Chapter 158 Orphanage Jiang Mei

Chapter 158 Orphanage Jiang Mei

Jiang Mei smiled and nodded in agreement. After sending them out, she still looked at the children hiding in the dark with a smile on her face.

"You better not cause me any trouble, otherwise you know what I'm going to do."

The children hiding in the dark were trembling violently and dared not make a sound.

Jiang Mei took a look at the things they brought and sneered: "I only brought you such a small gift when I came to see you. You are really stingy."

Old Madam Si didn't know what happened later in the welfare home.

"Grandma." Juanjuan pulled her sleeve.

"What's wrong?" Mrs. Si noticed something was wrong the moment she entered the welfare home.

"That aunt is mean and bullies her friends." Juanjuan is still young and can't express what the little gecko said to her.

"Why did you bully your friends?" Old Madam Si slowly guided her.

Juanjuan: "Beat them and don't give them food."

"So that's how it is. No wonder Juanjuan doesn't like her." Old Madam Si raised her hand and touched her little head.

"Grandma, can we help them?" Si Jinchen finally understood why these children were so resistant to them.

"Don't worry, I'll ask your father to investigate thoroughly when we get back. If that's true, her good days are over." Old Madam Si narrowed her eyes.

Ma Yang: "I just saw a child whose clothes seemed to be torn, and there were some scars on the skin that he accidentally exposed."

"He was running so fast at the time that I couldn't see clearly what caused it."

"Don't worry, the truth will eventually come out." Old Madam Si patted his shoulder.

Siming came back early today. When he saw them coming back, he came to the door and waited: "Where did you go today?"

"Dad, let's go to the teahouse to watch an opera!" Juanjuan pulled his hand.

"Does it look good?" Siming asked, holding her little hand.

"It looks good, but the water doesn't taste good. It tastes bitter like medicine." Juanjuan frowned when she thought of the taste of tea.

"What kind of water is bitter?" Siming looked confused.

Madam Si smiled and shook her head: "It's tea. This girl secretly drank a sip of my tea and said it was bitter, so she asked me to add milk and sugar to it."

"Tell me, how can you add milk and sugar to tea? It doesn't even sound drinkable."

Aunt Wu was listening on the side. This was quite interesting. What would happen if milk and sugar were added to tea?

Try it when you're not busy, it shouldn't be a big waste.

"A Ming, there is something I want you to send someone to investigate." Old Madam Si looked at Si Ming.

"Mom, what's the matter?" Siming's expression became much more serious.

"Jiang Mei from the orphanage, go check it out. This person gives people a strange feeling." Madam Si looked at him and said.

"Jiang Mei? What's going on with her?" Si Ming frowned slightly.

Madam Si looked at the children who went to play with the animals at home and said, "Juanjuan said Jiang Mei is a bad person. She would beat and scold the children and not give them food."

"I didn't notice anything strange in my interactions with her today. She seemed very friendly, but I believe what Juanjuan said."

"So I think you should investigate secretly. You probably won't find anything on the surface."

Siming nodded: "I will investigate secretly. If it is really as Juanjuan said, her good days are over."

A few days later.

Adjutant Qi walked in with an angry look on his face: "Commander-in-Chief, this Jiang Mei is really a person with a kind face but a black heart."

"What have you found out?" Siming put down the pen in his hand.

"Jiang Mei was married before, but her husband beat her so violently that she had a miscarriage and can no longer have children."

"After divorcing my husband, I was introduced to a welfare home and started working there. I always smiled at everyone I met and seemed very friendly."

"After the old director left the orphanage due to poor health, she was asked to take over the orphanage. At first, she was quite nice to the children, but one time, for some unknown reason, she assaulted a child."

"From that time on, she seemed to have become mentally twisted, and she would either beat or scold the children in the orphanage."

"At first, the children in the orphanage ran out to seek help, but everyone around knew Jiang Mei and knew she was a kind person, so they didn't believe what the children said."

"I even feel like these children are lying. Every time this happens, they are sent back to the orphanage."

"Behind the scenes, she either locked these children up in a dark room and denied them food or water, or beat them until they were covered in bruises."

Siming's fingers tightened slightly: "Kill him!"

"Commander-in-Chief, she has sold a lot of things from the welfare home over the years." Adjutant Qi repeated the news he had heard.

"Search her house and find someone new to take charge. This time, investigate thoroughly. Also, have Doctor Huai check on these children and send some more things over."

Sima Ming ordered.

"Okay, I'll go now." Adjutant Qi immediately took people to the welfare home and arrested Jiang Mei.

"General, what are you doing?" Jiang Mei struggled and begged for mercy.

"Jiang Mei, what did you do that you really think you can hide it from the world?" Adjutant Qi looked at her coldly.

"I, I really don't know what I did wrong." Jiang Mei's eyes rolled around. No one should know what she did.

"You abused the children in the orphanage and resold the orphanage's donations. Do you really think no one knows?" Adjutant Qi looked at her.

The crowd watching outside opened their mouths in shock. They couldn't believe that Jiang Mei, who was usually so kind, would do such a thing.

"She was the one who abused us." A slightly older boy took off his shirt, revealing the hideous scars on his body.

"Hiss!" The crowd watching gasped.

"Is this something a human would do?" The mother next to her was so angry that she stepped forward and slapped Jiang Mei a few times.

"How could you do such a thing? We all thought you were kind-hearted and that these kids were just being naughty and that's why they slandered you."

Jiang Mei dodged their beatings and yelled, "Why did my child die while they lived and had people give them food and clothes?"

"I don't accept it. What my child doesn't have, they can't have either." She screamed, the veins on her neck popping out.

"Bang!" Adjutant Qi shot Jiang Mei in the middle of her eyebrows.

Jiang Mei opened her eyes wide and fell backwards.

"Take her away." Adjutant Qi had Jiang Mei's body dragged away.

He turned to look at Doctor Huai and Bai Qiao: "Doctor Huai, Bai Qiao, please take a look at these children."

Doctor Huai nodded and looked at the children: "Don't be afraid, we won't hurt you."

A group of smaller children huddled together in fear, not daring to get close.

"Do you still remember the three children who came a few days ago? It was they who said you were injured, so they asked the governor to thoroughly investigate Jiang Mei." Bai Qiao tried to dispel their vigilance.
