☆7. Chapter 7 Stone

Chapter 7 Stone

Leisurely time always passes so quickly.

"Will tomorrow be better?"

Mo Wen murmured as he looked at the setting sun.

After a thousand years, I now have my own little nest here. Although it is not as luxurious as it was back then, it is much warmer.

From the time Ling Ran left until now, Mo Wen had spent the entire day personally tidying up every corner of the rental house, and he quite enjoyed the process.

Mo Wen's physique was much stronger than that of a normal person, but after losing his true energy, he was just an ordinary person. After this, he collapsed on the sofa due to exhaustion.

The rental house is generally pure white in layout. Fortunately, Ling Ran is relatively poor, so the various furniture and appliances are just traditional power-consuming items, which is just enough for Mo Wen to master. Otherwise, he really wouldn't be able to figure out the way.

“Has the iceberg outside the circle melted?”

"It looks like the environment is returning to normal."

Watching the federal news on TV, Mo Wen couldn't help but smile gently.

He remembered that Ling Ran had said more than once that she could wear pretty little skirts when the weather got warmer. Mo Wen couldn't help but feel a little excited.

“Bang, bang, bang!”

There was a knock on the door, Mo Wen was startled, then his smile became even more gentle.

Ling Ran came, and only Ling Ran knew about this place.

Mo Wen immediately stood up and opened the door from the inside. However, when he saw the unfamiliar girl Wu Linglong, the stars in Mo Wen's eyes instantly disappeared. With a stern face, he made way for Ling Ran to come in.

"Xiao Ran, is this the weirdo you mentioned?"

As if invaded by the coldness from Mo Wen's body, Wu Linglong trembled all over, tightly grasped Ling Ran's arm and asked in a low voice.

"Well, Mo Wen, this is my best friend, Wu Linglong, you can just call her Linglong."

Sitting on the sofa, Ling Ran pointed at Mo Wen pretending to be indifferent, then pointed at Wu Linglong and introduced her, then lowered his head and did not dare to look at Mo Wen.

"Um."

Mo Wen responded indifferently, then carefully closed the door and slowly walked towards the kitchen.

Wu Linglong meticulously looked at the person who caught Ling Ran's attention, while Ling Ran secretly glanced at Mo Wen.

Mo Wen's movements seemed slower than those of ordinary people, yet so harmonious. He was as elegant as an aristocrat, and as slow and meticulous as a superior who controlled everything.

It's leisurely and gives people a feeling of enjoyment.

"Have a cup of tea to warm yourself up."

Placing two cups of tea on the coffee table, Mo Wen smiled and looked at Ling Ran and said softly.

“Ah, oh!”

Ling Ran was startled and quickly took off his mask. Then he held the tea in both hands, blew it into the quilt, and drank it in big gulps.

It was Wu Linglong, on the other hand, whose two eyes that were exposed kept flashing.

She couldn't see through Mo Wen at all. How could this guy, who looked ordinary in today's world but made people feel extraordinary, make Ling Ran lose his composure?

"Mo Wen, aren't you cold?"

Wu Linglong couldn't help but ask.

She and Ling Ran were wrapped up tightly, fearing that the slightest bit of cold air would touch their skin. As for Mo Wen, although he was in the room, he was wearing casual clothes that had been eliminated by the times, and most importantly, he wore short sleeves!

"oh oh."

Mo Wen obviously misunderstood Wu Linglong's meaning. He glanced at the two women's equipment, nodded like a chicken pecking at rice, hurriedly turned on the heater in the rental house, and then stood aside with his hands behind his back.

The atmosphere was a bit awkward. Ling Ran lowered his head like an ostrich. Wu Linglong's curiosity was clearly visible in his eyes. However, Mo Wen still stared at Ling Ran with a smile and tenderness.

Ling Ran said she would come, and she really came. For Mo Wen, this was a surprise.

Being born as an immortal cultivator means going against the will of heaven. Originally, he did not believe in the mysterious fate at all. But when he saw Ling Ran, he felt an invisible line connecting him and Ling Ran. He knew that Ling Ran was his calamity.

Perhaps the heating had finally taken effect, or perhaps Ling Ran could no longer pretend it didn't exist.

When Wu Linglong took off her cotton coat, Ling Ran also slowly took off his clothes.

The two girls' arms, which had not seen the sun for a long time, looked extremely white and pure, like those of newborn babies, but Ling Ran's face showed a slight blush.

"Mo Wen, you standing here makes us feel awkward."

Unable to bear it any longer, Wu Linglong glared at Mo Wen and said.

The latter was suddenly at a loss. He looked at Ling Ran deeply, and when he saw that Ling Ran had no intention of speaking, he retreated back to the bedroom.

"Xiao Ran, is this Mo Wen always so weird?"

After seeing Mo Wen's bedroom door closed with her own eyes, Wu Linglong hurriedly moved closer to Ling Ran and asked curiously.

Ling Ran also quietly raised his head, took a look, and replied in a low voice, "He should be timid."

"Shy? You're such a grown man."

Wu Linglong said disdainfully, and then said, "Is that guy a monster? Isn't he afraid of radiation and cold?"

"It should be because of his unusual physique."

Ling Ran said tentatively again.

How dare she tell Wu Linglong that Mo Wen was a survivor of ancient China who had slept for a thousand years and was completely unfamiliar with current life and society!

What's more, Mo Wen admitted that the current coldness seemed to be caused by him, so how could he be afraid of the cold!

"What a weirdo."

Wu Linglong looked at the closed door again and shook her head helplessly, then instantly realized, "Didn't you say he should know what was written on the stone?"

"But didn't you just let him in..."

Ling Ran felt somewhat helpless.

"I'm really impressed by you!"

Wu Linglong was so disappointed that she shouted at the top of her voice, "Mo Wen, come out!"

“Crunch.”

As soon as Wu Linglong's voice fell, Mo Wen opened the door and walked out, making people wonder if he had been squatting behind the door waiting to be called.

"Mo Wen, do you recognize this?"

When Mo Wen approached, Ling Ran timidly handed the stone over.

"Um?"

Mo Wen was about to explain, but was stunned again.

These are not ordinary ancient Chinese characters, but rather words of communication used exclusively by immortal cultivators. Moreover, the moment he took the stone in his hand, Mo Wen felt that his true energy, which had lost connection, had loosened a little.

In just a short while, the originally crystal clear stone lost its luster in Mo Wen's hands and finally turned into powder.

"Don't ask!"

Seeing Mo Wen stunned and seeing something unexpected happen to the stone, Ling Ran shouted hurriedly.

"I'm sorry, I can't tell you."

Mo Wen finally came back to his senses and said calmly, shaking his head.

After just a few breaths, Mo Wen roughly understood what was going on and couldn't help but frown.

This stone stores a small amount of true energy, and other people would not be able to communicate with it at all.

"Are there any other survivors?"

Mo Wen thought.

"It's okay. It's okay."

Since Mo Wen didn't say anything, Ling Ran could understand and waved his hand hurriedly.

"You broke Xiaoran's things, how can you have this attitude!"

Wu Linglong, who was already very curious, knew that Mo Wen must know something, so she stood up, put her hands on her hips and said dissatisfiedly.
