Chapter 88: Hard-mouthed

Sui Yuzhu asked questions to the room, but Guan Xunfang inside did not answer, and the cries of pain soon disappeared, and there was no movement.

After waiting at the door for a while and hearing no more movement from inside, Sui Yuzhu turned around and was about to go back.

As soon as she turned around, she heard Guan Xunfang's weak voice coming from inside: "Little girl, please help me call Qin Yue's father over."

Sui Yuzhu looked back at the room, said nothing more, turned around and went downstairs.

It was naturally inconvenient for her to go to Lin Qingshu and the others' room, so she tiptoed to the sofa.

I wanted to wake Qin Yue up, but he woke up first: "Yuzhu? What's wrong?"

He had just woken up and his voice was still a little hoarse.

Sui Yuzhu said softly, "I don't know what happened to grandma. I heard her screaming in pain in the room."

Qin Yue had also woken up, lifted the quilt and turned over.

"I'll go up and take a look."

Sui Yuzhu nodded and followed him upstairs.

Qin Yue opened the door and the old lady had already sat up.

"What's wrong?" Qin Yue's voice was low.

Sui Yuzhu didn't go in either, but waited at the door of the room to avoid arguing after going in.

Qin Yue's soft and gentle voice came from inside, probably asking the old lady what was wrong.

The pain was so severe that the old lady stopped being stubborn and told Qin Yue that her legs were uncomfortable.

Hearing her say that her calf was cramping, Qin Yue reached out and massaged her.

"Is there anything I can help you with?" Sui Yuzhu looked inside.

Qin Yue raised his eyes and looked towards the door, then immediately said, "There's a hot water bottle in the drawer of the closet downstairs. Can you fill it with some hot water for me? I'll apply some to grandma's legs."

Sui Yuzhu responded and quickly went downstairs.

Qin Yue retracted his gaze, looked at Guan Xunfang, and said softly: "Originally, Yuzhu could have ignored you, but seeing that you were in great pain, and worried that you didn't like her, she didn't go directly into your room, so she went downstairs to call me."

Guan Xunfang snorted lightly but didn't argue.

I don't know if it was because of the pain or if she was really persuaded by Qin Yue.

Sui Yuzhu quickly brought up a hot water bag and handed it to Qin Yue.

Qin Yue reached out to take the hot water bag, and then began to massage Guan Xunfang's legs.

After pressing for a while, Guan Xunfang recovered and looked at Qin Yue, saying to him, "It's okay. You should go back and rest early!"

Qin Yue glanced at her, nodded gently, and helped her put her legs under the quilt.

"If you still feel uncomfortable, please ask Yuzhu to call me."

Hearing his words, Guan Xunfang looked up at Sui Yuzhu who was standing at the door.

Sui Yuzhu just happened to turn around and their eyes met.

The old lady had a strange personality. Although she was grateful to Sui Yuzhu in her heart, she couldn't say it out loud. She could only quickly look away and turn away.

Qin Yue glanced at Sui Yuzhu, his face showing a helpless expression.

"Put the hot water bottle on your legs and apply it properly. You won't catch a cold. Make sure you cover yourself with the quilt."

Qin Yue looked at Guan Xunfang lying on the bed and gave her careful instructions.

At this moment, Guan Xunfang seemed like a child. She responded to every word Qin Yue said, completely losing the arrogance she had during the day.

After giving a few instructions, Qin Yue turned off the lights, closed the door and came out.

Seeing Sui Yuzhu still at the door, Qin Yue reached out and held her hand. He didn't say much, but just asked her to go back and rest early.

Sui Yuzhu nodded slightly.

After watching Qin Yue go downstairs, she turned around and returned to her room.

At three o'clock in the morning, when Sui Yuzhu woke up, she was still very sleepy.

Although she went to bed early last night, she felt she didn't get enough sleep after tossing and turning in the middle of the night.

But, we still have to get up.

After lying in bed with her eyes closed for a while, she finally struggled to get up.

I went downstairs in a daze and was almost conscious again.

Afraid that she would wake Qin Yue up, she tried to slow down her movements.

However, Qin Yue was very perceptive. When she came out of the bathroom, he had already woken up.

"Did I wake you up?" Sui Yuzhu asked in a low voice.

Qin Yue shook his head: "I just woke up."

Sui Yuzhu responded, and when he was about to speak, she said, "You sleep a little longer, I can be alone."

It wasn't a lot anyway, so she could prepare it by herself.

Qin Yue naturally wouldn't let her do all this alone, so after washing up, he helped her prepare.

Sui Yuzhu glanced at him and knew that she couldn't persuade him, so she didn't say anything else.

The two were busy in the kitchen and didn't notice Guan Xunfang standing at the kitchen door.

She is old and sleeps less, so she gets up very early every day.

I was planning to get up early to prepare breakfast, but I didn't expect that Sui Yuzhu and the others were already busy in the kitchen.

She stood at the kitchen door and watched for a long time before Qin Yue saw her.

"Grandma, are you awake? Did we disturb you?" Qin Yue asked.

Guan Xunfang did not answer his question, but just asked aloud: "What are you doing?"

Their family's normal working hours are around eight or nine o'clock, so it's normal for them to get up at six or seven o'clock to prepare breakfast. There's no need to get up at three or four o'clock to prepare breakfast, right?

His eyes moved around the ingredients prepared by Sui Yuzhu again, not understanding what they were doing.

Qin Yue did not hide anything and told her that Sui Yuzhu had to get up early every morning to set up the stall.

Guan Xunfang frowned, not knowing what she was thinking.

Sui Yuzhu turned her head and saw that the old lady had an unhappy expression on her face. She thought that she looked down on her stall.

Soon, she withdrew her gaze and decided not to pay any more attention to Guan Xunfang.

Let her say whatever she wants.

However, to her surprise, Guan Xunfang didn't say anything sarcastic. She just looked at Qin Yue and said in a calm voice, "Has the Qin family fallen on hard times? You can't even afford to support a little girl, and you want her to go out and set up a stall to sell food?"

You are as thin as a bean sprout and you don’t take good care of yourself!

Guan Xunfang has always been arrogant and spoke in a bad tone, so when Qin Yue heard this, he thought she was being sarcastic and replied directly: "What's wrong with setting up a stall? What's wrong with being self-reliant? You look down on those who set up stalls, you are discriminating against the working people."

Guan Xunfang didn't mean that originally, but seeing that Qin Yue had misunderstood, she became a little annoyed: "It's okay for her to get up so early, since she doesn't have to go to work anyway, but you still have to go to work during the day. If you get up every day to help her like this, will you care about your own health?"

As he spoke, he felt that what he said was getting more and more outrageous, so he simply stopped talking and turned away.
