"That's great! That's great!!"
Liu Erma's eyes lit up with excitement, and he quickly ran to the operations room.
As soon as Liu Erma entered the operations room, he saw Zhang Xiaowu and Li Zhenhua simulating a scenario on the sand table.
"Xiao Wu! Zhenhua! We've won the battle!!"
"The Japanese devils have retreated!"
"We've taken the entire Dien Bien province!"
Liu Erma rushed over and hugged Zhang Xiaowu and Li Zhenhua tightly, his face flushed and his whole body trembling.
"Calm down." Li Zhenhua pulled Liu Erma away, then continued to work out the battle plan on the sand table.
"I can't calm down, I can't calm down!" Liu Erma shouted frantically, "We won! We really won!"
Zhang Xiaowu, however, remained calm. "Old Liu, not to be rude, but is it really necessary to take Dien Bien Province?"
"Xiao Wu, you don't understand, this is incredibly significant!" Liu Erma gasped for breath, then said, "This is our Hua..."
"Shhh."
Zhang Xiaowu quickly raised his right index finger, signaling Liu Erma to be quiet.
"The Commander-in-Chief instructed me about my identity, my identity..."
Liu Erma immediately realized his mistake and quickly changed his tune, "This is the first time we Vietnamese have reclaimed a province! Of course I'm excited!!!"
"Um."
"This child is teachable."
Li Zhenhua nodded with satisfaction and continued to simulate the battle on the sand table.
Zhang Xiaowu then took out a pencil and paper and began to draw a diagram, and wrote the next combat deployment into the combat plan.
“Zhenhua, I think we can move up the plan to attack the southeast simultaneously,” Zhang Xiaowu suddenly said.
Upon hearing this, Li Zhenhua looked up at Zhang Xiaowu, pondered for a moment, and then nodded. "Indeed, we should implement this battle plan ahead of schedule. If we delay any longer, by the time the Japanese reinforcements arrive, it will be too late."
“Yes, this plan must be implemented immediately.”
Zhang Xiaowu immediately issued an order: "After the 21st Infantry Regiment, 26th Heavy Artillery Regiment, and 32nd Heavy Armored Regiment of Dien Bien Phu have finished clearing the battlefield, leave a small number of troops behind and immediately advance eastward into Son La Province to capture Son La, Ma Giang, and Meng Hung."
"The 11th Infantry Regiment and the 25th Heavy Artillery Regiment of Huihai bypassed Shanluo and launched a surprise attack on Anzhou, Nafi, Muzhou, Bei'an and Fu'an along the highway."
"Natan's 14th Infantry Regiment has captured Qiongya, Lianshan, Yilu, Zhanzou, and Jingdong."
"The 13th Infantry Regiment and the 16th Artillery Regiment of Menggou advanced eastward into Lao Cai Province, and then northward, capturing Sapa, Phu Lu, Bac Ha, Meng Kang, and Phu Rang."
"The 15th Infantry Regiment, which was left to guard Badan, advanced eastward and captured Nanben, Nabao, Wenxin, Qingan, Zhaihu, and Xizhang."
"The 22nd Infantry Regiment, the 24th Artillery Regiment, and the 29th Light Armored Regiment of Abazhai marched south and captured Dafusang, Mengwu, Banhuiwa, Mengwudai, Sobang, Malousen, and Xiangdao."
"Meng Dong's 9th Infantry Regiment has captured Sonon, Baban, Sogai, and Hanan..."
“Menglai’s…”
Half an hour later, new operational orders were delivered to all units, and each division and regiment quickly sprang into action.
Since the 5th Division had abandoned the entire Northwest region, the seven divisions of the National League Army encountered little hindrance along the way.
In just three days, Lao Cai and Son La provinces, as well as the northern part of Luang Prabang in Laos to the south, were all incorporated into the territory of the Democratic League.
………………………………
May 1, 1941.
Laizhou City, the headquarters building of the National League Army.
"Smack—!"
With a crisp sound, a cup in the office shattered on the floor, splashing scalding hot tea everywhere.
"I told you to recruit soldiers, and you only managed to recruit a few thousand!" Lin Feng roared. "What have I been feeding you all for?!"
Before him, Li Wenhui, the head of the conscription office, Ruan Zhicheng, the deputy head, Ruan Hong, the director of the Northern Conscription Office, Wu Yuanjia, the director of the Southern Conscription Office, Wen Jinren, the director of the Central Conscription Office, and Huang Xingyi, the director of the Overseas Conscription Office, trembled and dared not utter a word.
"What, are you mute?" Lin Feng roared.
Li Wenhui swallowed hard and mustered his courage to say, "Commander-in-Chief, please let me explain."
"Explanation? Explain what? I'm asking you, where are the soldiers you recruited?"
“Uh…” Ruan Zhicheng lowered his head and dared not utter a sound.
"What, speechless now? Can't you come up with any other excuses?"
Lin Feng flew into a rage, yelling, "A bunch of useless trash! They're all complete idiots!!"
"Commander-in-Chief, we..."
"Stop explaining!" Lin Feng interrupted Li Wenhui and shouted sternly, "The intelligence department has already learned that reinforcements from the Japanese headquarters are expected to arrive on June 20th."
"I don't care what methods you use! Even if you bring them gold bars, rice, or weapons, you must ensure that all troops are at full strength by June 20th!"
"At the same time, the Air Force also needs people, and you must meet their needs!"
"Did you hear that?!"
"I heard you!!!"
Everyone lowered their heads in unison.
"Did you hear that? What are you standing there for? Get to work!" Lin Feng roared.
"Yes, yes, yes, yes..."
Everyone left as if they had been granted a pardon, fleeing as if they were escaping.
"snort."
Lin Feng snorted, "All you do all day is stand around doing nothing. Do you think you can take the lives of Chinese people? You're dreaming!"
After saying that, Lin Feng sat back down in his office chair.
It was nearly evening, and the afterglow of the setting sun shone through the window, casting two rosy blushes on Lin Feng's cheeks, making him even more handsome.
Just as Lin Feng was lost in his thoughts, the phone on the corner of the table rang.
