June 23, 1941, morning.
Hanoi Gia Lam Airport.
Rows of aircraft slowly taxied out of the hangar onto the tarmac, and then airport staff began refueling and loading the fighter jets with ammunition.
Colonel Yukishi Matsubara, commander of the 37th Fighter Wing, looked at the densely packed fighter planes and a faint smile appeared on his lips.
This time, when they came to Indochina, the Imperial General Headquarters specially increased the number of fighter planes in their wing from 218 to 378. Combined with the existing air force in Hanoi and the French air force, he could command more than 500 fighter planes of various types!

(10) [Qinghua Longshan Airport] Gallic Rooster Reconnaissance Group, 60 Potai Po.637A3 reconnaissance aircraft.
This configuration is comparable to that of a Class A flight division.
The Empire concealed the strength of their regiment because Yamashita Tomoyuki wanted to completely control the strategic depth of Hanoi and eliminate the People's Alliance Army.
Catch them off guard!
"Order—105th Reconnaissance Squadron and Gallic Rooster Reconnaissance Battalion, depart immediately and search for the location of the main force of the National League Army in a fan shape."
Colonel Yukishi Matsubara gave orders to the communications officer beside him.
"Hi, Colonel Matsubara."
The communications soldier immediately responded and then left.
Shortly after, 18 Ki-51/Type 99 military reconnaissance aircraft took off from the airport runway.
At 2 p.m., telegrams were sent to the 37th Flight Wing command at Gialink Airport.
"Colonel Matsubara, the reconnaissance squadron just reported that there is a Namgu Airport near Dien Bien Phu, which seems to have hundreds of F-series trainer aircraft parked there."
Everyone knows that the National League for Democracy's army has training aircraft.
Although there are hundreds of them, they are all outdated F-series C.690M and H.232 trainer aircraft.
"Yoshi, Commander Yamashita's plan has succeeded."
Colonel Matsubara Yukishi finished reading the latest situation report and nodded in satisfaction. "Record it."
"Hi."
The communications soldier took notes.
"Order - The 62nd Light Explosives Battalion and the 63rd Combat Battalion shall proceed to the Yen Bai, Qingshan, and Mok Chau line to attack the NLD Army positions in the eastern part of Son La Province, with a focus on bombing Son La City."
"Order—64th Combat Battalion and 66th Heavy Bombardment Battalion to bomb Dien Bien Phu."
"Order—65th Combat Battalion and 67th Heavy Bombardment Battalion to bomb Laizhou City."
"Order - Longshan 5th Mixed Battalion and Gallic Rooster Mixed Battalion bomb Nankou Airport."
"Recording complete."
The communications soldier quickly wrote down the order and handed it to Matsubara Yukishi.
Matsubara Yukishi glanced at it, quickly signed the order, and handed it to the communications officer.
"Execute immediately."
"Hai." The communications officer acknowledged the order and left.
Watching the communications soldier leave the office, Matsubara Yukishi revealed a sinister and terrifying smile. "National League Army, your death is nigh."
Half an hour later, more than 500 fighter jets of various types took off one after another and then spread out in the sky.
A dark mass of people, enough to terrify any Vietnamese.
...
3:41 p.m.
Forest north of Phu An, Son La Province.
The 7th Armored Division had nearly 800 tanks of various types hidden in the forest.
Each tank was covered with tree branches and had a makeshift shelter erected on it.
Unless you fly low and look closely, it's extremely difficult to tell that so many tanks are hidden in the forest.
At this moment, Wang Zhiguo, commander of the 7th Armored Division, Xie Menghua, political commissar, and several Vietnamese were discussing the next battle plan.
Suddenly, a whistling sound came from the sky.
Upon hearing the noise, Wang Zhiguo and the others quickly took out their binoculars to observe, and discovered that countless black dots were flashing in the distant sky.
"It's a Japanese plane."
Political Commissar Xie Menghua put down his binoculars and said.
"Hmm." Wang Zhiguo nodded. "Judging by the number, there are at least a hundred. The Japanese have really gone all out this time."
"Should we send a telegram to headquarters to remind them?"
"Need not."
"Before we set off, Commander Zhang said that all our troops must maintain radio silence. If the 2nd Infantry Division on the front line does not send a signal, we cannot turn on the radio."
Xie Menghua frowned slightly, but said nothing.
