The next day, a triumphant Li Fengjian returned to Belle to open his shop. He saw Xiao Dong carrying a pile of ingredients; rummaging through them, he found coffee and wasabi.
He was full of confidence. "Boss, I was missing a few ingredients when I made the Heartbreak Tea before, so it wasn't strong enough. I bought them all today. I'll make you an upgraded version later!"
After saying that, he even pulled out a bottle of Lao Gan Ma chili sauce from the pile of materials, which startled Li Fengjian, who waved his hands repeatedly and said, "No, no need... Xiao Dong, you must not put this on the shelves when you open your own shop, or you will easily be sued."

So Li Fengjian gently took out the ring and solemnly put it on her finger.
Yao Ye felt a heavy weight pressing down on her ring finger and sniffed hard. "Do you know what I was thinking just now?"

We've gone through draft after draft of the plan, from dreamy pastoral styles to urban romance, and even a space fantasy theme where the male and female leads, wielding lightsabers, are locked in a love-hate relationship at the edge of the universe. The male lead's lightsaber cuts down a star from above, which lands on the female lead's finger and transforms into a diamond ring (close-up of the logo here), followed by the male lead's heartfelt confession.
"There are millions of stars in the universe, but I only want to keep you."
How romantic and magnificent this scene would be if captured on film!
But the client rejected it without question, saying, "These special effects would cost a fortune to film!"
So, based on the client's requirements (and budget), we finally found a location to take wedding photos, found a handsome couple, and started shooting.
The female model was beautiful, but her expression was stiff. They filmed more than ten takes just to capture the surprised expression after receiving the engagement ring.
"No, that expression doesn't look like you've received a diamond ring, it looks like you've received a wanted poster! It's too terrifying. You have to smile!"
"This laugh is too exaggerated. It makes me wonder if the girl is up to something, like trying to scam me into marriage or insurance fraud. You need to tone it down."
"...I did say I was going to laugh, but I was going to restrain myself from laughing...but why did this scene look like a forced smile?"

Li Fengjian chuckled and reached out to brush a stray hair from her forehead. "You know how unreliable you are, even being late for your best friend's wedding."
“I swear I calculated the time beforehand. Leaving two and a half hours early from the venue should have been more than enough! But man proposes, God disposes. First, Yu Fei took the wrong route and drove further and further away, then her car broke down on a deserted side street. I'm already thankful I made it this far.” Yao Ye said, leaning wearily against him with a sigh, then asked, “By the way, weren’t you helping out here since the afternoon? How’s it going?”

"Yes, before the ceremony, to create a lively atmosphere, the groomsmen sang a song together, while the bridesmaids danced a girl group dance. A few random thoughts~~ This story ended quickly, a short and sweet piece, but I personally really liked the male and female leads. Thinking about it, a story as long as "Just Want to Talk About Everyday Life with You" would have been a real challenge for me; my comfort zone is probably around 100,000 words. Oh, and of course, I'll try to write a longer one next time. See you tomorrow for the finale~~
