Songta Town is the only ancient town in northern China.
Legend has it that during the Ming Dynasty, Ming troops were stationed here and post stations and official roads were set up. Later, due to the war, the post stations were almost completely destroyed.
The ancient town gradually fell into disrepair, and by the late Qing Dynasty, it was renamed Songta Town, becoming a transportation hub for several nearby counties.
After the outbreak of the War of Resistance against Japan, this place became the garrison of the 359th Regiment of the 193rd Brigade of the Jin-Sui Army.
Lin Feng rode his horse and arrived at Songta Town in less than two hours.
The night was dark and the wind was biting.
The streets were deserted, with very few pedestrians.
There is a wide main road on the east side of Songta Town, which is accessible to vehicles.
At this moment, a line of Jin-Sui troops were patrolling along the main road.
The patrol team consisted of about fifty men, each equipped with a Type 65 rifle made in Shanxi, and carrying a dagger and grenades at their waist.
"stop!"
"Hands up!!"
The soldiers guarding the main road shouted orders.
"Whoosh!"
"Swish, swish, swish!"
The remaining dozens of soldiers immediately surrounded Lin Feng, staring at him menacingly.
The platoon leader sized up Lin Feng, who was dressed in a tattered cotton-padded coat, covered in dirt, and looked like a poor man. He thought to himself with disdain, "How dare someone like this trespass into Songta Town? He's got some nerve!"
"Kid, do you know where we are? Give me the password! Otherwise, don't blame us for being rude!"
"Password?"
Lin Feng was taken aback; this really stumped him.
He thought for a long time before finally managing to blurt out, "You...you're called a bastard!"
"What the heck?"
"You called me a bastard?!"
"Damn it, kid, you're asking for trouble, aren't you?"
"Boss, why waste words with this idiot? Let's beat him up!"
The platoon leader waved his hand and ordered, "Arrest him! He's definitely a Japanese spy!"
"yes!"
A group of soldiers were eager to fight.
Lin Feng's expression changed, and he hurriedly explained, "No, gentlemen, let's talk this out. Don't fight! Do I look like a spy to you?"
"Besides, I'm all alone. Why would I risk being a spy?"
"Bah! I don't care if you're a spy or not, arrest me first!"
"take away!!"
"Ouch! Be gentle! My leg is injured!!"
Lin Feng was pushed and dragged into the alley ahead.
"Let me go, let me go!!"
"Help!"
"Help!!"
"Help!..."
"......"
However, no matter how Lin Feng shouted, the surroundings remained silent.
In the ensuing silence, only Lin Feng's agonizing screams could be heard!
……………………
Half an hour later.
359th Regiment Headquarters.
Regimental Commander: Zhang Shide.
He is cautious, adaptable, and cunning.
When they're flattering you, they can make you feel completely comfortable; when they're bragging, they can't even believe their own lies!
Zhang Shide once said: "If you have money, you're a fool not to make it!"
At this moment, Zhang Shide was sitting in a chair, leisurely sipping tea.
He sipped his wine, listened to music, and enjoyed life.
Suddenly, there was a knock on the door.
Knock knock knock.....
Zhang Shide raised an eyebrow. "Come in!"
As Zhang Shide finished speaking, a platoon leader quickly walked to his desk.
Zhang Shide said calmly, "What is it?"
"Commander, we've caught a spy without a password! Should we just execute him?"
"spy?"
Zhang Shide scoffed disdainfully, his face full of contempt: "Kill him? That would be too easy on him. I want to see just how powerful this traitor really is."
Zhang Shide has a bad temper, but that doesn't mean he's brainless.
One person dared to take such a big risk to come to the 359th Regiment.
Such a person is either mentally ill or has ulterior motives.
"Bring it here!"
"Yes, Commander!"
Soon, Lin Feng was brought before Zhang Shide.
"Kid, you don't look like a spy at all."
Zhang Shide sat upright in his chair, his expression indifferent as he began the interrogation, "Speak! Who exactly are you?"
"Who I am doesn't matter, what matters is... I can help you make a lot of money!!"
Lin Feng smiled slightly.
"Make a lot of money?"
"Ha ha!"
Zhang Shide couldn't help but burst into laughter: "Kid, don't try to make fun of me. Do you think I, the commander of the 359th Regiment, would be short of your stinking money?"
"That's not necessarily true!"
Lin Feng shook his head: "I guarantee that as long as you do as I say, you will definitely make a lot of money! And it will also help you get promoted and become rich!"
"oh?"
Zhang Shide's eyes darted around, and he looked Lin Feng up and down with interest: "Then tell me, how much money can you make for me?"
"Hehe, Commander Zhang, since we're open for business, it's not right to tie them up like this."
Upon hearing this, Zhang Shide immediately had the ropes loosened and brought a stool for Lin Feng, inviting him to sit down.
He then glared at Lin Feng and threatened in a cold voice, "Kid, you better not try anything funny. If you dare to lie to me, I'll make you suffer a terrible death!"
"Commander Zhang, please don't be in such a hurry!"
"I haven't even started speaking, and you already look like you're about to beat me up. Do you think we can have a pleasant working relationship like this?"
Lin Feng raised the corners of his mouth, revealing a playful smile.
"You go first! If you can really make me a lot of money, I'll reward you handsomely!!"
