Jingu Ruins (Part 2)
With a loud "bang", the stone wall collapsed.
Ling Qingqiu and his companions headed south and met a few inner disciples. After walking for a while, they encountered a rock marrow beast.
The Rock Marrow Beast, a demonic beast from ancient times, is no longer found in the modern world of cultivation. The Rock Marrow Beast existed so long ago that records of it are few and far between, causing several people to feel a bit nervous.
The group wanted to take a detour, but the Rock Marrow Beast had already noticed them. It stood up, and the crystal pillars on its back supported the stone wall, causing it to collapse.
Ling Qingqiu instinctively stepped forward to protect his fellow apprentices. You Jingjia followed closely behind, joining him in the front. The Wuxia Sword and the Zhuyue Sword hummed and clanged, ready to strike.
Xie Zhitiao was pulled behind Lin Zhuo for protection, and was speechless for a moment. Does he really look so weak?
Although he was not very serious in his daily life, he was reliable when it came to serious matters. Xie Zhitiao vaguely remembered seeing relevant records in ancient books, and he tried hard to recall them.
The Rock Marrow Beast half-raised itself, howling heavenward, its mouth shooting sparks of gravel in response. You Jingjia, Moon Chaser Sword in hand, erected an ice wall from the ground to block the Rock Marrow Beast's attack.
Xie Zhitiao's eyes suddenly lit up. He remembered!
"Big Brother! Second Sister!" he shouted urgently, "Attack its belly! That crescent-shaped white stone is its weak point!"
Upon hearing this, several inner disciples stepped forward with swords drawn to cover Ling Qingqiu and You Jingjia.
Lin Zhuo stood at the forefront, her sword gleaming with a green aura. She closed her eyes and silently chanted in her heart. Vines quickly sprouted around the Rock Marrow Beast, wrapping around its limbs.
The Rock Marrow Beast was enraged, and demonic fire ignited beside its side. Several inner disciples stepped forward to attract its attention.
With a long roar, one of the crystal pillars on the Rock Marrow Beast's back broke. Seeing it was outnumbered, the Rock Marrow Beast suddenly stopped resisting and let out a whimpering sound.
Xie Zhitiao's sword suddenly pierced into its mouth, stopping its whimpering.
His expression was serious. "It's calling for its companions. Let's finish this battle quickly."
The vines tightened around the beast, and it struggled. The ground began to shake as it struggled, and You Jingjia seized the opportunity to pin it to the ground.
With a loud bang, Ling Qingqiu attracted thunder from the sky, which struck the crescent-shaped white rock on the belly of the Rock Marrow Beast.
With a cry of pain, the Rock Marrow Beast gradually stopped struggling and stopped breathing.
"Thank you, senior brothers and sisters!" Several inner disciples looked at each other and clasped their fists towards the four of them.
"Nothing." Ling Qingqiu shook his head and said gently, "Leave as soon as possible. The monster just roared so loudly, it might attract other rock marrow beasts."
He put the body of the Rock Marrow Beast into a storage bag and handed it to the leader of the group.
A few people were reluctant to accept it, and after some refusals, they finally accepted it. Ling Qingqiu looked up at the sky and said goodbye, "Let's say goodbye. The front is deep in the secret realm, extremely dangerous. It's best for you, brothers and sisters, to stop here."
The others listened to the advice and left after saying goodbye. You Jingjia and Lin Zhuo sat cross-legged to rest, while Xie Zhitiao was very curious about the flint ejected by the rock marrow beast and picked up a few pieces to study.
The energy in Ling Qingqiu's dantian surged. He looked at the calamity clouds slowly gathering momentum above his head and exhaled a breath of foul air.
"Brother, we are here to protect you. This calamity cannot be delayed." You Jingjia opened his eyes with a serious expression.
The thunder tribulation in the Mahayana realm is ferocious. If you don’t overcome it now, it will be even more difficult if you encounter a difficult monster later.
Ling Qingqiu also understood the importance of urgency and nodded, sitting cross-legged. You Jingjia and the other two sat at his sides, setting up a barrier to protect him.

Outside the secret realm.
Rong Si rubbed his chin with interest: "Hey, Cang He, I think Ling Qingqiu is even more perverted than you were back then."
He originally thought that Canghe was enough to be such a talented person, but he never expected that the disciple he took in was even better than him.
Cang He, however, did not appear happy. He remembered that in his previous life, it was in this secret realm that Ling Qingqiu's tribulation was blocked and suffered a backlash, forcing him to recuperate for a long time.
He stood up and said, "Rong Si, open the secret realm. I want to go in."
Seeing that he seemed very serious, Rong Si didn't want to joke around and opened the entrance to the secret realm as he was told. After Cang He walked in, he said to Wan Wuji with emotion: "Brother Wan, Ah He now looks like a master."
Wan Wuji smiled but said nothing. He could tell Cang He was extremely anxious. Qing Qiu should be able to handle just one thunder tribulation, so why was he so uneasy?
————
When Cang He arrived, the thunderbolt was about to strike. He did not disturb his disciples, but stood in the dark, watching over them as they passed the tribulation.
The thunderbolt landed without incident, and smoke and dust rose as usual. Cang He could see Ling Qingqiu, protected by his spiritual power, in the smoke and dust. After confirming that he was in good condition, he turned his attention to his other three disciples.
All four of them were so engrossed in his presence that no one seemed to notice his arrival.
Cang He watched for a moment, then turned his gaze towards the dense forest. He raised his hand and formed a spiritual seal. The seal fell, and the dense forest was silently isolated. Cang He remained on guard, not venting his presence.
