Lu Ning took the lead, followed closely by Qiu Yuelin and the other two. The sound of their footsteps echoed in the empty hall, making the headquarters seem unusually quiet.
They first checked the first floor and found a lot of blood in the office.

Just as Lu Ning and the others saw the two, a tentacle shot out by a diseased individual whose back was covered in tentacles struck the woman's chest hard.

With each step the muscular giant took, the corridor trembled, and the ground beneath his feet sank slightly.
Facing three fourth-tier awakened beings, Lu Ning remained calm. He put his two pistols into their holsters and clenched his fists.
Then, his body disappeared from the spot, more than ten tentacles missed their mark, and a crater was left where he had been.
