Chapter 150 Royal Thai Army

In this operation against Laos, the National League for Democracy (NLD) will deploy a total of two armies.

The 3rd Army stationed in Son La Province and the 11th Army stationed in Nghe An Province.

The next morning, Vietnam's national news radio suddenly broadcast a major news story—

**Declaration of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Democratic Alliance of North Vietnam**

Dear compatriots, international friends, and people around the world who care about peace and justice:

With immense excitement and pride, we solemnly announce to the world that, at the sincere invitation of Comrade Kaysone Phong Vihan of the Lao Lhasa Vong Guerrilla Force, the Democratic Alliance of North Vietnam has decided to assist the Lao people in their struggle for a free, independent, and happy new life.

Over the years, we have witnessed the Lao people, under the leadership of Comrade Kaysone Phomvihane, bravely fighting and sacrificing themselves for their own liberation.

However, they face numerous difficulties and relentless oppression. As their close and steadfast friends, we cannot stand idly by.

We are keenly aware that a peaceful, stable and prosperous new Laos is not only what the Lao people earnestly hope for, but also an important cornerstone for regional and even global peace and development.

Therefore, at the invitation of Comrade Kaysone Phong Vihan, the Democratic Alliance of Vietnam has decided to provide all necessary assistance to help the Lao people escape oppression as soon as possible and achieve true national independence and social freedom. Our assistance includes not only military support, but also political, economic, and cultural support, to ensure that the new regime can be quickly established and steadily move towards prosperity after the victory in the War of Liberation.

Our actions are just and part of the fight for fairness and dignity for all humanity. We call on the international community to pay close attention to and actively support this just cause, jointly promote lasting peace and stability in Southeast Asia, and make new contributions to world peace.

Finally, we pay our highest respects to all those who have fought for this cause, and call on all peace lovers and freedom enthusiasts to unite and work together to achieve this great feat and create a glorious future!

**Ministry of the Democratic Alliance of Vietnam (North Korea)**

**Date: September 25, 1941**

This news caused an uproar both at home and abroad.

Without exception, not a single country supported the decision of the Democratic Alliance of Vietnam; all condemned it.

The United States, in particular, has been clamoring for the Democratic League of Vietnam to cease its acts of aggression and to compensate them for their losses.

The Vietnamese government has ignored the US's accusations.

Anyway, it's still the same old story: Come on, if you're not happy, then let's fight!

Lin Feng wasn't idle either. In order to get the troops equipped with D-series equipment as quickly as possible, he ran 13 kilometers every day and stayed in the prisoner-of-war camp.

Facing a garrison that posed little threat, the National League for Democracy (NLD) forces from North Vietnam encountered almost no resistance and swept through Laos.

On September 26, 1941, the 9th Armored Division of the 3rd Army captured San Nu, Xiangmen, and Mengban, and advanced towards Vientiane Province.

The 10th Mechanized Infantry Division captured Muang Phat, Bantave, and Sokha, and advanced toward the Luang Prabang region.

The 11th Mechanized Infantry Division captured Ban Hoi Din, Meng Ben, and Meng Na, and advanced toward Xieng Khouang Province.

The 33rd Mechanized Infantry Division of the 11th Army captured Bannasong, Bansosai, and Bansosai.

The 34th and 35th Mechanized Infantry Divisions advanced southward.

Between September 27 and October 5, 1941.

The National League for Democracy (NLD) of North Vietnam swiftly liberated two-thirds of Laos' territory, but unexpectedly, a sixth brother suddenly appeared.

"Keep running!"

"come on--!!"

"Tonight we're having meat! Barbecue! And touching stockings!!"

On the parade ground of the Laizhou POW camp, Lin Feng and his precious children were running enthusiastically.

Lin Feng has been exercising persistently for many days. Although he is very tired, he feels full of energy.

After all, the system rewards are there, so why not take them?

At this moment, Zhang Jianping, the press representative of the China Democratic League, rushed over in a panic, "Chairman, something terrible has happened!"

Seeing Zhang Jianping's anxious expression, Lin Feng stopped and gestured for all the Hansmen to retreat.

"Heh..." Lin Feng chuckled twice, a mocking look appearing on his face. "Could it be that the US is once again stirring up public opinion in the international community, trying to start a war against us?"

Lin Feng knew that something big must have happened, otherwise Zhang Jianping wouldn't be in such a hurry.

“No!” Zhang Jianping shook his head. “There’s a sixth brother who’s stealing territory.”

"Sixth brother?"

Upon hearing this name, Lin Feng narrowed his eyes. "Could it be Hu Zhiming and Liang Minghua's group again? They're always causing trouble for no reason, forming an anti-Vietnam organization, thinking they can really compete with us."

No, not exactly.

As Zhang Jianping spoke, he took a document out of his pocket and handed it to Lin Feng, saying, "It's from a Thai person."

Thai?

Lin Feng took it and saw that it was from the Thais, who claimed that the French had invaded their territory.

They stole several provinces from Laos, such as Bokeo and Vientiane in the west, as well as Pakse in the south bordering Cambodia, and even occupied large swathes of southwestern Cambodian territory.

Lin Feng recalls that the Franco-Thailand War took place from January 1940 to May 1941.

The Franco-Thai War broke out between Thailand and France over a dispute over ownership of certain territories in French Indochina that originally belonged to Thailand.

The conflict ended with the Thai people viewing the war as a personal victory for Thai Prime Minister Luang Por Boon Somkham.

Because the Japanese were driven out, Thailand is not currently part of the Axis powers; it can only be considered an independence movement.

But Lin Feng was aware of Luang Bowen Songkhram's ulterior motives.

"The Great Thai Federation?"

A playful smile appeared on Lin Feng's lips.

"Chairman, the 3rd Army, the 11th Army, and Lao General Kaysone Phomvihane are waiting for your reply: will you go to war directly, or take a more peaceful approach?" Zhang Jianping asked.

Lin Feng frowned in thought, and after a moment slowly said, "How many troops does Thailand have? Have you found out?"

Zhang Jianping nodded. "According to the latest information we have received, the Royal Thai Army currently has 600,000 troops in 5 corps, the largest of which is the Brahmaa Corps, which has 5 divisions."

"It also includes two mechanized cavalry brigades, an artillery battalion, a signal battalion, an engineer battalion, and an armored regiment, all under independent command."

"In addition, the Royal Thai Navy and Air Force are far inferior to mine, although they still have dozens of ships and hundreds of aircraft."

Upon hearing the figure of 600,000 troops, Lin Feng pondered for a long time before making a decision: "Take a more moderate approach. Incorporate them if possible. Tell Zhang Xiaowu to order all troops to reclaim the areas in Laos that can be reclaimed and establish a country first."

Zhang Jianping replied, "Yes, Chairman."

"Furthermore, in order to prevent the failure of the incorporation and the outbreak of a full-scale war with Thailand, we should first head south, wipe out the anti-Vietnam organization, and liberate Cambodia."

"Yes, I'll take care of it right away."
