Chapter 5: Run! Don’t stop!

Picking up a branch as a weapon, she walked to the pile of firewood.

The lid of the pot was half open. When I opened it, there was fragrant rice porridge inside.

Although she ate some wild fruits, she still couldn't fill her stomach with food. Looking at the rice porridge, she couldn't help swallowing her saliva.

I saw an aluminum lunch box and spoon next to me, so I just scooped up two spoonfuls without caring whether it was cooked or not.

Even though it was very hot, she just blew on it twice and drank it directly.

As soon as I took a bite, blisters appeared in my mouth instantly.

She didn't care about the bubbles in her mouth, scooped another spoonful, blew on it twice, and took another sip.

After two spoonfuls, I felt warm all over and as if I had strength again.

There was a hint of doubt in the voice of the person asking the question.

Listening to his words, Sui Yuzhu had an idea.

Could it be that the owner of this tent is not in the same group as the villagers?

"Didn't the commune notify us last time? They said someone from the Survey Bureau would be staying in the mountains for a while. I guess it's theirs!"

commune?

Sui Yuzhu felt a little unfamiliar with this term.

This is a word that only appeared before the 1990s. Why are they still using it?

Is this place really so backward?

"Hurry up and look for it, before it's taken away by these people, then..."

Before he could finish his words, he saw two people walking out of the dense forest not far away.

The man walking in front shouted at the farmers: "What are you doing?"
