in the eyes of my parents. At most, I am just a poor student, which is not a big crime. You have to know that in schools nowadays, isolation, depression, anxiety, love and other problems are everywhere, and teachers are working in groups to control everything, so mine is naturally nothing.
There is still a year left, and I don’t know where to go in the future. I’ll just have to make do with it.

"It feels so good to be back on campus again. It's so friendly and reassuring. I missed you all after not seeing you for a week."
Er Yi: "Teacher Qi Yue, you didn't come last week. The teacher at the front desk said you went to be a host. Tell me about that TV show so I can go check it out."
Qi Yue: "Well, which TV show? I need to think about it."
"How about I, your teacher, work hard and get on some show in the future to make you proud."
Hanghang: "My mom showed me a photo of Teacher Qiyue. She looks pretty good with her makeup."
After saying that, he glanced at Qiyue and continued, "She looks better today. She looks like a fairy in the photo, but she looks like Qiyue today."
Qiyue thought to herself, "What do you mean by 'like Qiyue'? Am I not Qiyue? You all, how dare you talk about me here? Look at you, one by one. Yiyi, look at your face. I know without even looking that you've been eating chocolates again. You're afraid of being discovered. Otherwise, you can't be like a big cat. Look at you, Hanghang, you're still talking about me. Your own clothes are covered in dust. You might have rubbed them on the wall or the floor. And Xiaoyu, you didn't even put your water cup down properly. If I don't put it back, your painting will look like a work of art. Yes, art. And Dudu, you didn't even tie the straps of your apron properly. Are you pretending to be a martial arts hero with me? And Qiushuo, well, there's nothing much to say about Qiushuo. He's clean, his things are neatly arranged, and he sits straight. And Limi, well, Limi's hair is combed beautifully today, and the clips are nice too. It's my fault. I shouldn't miss you guys."
"Okay, my little cuties, what are we going to learn to draw today?" Qi Yue said as she handed the water to Xiaoyu, who obediently drank the water in the bottle.
Art teachers? They have to be versatile, able to teach, coax children, withstand students' attacks, and resist the urge to lose their temper. It's all about tempering steel.
Outside the classroom, parents are waiting for their children to finish school. Some are reading, some are playing with their phones, and some are chatting quietly. Will I, many years from now, be like them, waiting for my own children to finish school?
Life is made up of one tie after another. Only when you have ties will you miss someone, and then you will not be alone. Otherwise, the road of life will be really lonely.
"Before me, there's laughter and joy, and one smiling face after another, seemingly telling me one unfinished story after another, a story that needs time to write, with you as the protagonists. I'm really looking forward to it, looking forward to your future, and looking forward to my future colliding with yours."
Xiaoyu raised his hand and paced back and forth: "Teacher Qiyue, Teacher Qiyue."
Qi Yue understood what Xiao Yu meant at a glance. He wanted to go to the toilet.
The teacher who was teaching today was Teacher Zhenzhen. Teacher Zhenzhen gave a wicked smile, grabbed Xiaoyu's hand and said, "Come on, Xiaoyu, Teacher Zhenzhen will take you there."
Xiaoyu shook off Teacher Zhenzhen's hand and returned to Teacher Qiyue, holding Teacher Qiyue tightly, as if saying with practical actions, if you don't hurry up, I'm going to pee my pants.
Qi Yue told the children to continue painting, and at the same time signaled to Teacher Zhenzhen with her eyes, asking her to take good care of the little cuties in my class, as they are my treasures.
Qiyue took Xiaoyu's hand and trotted to the bathroom outside the campus. The waiting parents were no longer surprised by this scene. They believed in Qiyue, the teacher their children liked, and they could see Qiyue's sincerity towards their children. They also believed that Qiyue treated all children equally and would not favor one over the other. They were more at ease to leave their children to Qiyue, so the pace and control of the course were controlled by Qiyue herself, and there was no questioning or denial.
Children's education is like this. Compared with what is learned, what is more important is what is learned. Knowledge is important, but in the process of learning knowledge, what you experience, what you feel, and what you express invisibly are the most important parts of children's education. Don't look with your eyes, feel with your heart, and communicate with your children with your heart.
The entire floor of the building where the four schools are located is an educational institution. Therefore, some schools will separate the toilets from the campus for the sake of the overall design of the school or the safety of the children.
For example, Yun Yi.
