"Don't worry about it, leave it to me. Just come home with me and don't overthink it."
Mu Yunjin said with a smile.
Su Ziai nodded and said:
"All right."
Mu Yunjin drove Su Ziai to the Mu family home.
Su Ziai got out of the car, looked up at the magnificent house, and couldn't help but sigh.
They really are rich.
Su Ziai walked up the steps and rang the doorbell.
"Coming, coming! Open the door right now!"
A middle-aged woman's voice came from inside the door.
"Mommy's here!"
Su Ziai responded, and then saw a middle-aged woman come out from inside.
Su Ziai recognized at a glance that the middle-aged woman was Mu Yunjin's mother.
"Oh, Zi'ai, you're here! Come in quickly, it's chilly outside!"
Mu Yunjin's mother greeted Su Ziai with great enthusiasm.
"Thank you, Auntie."
Su Ziai thanked Mu Yunjin politely and followed her inside.
Mu Yunjin's mother walked in front of Su Ziai and asked:
"Ziai, how's work going lately?"
As Mu Yunjin's mother asked Su Ziai questions, she walked towards the kitchen to prepare a meal.
"It's alright, I'm getting used to it."
Su Ziai smiled.
Mu Yunjin's mother smiled and nodded, saying:
"That's good."
"By the way, Auntie, I'd like to ask for a few days off, is that alright?"
Su Ziai looked at Mu Yunjin's mother and said.
"Sure, but where are you going so late?"
Mu Yunjin's mother looked at Su Ziai with a puzzled expression and asked.
"I'm going to my boyfriend's house for Chinese New Year."
After Su Ziai finished speaking, she added:
"He invited me to his house for dinner, so I thought I'd go back and tell my grandma and grandpa that I needed to take a few days off."
"Boyfriend? When did you get a boyfriend?! I've never heard you mention him before!"
Mu Yunjin's mother looked at Su Ziai and asked.
"Oh, this... I..."
Su Ziai was speechless.
What should she say?
"Are you trying to avoid telling me who your boyfriend is?"
Mu Yunjin's mother smiled and said.
No, it's not.
Su Ziai quickly shook her head.
"Then why don't you want to say it? You're my Mu family's daughter-in-law, my Mu family's granddaughter-in-law, what's there to be ashamed of! I know, you're ashamed, aren't you?"
"Auntie, no, I'm really not shy. I just feel that some things... are better left unsaid to other people."
Su Ziai quickly explained.
Mu Yunjin's mother smiled and said:
"It's alright. If you're embarrassed to say it, then don't! But I want you to remember that you are now Mu Yunjin's wife in name only. No matter how bad Mu Yunjin was in the past, he has changed now. You must remember that! He is your husband now, and he always will be! You must hold on tight!"
Su Ziai stood there, stunned, looking at Mu Yunjin's mother.
The words Mu Yunjin had just said kept replaying in her mind.
Hold on to him tightly.
What does this sentence mean?
When Mu Yunjin said this, her eyes revealed an unusually resolute look.
It seemed to be a warning to her.
Su Ziai lowered her head and gently bit her lip.
She didn't know whether she should investigate why Mu Yunjin had said those things.
Perhaps Mu Yunjin had come to a realization and no longer wanted to hurt her, and wanted her to be happy.
"What's wrong, Zi'ai?"
Seeing Su Ziai suddenly lower her head and remain silent, Mu Yunjin's mother quickly asked.
"It's nothing, Auntie."
Su Ziai raised her head and forced a smile.
Mu Yunjin's mother smiled and said:
"Alright, let's stop worrying about this. Go wash your hands and get ready to eat!"
"kindness."
Su Ziai smiled and nodded.
......
The atmosphere at dinner was very strange.
"Ziai, come on, have some vegetables."
Mu Yunjin's father placed a piece of food in Su Ziai's bowl with his chopsticks and said with concern.
"Thank you, Dad."
Su Ziai smiled at Mu Yunjin's father.
Mu Yunjin's father placed another piece of food in Su Ziai's bowl with his chopsticks, and said with a smile:
"Ziai, eat more! You're so thin, you've got almost no meat on your bones. You need to gain weight so you'll have the strength to give birth later."
"ah?"
Su Ziai was taken aback by what Mu Yunjin's father said.
Mu Yunjin's mother laughed and said:
"Your father is right. You are the only lady of the Mu family, so of course we must take good care of you."
"ah!"
Su Ziai was even more confused, and she looked at Mu Yunjin with a somewhat innocent expression.
Mu Yunjin sat calmly in her seat, not answering Su Ziai, seemingly not wanting to interrupt Su Ziai and her parents' conversation.
"Ahem, you guys chat for a bit, I'll go help in the kitchen, and we'll be eating soon."
Mu Yunjin's mother smiled, stood up, and walked towards the kitchen.
Su Ziai looked toward the kitchen.
Looking at that familiar figure, Su Ziai's eyes gradually welled up with tears.
Her shoulders were trembling violently.
Mu Yunjin, you're finally back.
You're back.
"Ziai, why are you crying!"