He couldn't let anyone influence his apprentice, including himself. No matter what the reason was in his past life that led to Qingqiu's backlash, he didn't want to see it happen again in this life.
The Mahayana realm's thunder tribulation lasted for two days. On the morning of the third day, the tribulation clouds finally dissipated. Smoke and dust still filled the air as Ling Qingqiu sat cross-legged in it. He opened his eyes and immediately looked towards the dense forest.
He had sensed the fluctuations of his master's spiritual power the day before, very lightly, as if he didn't want to alarm them. But he was in the process of transcending the tribulation, and was already sensitive to fluctuations of spiritual power, especially the spiritual power of his master, who he was familiar with.
Ling Qingqiu said nothing and took advantage of the smoke and dust to quickly change his clothes.
Why did Master come? It was clear that in his previous life, he didn't show up until Zhao Zhao was in trouble. No, it wasn't just this time; many things were different from his previous life.
Seeing Ling Qingqiu successfully overcome the tribulation, Cang He finally let go of his worries and disappeared. They had to walk the rest of the road on their own, and how far they could go was up to them. As their master, he only needed to provide support.
Protecting Ling Qingqiu during his tribulation, Lin Zhuo and the other two were all expending considerable energy. While it was still early, the two sisters huddled together to rest, while Xie Zhitiao lazily lay on the ground.
Ling Qingqiu had to put aside his suspicions for the moment. No matter the reason, Master would never harm them. Or perhaps, Master was just like him?
After resting, it was already dawn. Xie Zhitiao was the first to sit up, quite proudly saying, "Brother! Congratulations on your Mahayana breakthrough!"
Ling Qingqiu's expression softened a bit, and he smiled with curved eyebrows, "Yes. Senior Brother also thanks you for your protection."
You Jingjia had regained his energy at this point. He patted Ling Qingqiu on the shoulder like a good brother and said in a solemn tone, "Brother, now that you have entered the Mahayana stage, I believe you will inherit Master's legacy soon."
Just spend the whole day in the main hall reading files, hahahaha!
Lin Zhuo immediately understood the hidden meaning in her words and couldn't help laughing. Seeing Ling Qingqiu looking over, she quickly restrained herself and said, "Senior Sister is right. Senior Brother is now the youngest person in the world of cultivation to reach the Mahayana stage. He must have a bright future."
Ling Qingqiu was a little amused and brushed off the girl's hand on his shoulder. "Since I'm your senior brother, I naturally have to think of my junior sister in everything. How about I go back and tell Master that my junior sister is wholeheartedly helping him."
You Jingjia withdrew her hand, pretending not to hear, and turned to pull Lin Zhao: "Let's go, Zhao Zhao, the wind was so strong just now, did you hear anything?"
Xie Zhitiao put his hands behind his head and walked forward leisurely: "I told you not to arrange things for me, Senior Brother. Senior Brother, let's go!"
Ling Qingqiu lowered his head and smiled, then looked back at the dense forest before taking a step forward and saying, "I'm coming."
The further south you go, the deeper you go into the secret realm. In today's cultivation world, the southernmost part is an ice field, but the ancient cultivation world in the secret realm was not like this.
After cutting off the branches that were climbing up again, You Jingjia finally felt a little annoyed.
"These branches are like living creatures, they jump on people whenever they see them. It's so annoying."
Lin Zhuo looked back at his senior and junior brothers and frowned: "Senior sister, something is not right."
You Jingjia was stunned for a moment, then suddenly realized that she was the only one entangled in the branches. She suddenly froze, remembering what her master had said to her in her previous life.
"Jingjia, the trees in the Divine Realm are most wary of ice elements, so it's best not to go with him."
The trees in the divine realm are most afraid of ice. These branches are only wrapped around her. Does this mean that this place is close to the divine realm?
"I've read in ancient books that the trees in the Divine Realm are most afraid of ice."
The person who said this was Ling Qingqiu. You Jingjia was startled and turned to look at him.
Senior brother is lying. In her previous life, Master warned her this, but she didn't believe it. Master said that all the ancient books related to the Divine Realm were collected in the Immortal Alliance's library and were unknown to outsiders.
But Senior Brother had never been to the Immortal Alliance's library in his life. So how did he know?
You Jingjia didn't dare to think about it too much.
Xie Zhitiao, however, suddenly understood. "Hey, we were already on the south side of the secret realm when we entered, and now we're heading south. Isn't there a legend that the divine realm lies beneath the southern ice sheet?"
However, since it is the southernmost place, how can they get there just by walking and stopping?
Ling Qingqiu, who should have expressed his opinion, remained silent. You Jingjia looked south, then suddenly turned back to look at Xie Zhitiao: "A Tiao, what do you think will happen if we continue south?"
Or, tell me, is this your first time coming here with me?
Xie Zhitiao instinctively felt something was wrong. He hid behind Lin Zhuo and said, "Hey, You Jingjia, why are you calling me like that? Are you trying to trick me again?"
Lin Zhuo was twitched by his pull, and after standing still, he turned sideways, unnoticedly widening the distance between them. Xie Zhitiao didn't notice, but Ling Qingqiu and You Jingjia saw it all.
After hearing his reply, You Jingjia breathed a sigh of relief, then hesitated, "Get lost! I didn't ask you any more questions."
Ling Qingqiu looked at her.
"Jingjia, do you think we should go south?"
You Jingjia looked at him for a few moments, then suddenly closed her eyes, turned around, and continued walking south.
She had a nasal voice.
"Go, why not?"
————
A patch of green obscured the dark figure. The man raised his hand and grabbed the black mass on his shoulder.
"You're right, they're going to get there. It's worth it that I shortened their journey for them."