"Teacher Qiyue, you know what? I came here early today, and I even brought you some candy."
"Xiaoyu, you have to hold it in. Mom and Dad went out for a walk, but they didn't leave any pants for you."
Qiyue's mind was full of trying to get Xiaoyu to the bathroom as quickly as possible, while Xiaoyu's mind was full of expressing his childish thoughts. Just as the two of them pushed open the school door and headed towards the mall bathroom, a strange yet familiar figure, upon hearing the child calling out "Teacher Qiyue," glanced over.
Qiyue was also curious. Today, she saw someone standing by the escalator far from the school entrance. Thinking it was a parent, she took a quick look. That one glance made her heart skip a beat. But she quickly recovered and continued taking Xiaoyu to the bathroom.
"Qiyue, let me tell you, I also went to eat hamburgers today."
"Xiao Yu, you must hold on. We'll be going to the bathroom soon." Qi Yue came to her senses and gave Xiao Yu instructions after hearing him talking to her.
"Qiyue, you know what? Children can't eat too much junk food. When I grow up, I can eat it."
"Xiaoyu, we're here. Come in quickly. I'll be waiting for you at the door."
When we got to the bathroom, Xiaoyu was still talking. Because she was a female teacher, she naturally took the child to the women's restroom. Otherwise, it would be too embarrassing.
Finally having a moment to think, Qi Yue fell into confusion: "Why is he here? How did he know I work here? Is it because I am dazzled? This shouldn't be the case."
There are so many questions in my mind and my thoughts are all over the place.
"Teacher Qiyue, Teacher Qiyue, I'm coming out. Please stop pushing the door."
"Oh, sorry, Xiaoyu, the teacher was distracted."
"It's okay, Qiyue. I ate the candy I brought you while I was waiting for you to finish class. But don't be sad. I'll bring you another one next time."
"Okay, handsome boy. It's an honor to share your favorite with me. But, let's not eat too much, it will hurt our teeth."
After washing hands, they returned hand in hand.
There was no need to jog back home. Qiyue decided to take a closer look to see if her 250-degree myopia had worsened. Because of her myopia, Qiyue usually wears either framed glasses or contact lenses. When she's resting, she doesn't need any auxiliary equipment. Because she's familiar with the environment, she has no problem with the hazy state.
The distance from the campus to the bathroom was only one minute, but Qi Yue felt like she had walked for a century. She was terrified, as if she had done something wrong.
When Qi Yue walked around the corner, Lin Lei waved his hand and smiled sweetly at Qi Yue, like a sunny boy. It seemed that he had been with children for a long time, and his look of brilliance in front of everyone he looked at was particularly bright.
"Qiyue."
Xiaoyu heard it and looked over to where the voice was coming from. Seeing that Teacher Qiyue didn't answer, he said to her in a baby voice, "Qiyue, that person seems to be calling you again. He's looking at you."
Without waiting for Xiaoyu to speak again, Qiyue took Xiaoyu's hand and walked into the campus, leaving him alone with a lonely figure. He stood there in a daze, looking at the backs of the two people, one big and one small, as they left.
"Qiyue, Qiyue, what do you think of my color?" Di Yi said.
"Qiyue, look, I drew a bow for you. It's a gift for you." Hanghang took Qiyue's hand and pointed at his own painting.
Children are like that. Sometimes, when they get to know you well, they often forget the word "teacher." In their hearts, you're not just their teacher, but more importantly, their friend. In a child's world, there's no such thing as age or size. While they're accepting the world you're showing them, they're also showing you their warmth and love completely, without reservation.
There are still twenty minutes left before the get out of class ends, which is also the longest twenty minutes in Qi Yue’s teaching career. This feeling is even worse than that of the teacher evaluation and open classes.
"Qiyue, are you okay? You don't look well."
Qi Yue looked at Teacher Zhen Zhen, took a deep breath, smiled bitterly, and said, "It's okay."
It would be a lie to say that nothing was wrong. At this moment, Qi Yue had already thought about the exits of the entire campus and the escape routes of this floor in her mind, and planned several escape plans for herself. She was clearly acting like a thief.
It's unbelievable, I can't believe it. The person who I was about to forget appears in front of me again. I thought that being busy could dilute everything, but who would have thought that it was just a lie to deceive myself. Some things, the more you want to forget, the more they will appear inadvertently. Remind you, to be continued.
