Chapter 19 The Food is Moldy

Chapter 19 The Food is Moldy

Master Liu stood up and said, "I won't bother you any longer. I'll have the things delivered to you shortly."

After he finished speaking, he looked at Liu Ruyan and said, "Let's go."

Liu Ruyan stomped her feet and followed Old Man Liu out of the Si family.

Juanjuan and Si Jinchen came down from upstairs and just saw the backs of the two people leaving.

"Brother, Juanjuan doesn't like them." Juanjuan wrinkled her nose.

"Brother doesn't like it either." Si Jinchen pulled her to play with Songsong.

Siming turned around and saw two children coming down: "Are you awake?"

Juanjuan opened her arms and rushed towards him: "Dad."

"Mom, I'm a little envious of my elder brother. What should I do?" Si Tian turned to look at Old Madam Si.

"How about I arrange a blind date for you, and see if there's anyone you like?" Old Madam Si smiled as she looked at her second son.

Ever since he broke his leg, all the women who used to surround him seemed to have disappeared from the face of the earth.

Although he didn't say it, as his mother, how could I not know how frustrated he was.

"Let's not do that. These people don't like me now." Si Tian is very clear now.

Mrs. Si did not force them and let them decide for themselves about the children's affairs.

During dinner, Adjutant Qi rushed in with a bag in his hand: "Commander-in-Chief, something's wrong."

Siming looked at the bag in his hand: "Food?"

"Yes." Adjutant Qi nodded and put the bag on the table.

"The northern government is a bunch of bastards. They sold us moldy and spoiled food. This food is completely inedible."

He was so angry that he punched the table.

Madam Si and the others also gathered around and saw that the food in the bag had grown green hair and spots.

This kind of food will cause problems if eaten by animals, not to mention humans.

"Brother, how about I contact my friend and see if I can get some food from him." Si Tian's face was also gloomy and ugly.

"It's too far. The people and brothers in the city can't hold on for that long." Si Ming frowned as he looked at the food in the bag.

Juanjuan was not tall. She climbed onto the stool and saw Siming frowning and the moldy rice in the bag.

She stretched out her small hand and placed it between Siming's eyebrows: "Worries fly away."

Siming's brows were smoothed by her small hand: "Thank you, Juanjuan."

Juanjuan turned to look at the rice in the bag: "Grandpa Mi said it has grown hair and it's itchy all over. If I blow on it, it won't itch anymore."

As she spoke, she puffed out her cheeks and blew gently towards the rice in the bag: "Itchy Feifei."

Adjutant Qi looked at such a lovely young lady and couldn't bear to tell her the truth and break her fantasy.

"Put this bag of grain back first and put it aside with the moldy grain. I'll go and take a look tomorrow." Siming looked at the sky which was already completely dark.

He looked at the bag and asked, "Did the brothers down there see it?"

Adjutant Qi shook his head: "No, I checked it myself."

"Let's go back first and talk about this tomorrow." Siming had no other choice now.

Adjutant Qi nodded. There was no other way now but to take the bag of food back.

After dinner, Si Ming asked Bai Ling to take the two children out to play, while the others went to the living room.

"Brother, is it too late to buy food again now?" Si Tian looked at him and asked.

"There is another person who should have a lot of food." Mrs. Si said to her two sons.

"Mom is talking about the Liu family." Si Ming looked at Old Madam Si.

Madam Si nodded: "The Liu family originally started out as a grain merchant. They are the only family with the most grain in Beiyang City."

"We just offended someone today. If we talk about food now, I'm afraid they won't agree so easily." Si Tian frowned.

"Don't worry about this matter. I know what the Liu family wants, but I won't agree to it." Si Ming said, then stood up and left the living room.

"Mom, the Liu family has wanted Liu Ruyan to be my sister-in-law for a long time." Si Tian said after watching Si Ming go upstairs.

"Ever since your sister-in-law passed away, there are more people eyeing this position than just Liu Ruyan. Don't forget there is also Jing Xiuxiu." Old Madam Si picked up the cup and took a sip of tea.

"They are all very troublesome." Si Tian just felt a headache.

Si Ming sat on the bed, turned his head to look at the photo frame on the bedside, reached out and took the photo frame: "Wanru, having you as my wife in this life is enough."

"I won't marry another woman, but I don't know how long I can protect my family."

He gently stroked the beautiful face of the woman in the photo, recalling every detail of their past.

I don't even know when I fell asleep.

"General, General." Adjutant Qi rushed into his room without even knocking on the door.

Siming had the gun in his hand pointed at him, his eyes filled with murderous intent.

Adjutant Qi quickly raised his hand: "Commander-in-Chief, I'm sorry, this is an emergency."

When Siming saw it was him, he retracted the gun in his hand and asked, "What's going on? Why are you so flustered?"

Adjutant Qi closed the door, walked up to him and whispered, "Those moldy grains have become new grains."

"What?" Siming turned and looked at him.

Adjutant Qi wanted to cover his mouth with his hands: "Commander-in-Chief, please keep your voice down."

Siming looked at him: "What's going on?"

"I didn't show the moldy rice to anyone else yesterday, so I had someone put it in a warehouse, thinking I would deal with it today."

"The guards said this morning that rats had chewed a hole in the grain bag and the rice had all spilled out."

"I knew something was wrong the moment I heard it. If my brothers saw this, it would shake the morale of the army. I immediately ran to see what was happening."

"I was quite nervous when I went there. Are rats not picky about food these days? They'll even eat moldy food."

"Guess what I saw?" Adjutant Qi had an expression that said, "Ask me now."

"If you keep hesitating, believe it or not, I will throw you back to the barracks and replace you with someone else." Siming looked at him coldly.

"No, no, no." Adjutant Qi immediately begged for mercy: "I see that the grain is not moldy at all, just like the grain that was just harvested."

"Are you sure you didn't see it wrong?" Si Ming grabbed his collar.

Adjutant Qi was almost out of breath when he was caught by him. "Such a big thing, how could I be wrong? I even opened some of the bags of grain and saw that they were all new rice."

He hesitated for a moment and looked at Siming: "Commander-in-Chief, is it Miss..."

"The grain has never been moldy. What we bought is new grain. Do you understand?" Siming looked at him and said.

"I understand. I'll arrange for the food to be distributed now," asked Adjutant Qi.

"I'll go to the warehouse with you." Si Ming grabbed the clothes beside him and followed Adjutant Qi out of the room.

Madam Si saw the two people coming down in a hurry: "A Ming."

"Mom, I'm going out for a while. You don't have to worry about the food issue. It has been resolved." Siming said simply and left.
