When the butler arrived at Zhao Dayong's house, Li recognized him; she knew he was Zhao Dashu's butler. She just didn't understand why he was at their house.
"you?"
"Second Madam, I've come to see Young Master Erzhuzi."
Guo came out upon hearing the noise. Xiaoyu hadn't lied to her; it turned out that her third uncle's family had come.
"Hello, are you looking for me to take charge?"
"Yes, young mistress. Has young master Erzhuzi finished his work? Is it alright if I take him to the county town tomorrow?"
“Yes, yes, he’s very free right now,” Guo readily agreed.
Erzhuzi came out upon hearing the sound, "Butler?"
"Young master, why don't you pack your things today? Someone will take you to the county town tomorrow, is that alright?"
A job has arrived?
"Okay, okay, when do you come tomorrow? I'll make preparations earlier."
"It is feasible during the Chen hour (7-9 AM)."
Erzhuzi nodded repeatedly, "No problem, no problem."
Even after the person left, the couple remained standing excitedly at the door.
"Erzhuzi, what exactly happened?"
Li was puzzled. Why was the steward of the third son's family taking Erzhuzi to the county town?
"Mother, my third uncle found me a job at his shop. I'm going to the county town tomorrow. From now on, only my wife and children will be at home. Please don't bother them."
Li was furious. That bastard hadn't even left yet, and he was already telling her not to bully his wife? Was she a wicked mother-in-law? When had she ever bullied his wife? Would she dare?

"You?!" Li pointed at her unfilial son's nose, too angry to utter a single word.
I was going to ask what kind of work it was, but now I don't want to ask or say a word. Let them do whatever they want.
She knew without asking that her son's stubborn and unyielding nature would never win over the third son, and he would never get the job.
So this job was arranged by the Guo family. Their flattery of the Song family and Xiaoyu hadn't been in vain; they'd gotten some benefits in return.
Li gave Guo a deep look. Pan had tried to please the third son's family before but failed. Later, when they tried to please their mother-in-law, it seemed to be a waste of time and they gained nothing.
Now, it's unbelievable that the second son's wife managed to do what the eldest son's wife couldn't, but why isn't she happy at all?
Because she did it secretly behind my back, without even consulting me. Now that my second son is going to work in the county town, there's no one left to rely on for chores at home.
But it's a good thing that my second son can go to work in the county town; at least he has a stable income. Having a stable job in the city is better than farming.
She and her husband can finally relax a bit, since they have someone to help them out at home.
"Second brother, why did your third uncle send you into the city?"
"I don't know, I didn't ask."
Li really wanted to call him a fool. What could this guy possibly do in the city? If the eldest son were healthy, he would be more suited to working in the county town.
The second son is too stupid and has no sense of propriety at all. What can he possibly accomplish?
Zhao Dayong remained silent, his mind filled with complex emotions. He couldn't understand why his second son's wife was more capable than his eldest son's wife.
