November 3, 1941.
The Allied observer mission entered Laos from Burma, the former British colony. It was represented by Marquis Victor Hope, Governor-General of India, and General Archibald Wavell, Supreme Commander of India. The mission was accompanied by journalists, translators, and several agents. Its scale was unprecedented.
The Axis observer group was much more casual, consisting of only a handful of people besides the ambassador to Japan, Thomas Schulz, and Major Jonathan Briat, who was in charge of security. The level of the group was shockingly low.
Upon entry, both observer groups will be protected by the National League for Democracy (NLD) forces, who will escort them safely to the meeting venue – Haiphong.
On the evening of November 5, 1941.
The Axis observer group arrived at its destination first.
Evening, Haiphong City.
Night falls.
The sea breeze, carrying a damp scent, rustled against the rocks on the shore, creating layers of waves.
Accompanied by Chen Sanyuan, Mas Schulz arrived at a villa by the sea.
In the spacious and bright living room, there was an oval table. There were no reporters, only Lin Feng, Mas Schulz, and two translators.
The table was laden with delicious food.
"Mr. Schultz, please have a seat," Lin Feng said.
Mas Schulz sat down, picked up his glass of red wine, and took a sip.
Lin Feng also picked up a glass of red wine and took only a small sip.
“Mr. Schultz, if I hadn’t wanted to talk to the Third Reich of the Hans, your transport plane would probably have been shot down by our National League Air Force long ago.”
Lin Feng gave a half-smile.
Mas Schulz's expression changed slightly, but he quickly regained his composure. "President Lin, there's something I've never understood. We don't care if you declare war on Japan, but why are you declaring war on Hans? We're in Europe, and we don't have any conflict of interest."
Lin Feng certainly wouldn't tell him that this was all for obtaining system resources.
"You're right, there's no conflict of interest between our two countries. But if I didn't declare war on you, you wouldn't have sent an observer mission here, would you?"
Mas Schulz was speechless for a moment, a bitter feeling settling over him.
Lin Feng's answer was far-fetched, but it was also quite practical.
Indeed, a country without strong military strength and war potential would not bother sending an observation mission.
Their sending of an observation team illustrates the problem.
Their purpose in coming here was to resolve the animosity between the two sides through exchanges, so that the two countries could put aside their past grievances and shake hands in reconciliation.
However, Lin Feng was clearly unwilling to break the declaration of war treaty, and even less willing to accept Hans's olive branch.
"Mr. Schulz, let me be frank. First, we will not tear up the declaration of war treaty and shake hands with you to make peace. Second, we will not join the Axis powers, because our enemy is Japan. I will not sleep soundly until Japan is destroyed."
Lin Feng put down his wine glass and looked out the window: "Now you should understand, right?"
Mas Schulz silently took a sip of red wine, his composure gradually turning into anger. "President Lin! Are you determined to be an enemy of our Hans Empire?! Once the Führer has eliminated the Russian bear and landed on the British Isles, we won't hesitate to send a large force to the Southeast Peninsula."
"Threatening me?"
Lin Feng gave a cold laugh and turned to look at Mas Schulz, "Do you even have the capability to come? Your main forces in the east are all bogged down in the Battle of Moscow. Don't you have any idea how much you've lost?"
"Moreover, as the weather gets colder, your tanks and fighter jets have lost their advantage. Can't you see that the Russians have already withstood your attack? Your so-called Barbarossa plan has completely failed."
"And... to the west, you keep saying that you won't set foot on the mainland on the day of the landing, but did you actually land? You know very well how much air force Göring suffered."
? ? ? ? ?
Mas Schulz was dumbfounded.
How do you know all this?
"How do you know the secrets of our empire???"
Lin Feng found Mas Schultz's reaction quite amusing.
Lin Feng curled the corners of his mouth and shook his head. "I don't need to tell you, because your Hans Empire is destined to fail, and your current situation is terrible."
"The army is dwindling, and the production of various types of arsenals has been severely slowed by Allied bombing. I'm afraid it won't be long before you can't supply enough fighter jets and tanks to the front."
"If I remember correctly, Alfred Krupp, the head of Krupp, was a Jew, wasn't he?"
Mas Schulz paused, a look of surprise crossing his face. "What do you want to do?"
"Don't be nervous, I'm just reminding you."
Lin Feng said with a smile, "Since you're massacring Jewish people, why did you let Alfred Krupp go? Obviously, there's something wrong with this Alfred Krupp. He doesn't want to produce enough weapons and equipment for you; he just wants to see you fail."
"You should know that the Jewish people control the parliament of the United States and also the Congress of the United States. It's only a matter of time before the United States joins the war. When that happens... the Hans Empire will be surrounded by enemies and is destined to fail."
"hehe."
"impossible!"
Mas Schulz categorically rejected Lin Feng's deduction, "Chairman Alfred Krupp is a confidant of our leader! He could not possibly betray us!"
Lin Feng shrugged. "Believe it or not."
"snort!"
Mas Schulz snorted coldly, "President Lin, I advise you, you'd better not provoke us. The army of our Hans Empire is invincible."
