………………………………

October 25th, 1930.

The sky was overcast, with large patches of dark clouds pressing down from above, completely covering the clear blue sky, as if a torrential downpour could fall at any moment.

All the shops on both sides of the street were closed and deserted.

This is the Martyrs' Monument outside the suburbs of Taiyuan.

Hundreds of thousands of people gathered here to commemorate the soldiers who shed their blood and sacrificed their lives for the country. They wore various costumes, different wreaths and hats, and held flowers in their hands, and observed a moment of silence.

At the very front of the crowd.

Commanders at all levels of the North China Field Army stood in dozens of rows, with soldiers, officers, and their families behind them.

At the very front, all the leaders of the Eighth Route Army headquarters were present.

Under the watchful eyes of everyone, Lin Feng held a bouquet of flowers in both hands and walked solemnly toward the stone monument in the cemetery—the "Martyrs' Monument".
