Chapter 212 A Figure in the Endless Mist

The woman in the white dress's words startled both Lu Ning and Saint Qinglan.

Lu Ning looked at the woman with some confusion, because her black hair obscured her face.

However, after thinking about it, Lu Ning realized that during the time he had emerged from the mist, he had met very few women, and there was none who was as powerful as her, especially one who possessed ice-type powers.

Lu Ning asked, puzzled, "Do I know you?"

The woman in the white dress's eyes flickered, and she stared intently at Lu Ning for a long time.

Then she slowly said, "I know you, but you don't know me."

Lu Ning remained silent for a moment, then asked, "Where have we met before?"

"You'll find out in the future," the woman in the white dress said, without giving a direct answer.

Lu Ning frowned, about to speak, when the woman in the white dress suddenly pointed to the rotting giant hand and said, "I cannot freeze Him for too long. You may have something to do right now."

Upon hearing this, Lu Ning shut his mouth and turned to look at the rotting giant hand.

At this moment, tiny cracks seemed to appear inside the ice on His body.

Lu Ning immediately continued to absorb the dim yellow mist, and as he absorbed it, his body oscillated between death and immortality.

Perhaps at this moment his body rots, his flesh falls away, turning into corpse fluid, and at the next moment, his body returns to normal.

The woman in the white dress stared intently at Lu Ning, a hint of emotion flickering in her eyes.

Two breaths later, Lu Ning completely absorbed the dim yellow mist.

As the dim yellow mist was completely absorbed, the rotting giant hand within the ice throbbed frequently, as if its existence might collapse at any moment.

Just as Lu Ning was about to make a move, the woman in the white dress suddenly spoke up: "Perhaps you should close the rift. The true form of the Hand of the Underworld is still on the other side of the rift, and it may retransmit its divine power at any time."

Like Lu Ning, the Saint Qinglan paused, looking at the woman in the white dress with some suspicion.

He didn't know why the woman in the white dress knew about this.

However, reason told him that since the woman in the white dress had saved some souls and frozen the rotting giant hand, she probably wouldn't lie about this.

And...she seems to know Lu Ning?

Saint Qinglan immediately said, "Lu Ning, you go ahead, I'll keep an eye on things!"

Lu Ning nodded slightly in silence.

He then stepped towards the golden halo.

The light circle was located more than a meter above the ground. When Lu Ning arrived in front of the golden light circle, he could clearly see the scene inside.

Mist, an endless white mist.

This immediately reminded Lu Ning of the long years he had spent walking in the endless white fog.

However, it was different from when he walked before.

During the years Lu Ning walked through the mist, the mist was empty and everything was very quiet.

But now, Lu Ning sees a large number of figures appearing and disappearing in the mist.

The twisted and bizarre nature of these figures is beyond description.

Some were dripping with slime, some were covered with tentacles, tongues, teeth and other things, and some were covered with patterns.

The closest one was a rotting giant hand.

This rotting giant hand looks similar to the frozen one, and is clearly the main body.

The rotting giant hand stood within the mist, frantically trying to tear at the golden halo.

However, there seemed to be an invisible barrier between Him and the golden halo.

Even though they were so close, he couldn't touch the golden halo.

Lu Ning, expressionless, gripped both sides of the golden halo with his hands.

He felt as if he could easily turn off the golden halo, but he didn't understand why.

Since he didn't understand, Lu Ning stopped thinking about it.

He pulled hard with both hands, towards the center.

The golden halo, like a door, closed towards the center as Lu Ning's hands moved.

As Lu Ning closed the gap, the rotting giant hand within the mist paused for a moment, then its two fingers seemed to stand upright like legs, its yellowish eyes staring intently at the location of the golden halo, seemingly with a sense of inquiry.

Not only Him, but also a large number of figures in the mist seemed to be looking over as well.

The numerous gazes caused the mist to churn, and Lu Ning heard a series of eerie voices echoing in his ears: "Who's over there?"

boom!

Lu Ning closed the golden halo expressionlessly.

As the aperture closed, it transformed into a golden line, which then seemed to be healed by the space itself, gradually disappearing, and the air returned to its previous calm state.

Lu Ning turned his head and looked at the woman in the white dress.

The woman in the white dress nodded slightly and reached out to shake hands.

The ice shattered the next moment.

The rotting giant hand inside shattered along with the ice.

Without saying a word, Saint Qinglan immediately condensed a large number of wind blades.

Endless wind blades fell on pieces of shattered ice.

Boom boom boom!

The roar continued, and the ice shattered even more.

After the wind blade, the Azure Mist Saint conjured a tornado, which pulled in all the shattered ice and nearby ruins.

Tornadoes are like meat grinders, crushing small pieces of ice directly into powder.

The corpse of the rotting giant hand was also crushed along with it.

When the tornado dissipated, the dust drifted away with the wind, and the phantom of the rotting giant hand was nowhere to be seen.

Saint Qinglan and Lu Ning remained vigilant.

They were worried that the rotting giant hand hadn't died before, and that it was still alive this time.

However, after only a few breaths, they suddenly realized something and looked up at the sky.

Then they saw the giant hand phantom in the sky turn into tiny specks of light and disappear.

As the giant hand phantom disappeared, the dim yellow light curtain also gradually crumbled.

Saint Qinglan stood frozen in place, muttering, "Dead? He's really dead??"
