Chapter 357 Returning Home (114)

Upon hearing this, Lin Feng's legs went weak, and he almost fell to the ground.

"Don't worry, the doctor has given him the best treatment, and his condition is gradually improving. We will do everything we can to save him," Lin Wen comforted him.

"Can I see him?" Lin Feng asked.

"I'll arrange it right away." Lin Wen nodded and then dialed Lin Feng's cell phone.

"Hello, is this Lin Feng?" The call connected, and an old voice came through.

"Yes, it is." Lin Feng took a deep breath, trying to calm himself down. "Uncle Lin, how are you now?"

"Sigh, you've really worked hard these past few days, taking care of Xiaoqian for me. It's really been a lot of work for you," Lin Feng said.

"Uncle, please don't say that." Lin Feng hurriedly waved his hand.

He knew in his heart that this was a very troublesome matter. After all, he could not make his relationship with Lin Qian public. Moreover, his identity was very special, and it was not appropriate for him to announce his romantic relationship with Lin Qian.

Lin Qian, on the other hand, has a very simple and kind personality, which is Lin Feng's biggest worry.

"Uncle Lin, I've come to you on behalf of the Lin family," Lin Feng said after a moment of silence. "I wish to ask you to marry Xiaoqian to me."

Upon hearing this, Lin Wen fell silent.

"Uncle Lin, I know you must be in a difficult position," Lin Feng said.

"Lin Feng, I know I didn't handle this properly, but are you aware of the current situation of our Lin family?" Lin Wen asked in a deep voice.

"Uncle, I know all that, but that's not a problem. You just need to agree to one condition," Lin Feng said.

"What are the conditions?" Lin Wen asked.

"I hope Uncle Lin can entrust my younger sister, Lin Qian, to me," Lin Feng said.

"Entrusted to you?" Lin Wen was taken aback: "This..."

"Uncle, I know this is difficult for you, perhaps even a huge risk. I don't want to see Xiaoqian sad; she's very depressed right now, all because of your son. So, I want to condemn him, and then, with my life, bring peace to the Lin family!" Lin Feng said, straightening his posture. "Do you understand?"

"Lin Feng, do you know what you're saying?" Lin Wen asked, frowning.

"I know, I know what I'm saying," Lin Feng said earnestly. "I'm not afraid to sacrifice my life."

Upon hearing Lin Feng's words, Lin Qian's tears instantly fell.

"Foolish child, how could you make such a decision? I disagree!" Lin Wen roared. "You're still young, you have a long road ahead of you, your future is bright, and your prospects are limitless. The future of the Lin family still depends on you to inherit it."

Lin Feng shook his head: "Uncle, you don't understand. My future is beyond my control, but Lin Qian is the only daughter of the Lin family. You know how important Lin Qian is to the Lin family. Now, only I can save the Lin family. I think this is also Mom and Dad's wish, right? If I sacrifice myself, they will have no regrets."

"You..." Lin Wen hesitated for a moment, then finally sighed, "Since you've made your decision, I'll respect it. However, I still have a piece of advice for you: if one day you find out that your sister has been wronged, you'll hate me to death."

"Don't worry, I absolutely won't," Lin Feng said firmly. "I will take good care of Lin Qian. I will protect her for the rest of her life. Anyone who bullies her, I will kill him."

Upon hearing this, Lin Wen's eyes welled up with tears.

"Thank you, Lin Feng," Lin Wen said.

After hanging up the phone, Lin Qian immediately rushed into Lin Feng's arms.

"Brother, thank you," Lin Qian said, crying.

"Xiaoqian, don't thank me. I just wanted to make you happy," Lin Feng said gently with a smile. "Besides, this is something I owe your parents, and it's my responsibility, so I had to do it."

Lin Qian nodded: "Brother, I believe you."

"Alright, let's hurry over there, don't keep Uncle waiting." After saying that, Lin Feng took Lin Qian's hand and rushed towards the ward.

When Lin Feng arrived outside the ward, he saw Lin Qian's mother sitting by the bed, looking anxious.

When Lin Feng's mother saw him arrive, her eyes immediately welled up with tears: "Lin Feng, my child, why are you only coming now?"

"Mom, what's wrong?" Lin Feng asked his mother, puzzled.

"You still dare to say that? You just abandoned Xiaoqian and ran off without a word. If you hadn't come back, I really would have taken Xiaoqian home," Lin's mother said with a mournful face.

Lin's mother was genuinely worried about Lin Qian. Lin Feng's departure was like a thorn in her side, making her restless and unable to eat or sleep properly.

Now that Lin Feng has suddenly returned, how could his mother not be happy?

"Uh..." Lin Feng smiled awkwardly, "I had some personal matters to attend to, so I'm sorry I'm late."

"You still dare to talk back," Lin's mother said. "If you hadn't come back soon, I was really going to take Xiaoqian home."

"No, Mom!" Lin Feng quickly pulled his mother away.

"You're the one who calls her Xiaoqian! Call her sister-in-law, do you understand?" Lin's mother scolded.

"Understood, Auntie," Lin Feng said.

"Good boy, that's right." Lin's mother patted Lin Feng's shoulder with satisfaction.

"Mom, how is Xiaoqian?" Lin Feng asked.

"Xiaoqian just woke up, she's still unconscious." Lin's mother sighed. "Lin Feng, Xiaoqian really likes you very much. She's never had a boyfriend before, nor has she ever been with another man."
