Chapter Summary: Are you sure you want to play dumb with me?
Of course, Yao Ye would never dare to tell her parents about her happy "cohabitation life".
While enjoying the beautiful scenery of their motherland, Yao's parents send WeChat messages every day to check on their daughter's well-being while she's "home alone." Naturally, the elderly couple are worried about their carefree youngest daughter.
That evening, Yao Ye was nestled comfortably in Li Fengjian's arms, replying to her mother's WeChat messages on her phone.
"Mom, I'm fine... Well, I haven't been working overtime as much these past few days, so I haven't been sleeping too late... The door is locked, and the gas is off, so don't worry... Yao Ye quickly wrapped herself up in her coat, then opened the door and rushed downstairs. She ran all the way to the entrance of the residential complex before finally managing to answer her mother's video call.
"Mom..." she smiled at her mother, secretly confirming that the camera only captured her upper body wrapped in a coat.
Mrs. Yao was taken aback. "Why are we still on the street? Didn't you say you were in bed?"
"Oh dear, I'm actually working overtime again, and I'm still on my way home. I just lied and said I was resting at home so you wouldn't worry about my health. Actually, I've been working a lot lately, and I'm working overtime every day. I'm so pitiful." She deliberately sounded aggrieved.
"Then I'll stop talking now, you should go home!" Yao's mother said, hanging up the video call.
Yao Ye breathed a sigh of relief. Seeing Li Fengjian chasing after her, she gave him a triumphant "V" sign. "Hehe, wasn't my reaction quick enough!"
Li Fengjian was both amused and exasperated. "Are you sure the video only showed your upper body?"
"I'm sure!" Yao Ye said triumphantly, patting her lower body, which was covered in pajama bottoms. "There's definitely nothing here!"
Her smug expression was, in Li Fengjian's eyes, utterly adorable. He stepped forward and took her hand. "Let's go home."

Then, Yao Ye, who thought she had acted perfectly and flawlessly, discovered the next day that she had actually been exposed.
The next afternoon, Yao Ye was busy at the company when she noticed a WeChat message from her sister Yao Qin on her phone.
"I bought too much fruit in the group purchase, so I'll forward some to you and change the address. I'll send it now, and it'll arrive tonight. Remember to eat it and let me know if it's sweet."
"Yay, sister is so nice!" she replied, and then went off to work with Yu Fei and the others.
After busying herself for a while, Liu Liu suddenly remembered: "Hey? My sister wants to send fruit home, so does that mean I'll have to make a special trip home tonight to pick it up? Or should I just have Li Fengjian drive over and bring the fruit back?"
Just as he was pondering this, the phone on the table rang. By sheer coincidence, it was Li Fengjian calling.
“Hello,” she answered, “I was just about to tell you. My sister sent a box of fruit to my house. Why don’t you drive over and pick it up after you close your shop?”
"Hmm..." Li Fengjian chuckled softly, "Actually, I was just about to tell you that Yao Qin came down from the fifth floor to find me and asked for my home address. She said she was in a hurry to change her address, but you didn't reply to her, so she had to run downstairs to ask me."
Yao Ye was taken aback, then exclaimed in shock, "How did you know I've been staying at your house lately, sister?"
She quickly hung up the phone and indeed saw the message Yao Qin had left for her.
Give me the address.
"Where is he/she? I need to change my address urgently."
She took a deep breath and called Yao Qin, "Sister, I was called to do something just now, and I didn't notice my phone on the table."
Yao Qin replied, "It's okay, I've already asked Li Fengjian, and the address has been changed."
