☆5. Chapter 5: Entering the World

Chapter 5: Entering the World

"On the way? Wang Xiaoming, you are really good at talking."

Ling Ran paused, holding his stomach and laughing exaggeratedly, which made people a little confused.

Even Wang Xiaoming, who had been standing outside the door awkwardly, thought for a moment that Ling Ran was moved by his perseverance.

"It's okay, it's okay, I'll wait for you."

Wang Xiaoming said this with a fawning look on his face, like a pug.

"No, I mean you can go away."

A woman's face is like the weather in February, changing in an instant.

In an instant, the smile on Ling Ran's face disappeared completely, and he pointed at the village entrance and scolded Wang Xiaoming coldly.

The latter was stunned and did not have time to adapt to all this, but when he met Ling Ran's cold eyes, he shrank his neck, got into the car obediently and slipped away.

"Grandma, it's cold outside, let's go in."

"Forehead…"

"Grandma, you should use strong measures to deal with guys like this."

"Forehead…"

Then Ling Ran affectionately took his grandmother's hand and retreated back to the courtyard. From Mo Wen's angle, he could even see Ling Ran's red ears.

Although he, like his grandmother, was also unable to adapt to the contrast between Ling Ran before and after, Ling Ran didn't say anything and Mo didn't ask.

Mo Wen is still able to be tolerant towards the only person he cares about.

Wang Xiaoming didn’t tell all lies, at least school was really about to start.

Ling Ran and grandma were packing their bags in the room, while Mo Wen was sitting idly on the stone table in the yard watching the livestock raised by grandma.

Everything in the circle doesn't seem to be much different from China back then, except that technology has grown to a level that Mo Wen once couldn't imagine, and the creatures have not mutated like they did back then.

But the calendar hanging on the wall proves that things are different now.

It should have been a scorching summer, but the sky was still covered with snow, and it was all white, just like the ancient Ice Age.

Fortunately, this time humans have acquired some strength to fight against nature, and all living things have not been completely extinct.

"Of course, the federal news said the weather is going to get warmer, so remember to buy some short-sleeved shirts when you get to the city."

"Federal News used to talk about interstellar migration!"

Mo Wen was startled by Ling Ran's voice and immediately stood up and looked over with a smile.

Like ordinary people, this girl would talk back to her elders and act so confidently.

"Why are you standing there? Why don't you help me with my luggage?"

"Don't ask, I'll leave it to you to take care of Ranran."

Ling Ran and grandma said in unison again.

Of course Mo Wen smiled and nodded in agreement.

After a few words, Mo Wen's future life was decided. After all, Ling Ran was in his junior year and would be going out for an internship soon. It was not worry-free to be alone outside, so grandma decided to let Ling Ran rent a house and take Mo Wen with him.

Although Ling Ran seemed disgusted on the surface, he was actually very happy in his heart.

It's not good to keep Mo Wen at home, and it's even worse to drive Mo Wen away. It's exciting to keep this legendary immortal cultivator who has lived for hundreds of years by my side!

Ling Ran even imagined the scene where Mo Wen would take her to travel around the world after he recovered his strength.

Perhaps Ling Ran herself didn't realize that, like Mo Wen, she also trusted Mo Wen very much and was very dependent on him, it was just so inexplicable.

"Grandma, take good care of yourself at home. I'll bring you something delicious when I come back!"

Walking out of the courtyard, Mo Wen dragged his luggage, and Ling Ran waved his hand generously, suppressing his reluctance.

Grandma was standing under the eaves, smiling and nodding.

Parting is always sad, Mo Wen didn’t say much.

Following Ling Ran along the winding stone road in the village, many people greeted Ling Ran cheerfully, and Mo Wen also felt familiar with them.

"Grandma is right. The day is going to be warmer."

The two of them didn't talk along the way, but Mo Wen couldn't help but speak first.

"real?"

Ling Ran immediately turned around and stared at Mo Wen in surprise.

"real."

Mo Wen nodded gently, and Ling Ran immediately became excited.

As people of their generation, they have never worn pretty little skirts outside. Such beautiful things are a regret for many girls.

Because of his mood, Ling Ran couldn't help but quicken his pace. Mo Wen was afraid that the suitcase would get dirty on the muddy road, so he simply carried the suitcase and followed closely behind Ling Ran.

Although the true energy in his body has dissipated, his physique and the martial arts moves imprinted in his mind are still remembered. Mo Wen can now be considered an external martial arts master.

It took more than two hours to walk to the town at the foot of the mountain and take the bus to the city.

"When we get to the capital, keep your mouth shut, or you'll get caught and dissected for research."

Sitting in the last row of the bus, Ling Ran glanced around furtively and whispered in Mo Wen's ear.

Mo Wen was shocked and his ears turned red. He endured the dizziness and nodded like a chicken pecking at rice.

Ling Ran also realized the intimacy between the two. He immediately sat up straight and looked out the window, acting as if nothing had happened.

Although Mo Wen has lived for hundreds of years, his mentality is still that of a young man in his twenties!

As the capital of Shenzhou District, Beijing is one of the most prominent cities in Kyushu Continent. The closer you get to the city, the more prosperous it becomes, and Mo Wen's heart becomes more and more restless.

Far away from the tranquility of the countryside and the closeness of the mountains, Mo Wen stole a glance at Ling Ran who was sleeping against the window and smiled again.

It has to be said that there is a reason why Ling Ran is pestered by Wang Xiaoming.

At least from the time he came out of the station and then successfully walked to the rental house near Beijing University, Mo Wen had not seen any girl who could compare to Ling Ran in this bustling city.

Those who look similar to her don’t have her temperament, and those who have more temperament than her are not as pretty as her!

Anyway, Mo Wen felt that Ling Ran should be considered the most beautiful girl in Beijing.

"Mo Wen, I'm going to school. You can study online and find a job to support yourself."

After taking a look around the rental house, Ling Ran picked up his suitcase and prepared to go out.

Although Mo Wen was very puzzled, he still did not ask, but just looked at Ling Ran in confusion.

"A single man and a single woman!"

"Don't tell grandma. Don't worry, I will come to see you from time to time."

Ling Ran kept waving his hands, not giving Mo Wen any chance to speak, and slipped away.

After running down from the eighth floor in one breath, Ling Ran patted his chest with a red face and gasped.

No matter how curious she was, she didn't dare live with Mo Wen now. The scene in the car was too profound!

God knows if she will fall for Mo Wen if she stays with him for a while longer?

Although she was curious, she didn't want to enter the grave of love for the time being.

Mo Wen didn't care about all this. It was good to be alone. At least he didn't have to hide anything when practicing.

Besides, Ling Ran also said that she would come over from time to time.
