Chapter 182 Sweet Mouth

Chapter 182 Sweet Mouth

"Dad, are you going on a long trip?" Juanjuan was lying on the bed, holding her little rabbit in her hands.

"Yes, Dad will be away for a while. You must listen to grandma and others at home." Siming touched the bangs in front of her forehead.

"Okay, I'll be good and obedient." Juanjuan kissed him on the cheek: "Dad, be safe!"

Siming smiled and kissed her forehead: "You will be safe and sound."

He looked at Si Jinchen beside him and said, "Achen, take good care of your sister and grandmother."

"Dad, I will." Si Jinchen didn't ask where he was going.

Si Ming told Juanjuan a story, and when she fell asleep, he saw that Si Jinchen was still awake: "Can't sleep?"

"Dad, are you going to do anything dangerous tomorrow?" Si Jinchen asked in a low voice.

"I guess so, but don't worry, go to sleep!" Siming pulled his hand and held it in his.

Juanjuan turned over and sat up early in the morning, and saw that Siming was already wearing his military uniform: "Dad."

Siming didn't expect her to wake up, so he walked over to her bed and sat down: "It's still early, and you won't have classes today, so sleep a little longer."

"Grandpa Gun, come on!" Juanjuan touched the holster on his waist and muttered softly.

"Juanjuan, Dad is gone." Siming stuffed her back into the quilt and kissed her on the forehead.

"Dad, you have to come back early." Juanjuan waved her little hands at him.

Siming smiled and nodded, put on his military cap, opened the door and strode out of the room.

Juanjuan watched the door slowly close. She turned her head and looked to the side. Si Jinchen had already woken up: "Brother."

Si Jinchen held her in his arms: "It's okay, Dad will only be out for a few days and will be back soon."

As he spoke, he patted her back gently, lulling her to sleep.

Juanjuan yawned, rubbed the little rabbit in his arms, and fell asleep again.

There is a temple outside Beiyang City. Every time Siming goes out of the city, Madam Si goes to the temple to burn incense.

"Grandma, where are we going?" Juanjuan leaned on the car window and looked out.

"Let's go to the temple to burn incense, which can bless our family to be safe and sound." Old Lady Si touched her head.

Songsong lay on the seat in front: "Woof woof. Your father went to the war, so your grandmother has to go to the temple to burn incense every time."

Juanjuan lay on the back of the front seat and whispered to Songsong: "Do you want to beat up the bad guys?"

"Woof woof. Um, uh, uh." Songsong nodded.

Juanjuan frowned, not knowing what she was thinking.

When the car stopped under the temple, there were quite a few small vendors there.

"Grandma." Juanjuan pulled her hand.

Madam Si looked down at her: "What's wrong?"

Juanjuan pointed to a stall selling sesame candy nearby and said, "Can you buy some candy for Juanjuan?"

"Of course." Mrs. Si didn't think much about it, but just thought that she gave all the candies in her small bag to Ma Yang.

Now that she was probably greedy, he took Si Jinchen with him to buy her sesame candy.

Because Si Ning was pregnant, Madam Si didn't let her come along.

"Boss, give me some sesame candies." Mrs. Si said, pointing at some sesame candies.

"Grandma, I want more." Juanjuan looked at the few pieces and spoke quickly.

Madam Si looked at Juanjuan and said, "If you eat too much, your teeth will hurt."

"Grandma, I want to eat it too. Please buy more!" Si Jinchen pleaded.

"Just spoil her!" Old Madam Si didn't understand her grandson very well, and she didn't like sweets on weekdays.

Si Jinchen looked at her with a smile and did not explain much.

"Boss, I want all of these. Please help me pack them." Mrs. Si had no choice but to buy a lot of sesame candies as she had two children.

Hu Zi helped them hold the sesame candy and accompanied them up the mountain.

Juanjuan stood on the steps at the foot of the mountain, looking up at the long staircase with her mouth open: "It's so high!"

"If you are tired, let's take a rest." Mrs. Si said with a smile as she looked at the two children.

"Juanjuan is very powerful!" Juanjuan pulled Si Jinchen and started to climb up step by step.

Old Madam Si smiled and shook her head, then followed them slowly towards the temple above.

We took a break on the way and finally reached the temple entrance.

"Ding, ding, ding!" The sound of bells came into their ears.

"Brother Hu Zi, candy." Juanjuan reached out to Hu Zi to take the wrapped sesame candy.

Hu Zi handed her a packet: "Miss, do you want to eat it now? I'll help you open it."

"Okay!" Juanjuan nodded vigorously.

Hu Zi untied the thin hemp rope around the kraft paper and handed her the opened sesame candy.

Old Madam Si had already started worshiping Buddha, kowtowed and burned incense to a statue she saw.

Juanjuan ran to the altar with a paper bag in her arms, standing on tiptoe to get something.

"Young donor, you can't do that." A little monk stepped forward to stop him.

Madam Si stood up and saw her little naughty boy standing in front of the altar. A little monk stopped her and said, "Juanjuan, what are you doing?"

"Give the statue some candy to sweeten its mouth." Juanjuan took the sesame candy in his hand and wanted to put it on the altar.

The young monk finally understood what she was going to do: "Little donor, do you want to place an offering?"

Juanjuan didn't quite understand what the offerings were, so she just took a few pieces of sesame candy and handed them to the little monk: "Sweet your mouth, and bless you!"

She just heard Madam Si say "blessing", but she didn't hear the rest, so she didn't know what it meant.

The young monk only understood half of what was said and looked at Madam Si with a puzzled look on his face.

"Juanjuan said that giving candies to the Bodhisattvas will protect us." Si Jinchen explained to him.

"I see. You are a kind-hearted young donor. I will put them on the altar for you right away." The young monk placed the three pieces of sesame candy in his hand on the altar and prepared to leave.

As soon as he turned around, he realized that his monk's robe had been grabbed. He looked down and saw Juanjuan with his head tilted back, staring at him with his big eyes without blinking.

"Little donor, is there anything else?"

"The other statues haven't had any candy yet." Juanjuan pointed at the statues enshrined in the temple with her little hand.

The young monk understood: "Little donor, do you want me to place sesame candy in front of each deity statue?"

"Yeah, yeah, sweet mouth." Juanjuan nodded seriously.

"Come with me." The little monk took her to each statue and took out three pieces of sesame candy from the oil paper bag in her hand and placed them on the altar.

After this trip, all the sesame candies I bought at the foot of the mountain were used up, and there was not a single piece left.

The little monk was stunned after placing the last piece, not knowing whether it was a coincidence.

Each of the large and small statues in the temple was given three pieces of sesame candy, and there were no leftovers.

He looked down at Juanjuan, who was smiling brightly. Perhaps this child was a blessed one.

The host personally received Mrs. Si and chanted scriptures and prayed for her.

Mrs. Si donated money for incense and they prepared to leave.

The host glanced at Juanjuan when he saw them off, but didn't say much.
