Chapter 118 Steamed Buns

Chapter 118 Steamed Buns

The Governor's Mansion is neither big nor small. It took until the 29th day of the twelfth lunar month to clean up the house inside and out, and tomorrow is New Year's Eve.

After finally cleaning the house, Aunt Wu prepared to start steaming buns.

Let the dough rest the day before, and then just steam it today.

Starting from the 25th day of the twelfth lunar month, the children stopped attending classes and followed the housekeeper as soon as they opened their eyes every day.

The housekeeper has a headache watching these kids follow him all the time unless you give them something to do.

Today is fine. I saw Wu Ma preparing to steam buns, so I finally let him go.

I breathed a long sigh of relief, finally getting rid of these little troublemakers.

He quickly asked people to buy the ingredients for the New Year, and there would be no food selling on the street before the third day of the New Year.

Juanjuan rolled up her sleeves and ran to Wu Ma's side, looking at her with anticipation in her beautiful big eyes.

Her voice was soft and sweet, with a hint of sweetness: "Aunt Wu, Juanjuan also wants to help."

"Aunt Wu, I want to help you too." Si Jinchen also looked at her expectantly.

Wu Ma couldn't utter the word "no". Who could refuse these two little babes?

"Okay, okay, go wash your hands." She had no choice but to give in.

"Wow! Aunt Wu is the best." Juanjuan cheered and pulled Si Jinchen to wash her hands.

Wu Ma was at a loss for words: "Will it be bad if I don't agree?"

However, the two children did not hear this and squatted beside the basin, washing their hands carefully.

"A Tian, are you going out today?" Mrs. Si saw him dressed appropriately and getting ready to go out.

Juanjuan turned around and saw Si Tian nodded: "I have some things to take care of, I should be back soon."

"Second uncle, second uncle." She stood up and ran towards him without even wiping her hands.

Si Tian saw the little girl who ran over to wipe the water off him, and pinched her face helplessly: "Look, you wiped the water off your uncle, and now you have to change clothes again."

"Change." Juanjuan looked up at him, not forgetting to wipe her hands on his clothes.

"You kid, you used my clothes as your hand towel?" Si Tian was at a loss whether to laugh or cry.

Juanjuan smiled, revealing a row of small white teeth.

"Have you wiped it clean? After you wipe it clean, your second uncle will go change his clothes." Si Tian lowered his head and scratched her little nose.

Juanjuan nodded her head vigorously: "I wiped it clean."

"Mom, I'm going to change my clothes." Si Tian turned around and said to Madam Si, then went back to his room to change clothes.

I'm afraid I'll be late for the appointment because of this delay, so I plan to call the teahouse we had an appointment at and ask him to wait for a while if he arrives.

As a result, no one answered the phone after he called for a long time, and he couldn't help feeling a little confused.

Logically speaking, in a place like a teahouse where business is conducted, there would be no situation where no one answers the phone.

Since the call couldn't go through, he had to hurry out so as not to keep others waiting.

"Mom, I'm going out." After he said that, he took the coat hanging on the hanger and put it on, then got in the wheelchair and went out.

Old Madam Si took Juanjuan to wash her hands again, and asked her to make buns with Si Jinchen. She turned around and went back to make tiger-head hats for the chicks.

There is still a little bit of work left to do, but it should be finished today.

Wu Ma gave each of the two children a piece of dough and said, "Okay, we can start making buns and steamed buns."

She also prepared peanuts and sugar to make sugar dumplings.

Juanjuan squeezed the dough hard with her little hands, and dough overflowed from between her fingers.

She seemed to have discovered a new world, kneading the dough with one hand and then with that hand.

Looking at the dough that she had tortured, Wu Ma could only mourn for it for three minutes.

Si Jinchen took the dough and used his little hands to roll it into two circles, one slightly larger and one slightly smaller.

The little one used his little hands to gently pinch a small head and then placed it on the body of the big dough.

Juanjuan turned around and saw him do it, and her eyes lit up instantly: "Brother, is it Shushu?"

"Yes! Let me see if I can make a mouse." Si Jinchen pinched the ears and tail with small dough and glued them on carefully.

"It seems so!" Juanjuan tilted her head and looked at the dough in his hand.

Wu Ma looked up and saw the little mouse in his hand: "Young Master has really skillful hands."

She seemed to remember something and stood up to get some black sesame seeds: "And give it two little eyes."

"Okay!" Si Jinchen picked up two small sesame seeds and placed them on the position of the little mouse's eyes.

"Wow! It really looks like Shu Shu." Juanjuan wanted to clap his hands, but his hands got stuck to the dough.

A layer of flour was raised, causing her to close her eyes quickly, but her hair and little face were covered with a layer of white.

"Hahaha! Juanjuan has become a little dough figurine." Si Jinchen laughed as he looked at her.

"Hehehe!" Juanjuan also started laughing.

Wu Ma helplessly took out her handkerchief and wiped her hair lightly: "You're almost like a little mouse stealing flour."

"Squeak. Shushu, I don't steal from everyone's house." A little head popped out from the corner.

Juanjuan turned around and looked at it and laughed: "Rat only goes to rich people's homes."

"Squeak. No way!" said Shushu, then turned around and ran back to the hole.

"Juanjuan, what are you looking at?" Si Jinchen turned his head but didn't see Shushu.

"Rat!" Juanjuan looked at the dough in his hand, tilted his head, thought for a moment, and then started kneading it.

Si Jinchen didn't see Shushu and didn't care. He turned around and saw her kneading dough.

Mother Wu put the little mouse made by Si Jinchen into the steamer and gave him another piece of dough.

Juanjuan also made two circles, one big and one small, but after she finished, both Wu Ma and Si Jinchen fell silent.

How would you describe what she made?

"Juanjuan, what are you doing?" Si Jinchen didn't understand and could only ask.

"This is Aunt Wu. Juanjuan wants to make it for everyone in the family." Juanjuan answered with a smile.

When Aunt Wu looked at the dough in front of her, she suddenly felt like crying, not because she was moved, but because she felt ugly.

It has a big head and a small body, long and short arms, and a bunch of messy hair.

It turns out that this is how she is in the young lady's heart. Why does she feel so heartbroken?

But when she saw other people's dough coming out, the heartache disappeared, and she even felt a little happy.

If for no other reason than to ensure that your dough is filled with plenty of ingredients!

Even the governor and the old lady were not spared, but each of them was ugly in their own way.

Si Jinchen looked at his big-headed doll look, thick sausage mouth, and one eye bigger than the other, but he didn't think he was ugly.

I even think it's cute, ugly-cute, ugly-cute.

After Mrs. Si finished making the tiger-head hat, she came to the kitchen and saw a row of dough figurines. She was stunned for a moment before asking, "Who made these?"

"Grandma, this was made by Juanjuan. This is grandma, this is dad, this is second uncle..." Juanjuan even made the same ones for her aunt, uncle and third uncle whom she had never met.
