****Dunkirk-class battlecruiser****
The Dunkerque-class battlecruisers were equipped with eight 330mm guns and sixteen 130mm secondary guns. They had a full-load displacement of [number] tons, a main engine power of [number] horsepower, a maximum speed of 30-31 knots, and a range of 7,850 nautical miles at 15 knots.
Two Dunkerque-class battlecruisers were built: HMS Dunkerque and HMS Strasbourg.
Construction of the Dunkirk began in December 1931 and was completed in April 1937.
Construction of the Strasbourg began in November 1934 and was completed in December 1938. After Vichy France's defeat in World War II, the British Empire launched an attack on the Vichy French fleet to prevent it from being used by the Axis powers.
In July 1940, the Dunkirk was severely damaged by the British Navy and ran aground in port, while the Strasbourg escaped the attack and fled to Toulon, Vichy France. After being repaired, the Dunkirk returned to Toulon in February 1941.
On November 27, 1942, the battleships Dunkerque and Strasbourg were scuttled and grounded in Toulon harbor to avoid capture by the Han occupation forces, and were later damaged by bombing.
Both ships were dismantled and scrapped after World War II.
