Chapter 154 Bear Doll
Liu Yueya heard her say: "We need to sew this up with needle and thread, otherwise it will leak out."
"Will Sister Yueya know how?" Juanjuan looked at her expectantly.
Liu Yueya shook her head awkwardly: "No."
I don't usually do these chores around the house myself, so I really don't know how to do them.
"Let me try. I've made it at home before, but it might not look very good." Ma Yang said as he went to ask the tailor for some needle and thread.
Juanjuan and the others sat aside, watching Mayang sew the scraps of cloth together stitch by stitch, until it looked a bit like a body.
They stuffed the rags in and smoothed it out a little.
"Juanjuan, what should we do next?" Si Jinchen looked at the strange thing with a head and a body in Ma Yang's hand.
"Let's give it hands, feet and ears." Juanjuan looked at the shape and thought it looked like a little bear.
"What kind of ears?" Ma Yang was a little puzzled. His imagination was not as big as Juanjuan's.
Juanjuan used her little hands to draw two semicircular ears on the ground.
Liu Yueya found a pair of scissors and cut several pieces of cloth of similar size into semicircles.
Ma Yang was responsible for sewing it up, while Juanjuan and Si Jinchen were responsible for stuffing scraps of cloth into it.
The four children worked on it for a long time. Although the result was not satisfactory, it was not difficult to see that it was just a small toy.
"Why are you guys here?" Old Madam Si wanted to take the children to eat, but she searched for a long time before finally finding them here.
Juanjuan showed her the first teddy bear they had made: "Grandma, look."
Madam Si walked over and took the teddy bear from her hand, her eyes full of surprise: "Did you make this?"
"Yes, Sister Yueya cut the cloth, Brother Xiaoyang helped sew it, and I helped stuff the cloth." Juanjuan said with a smile.
The reason why everyone likes Juanjuan is that she never takes credit for things. What belongs to whomever is hers. If she does something wrong, she will admit it and never blame others.
"That's amazing! If your second uncle saw this, he would definitely think that you are all his money bags." Old Lady Si rubbed the children's heads.
I have to say, every time these kids come to the store, their creative ideas seem to be unstoppable.
If it weren't for the shortage of manpower, she would really like to bring them here every day and give them different surprises every time they come.
"Are you hungry? Grandma will take you to eat." Old Madam Si looked at the children with a smile.
"I'm hungry!" The four children were concentrating on doing their work just now and didn't feel hungry. Now that they heard it, they realized that they were really hungry.
Mrs. Si said something to the people in the store, then took the children to a small restaurant nearby for dinner and let them order their favorite food.
Each of the children ordered one of their favorite dishes, and the rest were ordered by Mrs. Si.
She also only ordered one. These children always knew not to waste food, so they didn't order too much, just enough for them to finish.
After a busy day, Lin Jingqiu came to the store to pick up Liu Yueya.
After Liu Yueya left, it was time for them to close the shop and go back.
The three children did not take a nap at noon. They closed their eyes in the shaking car, leaning against each other and sleeping soundly.
Old Madam Si took a blanket and covered the three children, fearing that they would catch a cold while sleeping.
She was holding a few teddy bear dolls made by children. They had no eyes or noses, but you could tell at a glance what kind of animals they were.
This is quite interesting. It seems that Xinyizhuang will no longer have any scraps of cloth in the future.
The vehicle slowly arrived at the gate of the Governor's Mansion. Si Ming came back early today and saw three children sleeping in the car.
He first picked up Juanjuan, who was sleeping next to Si Jinchen, and handed her to Wu Ma.
Then he carried Si Jinchen out and handed him to the housekeeper. Finally, he carried Ma Yang, who was sleeping leaning against Old Madam Si, to his room.
Old Madam Si moved her arms, which were numb from being leaned on by the children, before getting out of the car.
"Mom, have you eaten?" Siming came out of the room.
"I've eaten at the restaurant next door. Sometimes too much business is not a good thing." Old Madam Si sat on the sofa feeling a little tired.
"What are you holding in your hand?" Siming saw that she was holding two things in her hand.
Madam Si handed him the silk handkerchief and teddy bear doll in her hand and said, "These are made by a few children. They are quite interesting."
Siming reached out to take it. The little bear had no eyes, mouth or nose, but it could be seen from its appearance that it was a little bear. This was really interesting.
"I don't know what these kids were thinking, but they were able to make little dolls with such images."
He looked at the silk handkerchief in his hand again: "What is this?"
"This handkerchief is made from leftover silk fabric. Juanjuan said it's much softer than the handkerchiefs we usually use. I tried it and I think it's pretty good."
"They're perfect for making children's handkerchiefs. They're made from scraps, so there's no waste of fabric."
"I also asked some of the children to draw some cute designs to be embroidered on the handkerchiefs."
Madam Si explained with a smile.
"This child really can't sit still." Si Ming looked at the silk handkerchief in his hand. Its soft texture was indeed suitable for children.
Si Tian came back and saw that the two were still awake: "Mom, is the store business very busy today?"
"Don't you know the business of your own shop?" Old Madam Si rolled her eyes at him.
"It's because business is so good that I really can't get away, so I found you!" Si Tian walked behind her and stretched out his hand to massage her shoulders.
Madam Si patted his hands and said, "Alright, stop busying yourself. Sit down and I have something to tell you."
Si Tian sat down next to Madam Si. "What's the matter?"
"The Qian family and the Zhang family want to do business in raincoats and rain boots. Let's see if you can supply them." Old Madam Si first talked about the Qian family and the Zhang family.
"Of course there is no problem. I can't sell so many things by myself. It would be great to have someone to help me." Si Tian was very happy about this.
"I think they also want to do the bamboo lantern business. Can you supply them?" Old Lady Si looked at him.
"We're already looking for skilled people, and we'll be able to supply you in a while." Si Tian thought for a moment and replied.
"This was made by Juanjuan and the others. See if you can do it. If you can, it can give you extra income." Si Ming stuffed the thing in his hand into Si Tian's hand.
Madam Si briefly explained the origins of these things to him, and then she prepared to get up and go back to her room to rest: "You can arrange the rest by yourselves. I need to rest my old bones."
"Mom, I'll have to trouble you these few days. I will send a batch of cheap umbrellas to sell tomorrow." Si Tian has already made the umbrellas.
