Chapter 120: Flowers

Chapter 120: Flowers

Siming turned his head and looked at the door where the sound came from.

"Dad, Dad, get up! We are going to put flowers on the wall!" Juanjuan's soft and sticky voice came from outside the door.

Siming raised the corners of his lips, stood up, quickly washed and dressed, opened the door and saw two little kids standing outside with a smile on their faces.

Juanjuan was wearing a red jacket and skirt today, with a circle of white rabbit fur on the collar and cuffs, which made her little face look pink and tender.

Her hair was combed into two small buns today, and there were two furry white rabbit fur balls on the red hairband.

The red jacket and skirt are also embroidered with cute little rabbits, which looks lively and cute.

Si Jinchen wore the same fabric vest and long gown today.

The two children were like little fairies under the immortal's throne, just looking at him with a smile.

Juanjuan stretched out her little hand and pulled him: "Dad, Dad, let's go put up the flowers."

"Okay, but we have to have breakfast first." Si Ming said as he pulled Si Jinchen with his other hand and walked downstairs.

Everyone in the family is wearing new clothes today, including Siming, who is wearing a dark red gown with auspicious cloud patterns on it.

Si Tian was wearing a pink long gown. Since he was good-looking, he didn't think the gown looked feminine.

"Grandma." Juanjuan let go of Siming's hand and ran to hug Old Madam Si.

Madam Si was wearing a maroon cheongsam, which made her look very elegant. "Oh! I thought it was a fairy from heaven, but it turned out to be our two little babies."

She smiled and hugged the two children in her arms, her eyes full of smiles.

"Madam, Mr. Yan and Mr. Liu and his family are here." The housekeeper had a smile on his face.

"Let's go, let's go and meet your teacher and your sister Yueya." Old Lady Si took their hands and walked out the door.

"Oh! These two children are getting prettier and prettier." Jian Menglan couldn't suppress the smiles on the two children's faces.

Liu Yueya was wearing a little red dress and a lace headband on her hair, making her look more like a beautiful doll.

"Hello teacher, hello beautiful grandma, hello beautiful aunt, hello sister Yueya, hello uncle Qiuqiu!"

Juanjuan finished reading it in one breath, her little face turned red without even breathing, and she finally let out a long sigh of relief after she finished.

Siming looked at them and smiled: "Come in quickly!"

"Mr. Yan, the couplets for our family are still waiting for you to pick up the pen!" Old Madam Si looked at him with a smile.

"Okay, but I don't know if your family has prepared paper?" Yan Anqing agreed readily.

"Of course it is prepared, but let's have breakfast first. It won't be too late to write after breakfast." Mrs. Si took them to the restaurant.

Liu Yueya sat next to Juanjuan and reached out to touch the furry little ball on her head.

"If Sister Yueya likes it, Juanjuan will give it to you!" Juanjuan tilted her head and looked at her.

"I don't want children's things." Liu Yueya said this, but her eyes were still looking at the little ball on her head.

"This is not for children, it was bought by my grandmother." Juanjuan thought about it seriously.

After breakfast, Madam Si, Jian Menglan and Lin Jingqiu went to the kitchen to help Aunt Wu prepare today's New Year's Eve dinner.

Siming had someone move a table out and asked Yan Anqing to write Spring Festival couplets on it.

Several children stretched their necks to look.

Juanjuan and Si Jinchen are short and can't be seen even if they stand on tiptoe.

Si Ming picked up Si Jinchen, and Liu Cheng'an picked up Juanjuan so that the two children could see.

Yan Anqing's calligraphy is majestic and elegant, and he pays great attention to every stroke.

Juanjuan's eyebrows furrowed as she read this. She turned to look at Liu Cheng'an and said, "Uncle Qiuqiu, what did the teacher write?"

Liu Cheng'an stared at her. Could he say he didn't understand?

It seems a bit cheap.

But Mr. Yan's handwriting was too sloppy, and he really couldn't tell what the words were.

"Oh! I understand. Uncle Qiuqiu can't tell either." Juanjuan said while covering her mouth with her hands and laughing.

"What are you laughing at, girl?" Liu Cheng'an looked helpless.

"Uncle Qiuqiu is as illiterate as I am!" Juanjuan's voice was loud and everyone around heard it.

It was too late for him to cover the little guy's mouth with his hands. Everyone looked at him in disbelief, making his face flush a little.

"I can read, really." He wanted to explain, but what he said always sounded a little untrue.

"Dad, it's not shameful to be illiterate. Just read books well in the future." Liu Yueya walked to his side to comfort him.

"Yue Yaya, I was the one who gave you your name. How could you suspect that your father is illiterate?" Liu Cheng'an was anxious.

Liu Yueya was silent for a long time before she looked up at him: "No wonder you chose such a meaningless name."

"Puchi!" Si Tian couldn't help laughing out loud. After all, the boomerang hit him.

Fortunately, this leaky little cotton-padded jacket is not theirs, otherwise it would be heartbreaking.

Thinking of this, he felt that their Juanjuan was the best in the world!

Liu Cheng'an took a deep breath and said to himself: My biological child, absolutely my biological child.

While waiting for the ink on the couplets written by Yan Anqing to dry, Si Ming and Liu Cheng'an took a group of children to paste up the couplets, blessing characters, and window decorations.

Several children looked up at the posted couplets, their mouths slightly open, as they were a little confused.

"Teacher, what is written on it?" Si Jinchen looked at it for a long time and only recognized one or two words.

"A prosperous era brings peace and prosperity to the country and good weather and a good harvest. The horizontal banner reads 'Peace and Prosperity Across the World.'" Yan Anqing stroked his beard and read out the words above.

Some children didn’t quite understand, but the adults did. This was not only what Yan Anqing expected, but also what all of them expected.

"Okay, we still have blessing characters and window decorations to put up, so you guys should come and help us quickly!" Si Tian broke the silence and asked Bailing to distribute the window decorations to them.

A group of children followed them and pasted beautifully cut paper-cuts on the clean glass.

The housekeeper and the soldiers in the yard hung the red lanterns they bought under the eaves, making the house look much more festive.

Juanjuan went to get the gifts she had bought earlier and distributed them to everyone.

Liu Yueya was still stunned looking at the tiger-head hat in her hand.

But when she saw Juanjuan, Si Jinchen, Ma Yang and Bai Qiao were all wearing them, she put them on too with some reluctance.

Juanjuan reached out and picked up Songsong, and asked Si Jinchen to put a tiger-head hat on it.

"Woof woof woof. I don't want to wear this ugly hat."

"It looks great. You'll look like a big tiger when you wear it." Juanjuan stroked its fur.

Songsong raised his claws and tried to dig it out for a long time but failed.

"Ooooh! Tiger dog, hahahaha!"

"Woof woof woof. What is a tiger dog?" Ruanruan, wearing a tiger hat on his head, tilted his head to look at the chicks in the chicken coop.

"Ohhh! Dog and tiger are also fine, hahahaha!"

"Woof woof woof. Believe it or not, I will bite you to death." Songsong bared his teeth and looked at Jizi.

The chick held its head high and took a few steps forward, but before it could even make a sound, it was picked up by a chubby little hand.
