"Enough!"
Suddenly, a cold, low shout came from outside the Hirohito Gate, and all the ministers turned around to look.
Hirohito, dressed in a white suit, strode in with his long, straight legs.
"His Majesty!"
"His Majesty the Emperor!"
"Your Highness Hirohito!"
Everyone stood up and bowed.
Upon seeing Hirohito enter, Tojo Umezu put on a smile and went forward to help him up.
Hirohito, however, coldly avoided the conversation and walked straight toward Hirose Yutaka, who was sitting to the left.
He walked to Hirose Yutaka's side, his superior gaze sweeping over the officials present, and coldly asked, "The Empire is in such a state?! And you still have the nerve to argue here???"
Everyone fell silent, terrified.
"Your Majesty! Your Majesty! If you just sign your name, our empire will be saved!!"
Tojo Ume pleaded desperately with Hirohito.
Hirohito took a deep breath, trying to suppress his anger.
He closed his eyes, forcing himself to calm down.
After a long pause, he reopened his eyes and said to Tojo Umedo, "Tojo-kun, you said the Empire could win, you said we were invincible, and what happened? A small civilian alliance you so vehemently proclaimed could annihilate our navy! And cause hundreds of thousands of our Imperial soldiers and millions of civilians to bleed and sacrifice their lives!!!"
He became more and more agitated as he spoke, and the veins on his forehead bulged.
How dare you stand here?!
With that, Hirohito suddenly swung his arm and punched Tojo Umedo in the face. "Why didn't you commit seppuku?!?! Ah!!! You, the Prime Minister of the Empire, don't even dare to commit suicide!! You don't deserve to be a man!!!"
Hearing Hirohito's roar, Tojo Ume covered her aching mouth, tears streaming down her face.
