Chapter 276 What attitude

Chapter 276 What attitude

Siming knew without hesitation that it must be Jing Xiuxiu who went to the General Administration of Customs.

"Director General Chen is very free recently?"

Chen Yongnian glanced at the crying Jing Xiuxiu and his expression immediately became serious: "Si Ming, I'm not saying anything bad about you, but this is your fault. Miss Jing is your aunt after all."

"She's already in such a big trouble, why don't you do anything about it?"

Siming leaned back in his chair and put his legs on the desk. "Oh! How come I didn't know what happened to her?"

"She was chased by someone the night before last and was injured, but you didn't do anything?" Chen Yongnian said pretending to be angry.

"What time was it the night before yesterday?" Siming asked in pretended surprise.

"It was around one o'clock in the morning." Chen Yongnian said seriously.

"Why is she running out in the middle of the night instead of resting in the hotel?" Siming asked in surprise.

"How would I know that?" Chen Yongnian looked as if he didn't know.

"Tell her not to run around unless necessary and to go back to the Northern Government as soon as possible. Beiyang City is not peaceful. If there is nothing else, I will hang up." Si Ming hung up the phone after saying that.

Chen Yongnian looked at the hung-up phone and started cursing, "You bastard! I just didn't give you a position at the General Administration of Customs. What's your attitude?"

"If it weren't for your father, I would have shot you to death long ago."

"Director Chen, what did Governor Si say? When will he come to pick me up?" Jing Xiuxiu asked, looking at him.

"Miss Jing, he asked me to tell you, don't run around for no reason, and go back to the Northern Government as soon as possible. Beiyang City is not peaceful." Chen Yongnian's face was dark.

"What? I'm like this, but he doesn't show any reaction at all?" Jing Xiuxiu widened her eyes in disbelief.

Chen Yongnian was so angry that his eyes almost rolled up to the sky: You think he was merciful because he didn't shoot you, and you still express it?

Should I send you a wreath?

"Miss Jing, I can't help you. Why don't you go back and rest until you've recovered from your injuries?"

"No." Jing Xiuxiu couldn't go back now. She only had seven days.

She stood up and called the Governor's Office directly, but this time she was not calling as her cousin, but as an official of the Northern Government.

Adjutant Min covered the receiver and told Siming the situation.

Siming's face was expressionless as he reached out to take the phone. "Miss Jing, I wonder what business you have in Beiyang City?"

"General Si, I am now representing the Northern Government, and there are some things I need to discuss with you in person." Jing Xiuxiu suppressed her anger and regained some of her rationality.

"Okay, why don't I go to General Chen's office to talk later." Si Ming said and hung up the phone.

"Dad!" Juanjuan and Si Jinchen, two little guys, stuck their heads in from outside the door.

Siming smiled and stood up. He walked over to the two children and squatted down. Seeing their blushing faces, he asked, "Did you just come back from the fields?"

He looked up and saw Mrs. Si coming up from behind: "Mom."

"Come back early today. The two children want to see you." Old Madam Si walked over with a smile.

"It's just that I have to go to Director Chen's office later." Si Ming looked at the two children apologetically.

"Dad, can we go with you to see Grandpa Chen?" Juanjuan still likes Chen Yongnian very much.

Si Ming turned to look at Si Jinchen: "Achen, do you want to go?"

"If Dad and Juanjuan go, I will go too." Si Jinchen likes to be with them.

"Mom, you go back and rest! Let these two little ones follow me!" Si Ming stood up and looked at Madam Si.

"Okay, then I'll leave them to you. I'll go back and rest for a while." Mrs. Si said and called Hu Zi to go back.

Juanjuan saw an unfamiliar uncle in the office: "Uncle, hello! My name is Juanjuan, what's your name?"

Adjutant Min knew the two children, but this was his first time seeing them up close.

He saw that the two children were wearing coarse linen clothes with some mud on them, but they looked so beautiful!

"My name is Min Shaoling." Adjutant Min couldn't help feeling a little nervous.

"Hello, Uncle Min!" Juanjuan stretched out her little hand and shook his nervously clenched big hand.

Si Jinchen also stood beside Juanjuan: "Hello, Uncle Min!"

"Hello, young master!" Adjutant Min immediately stood at attention and saluted.

It actually scared the two children.

Adjutant Min saw the two frightened children startled, and apologized nervously: "Yes, I'm sorry."

"It's okay." Juanjuan took out a candy from her small bag and handed it to him: "Uncle, have some candy."

Adjutant Min looked at the candy in her little hand, feeling a little conflicted about whether he should take it or not.

If I take it, the lady will have no candy to eat. If I don’t take it, will the lady be angry?

"Just take it!" Siming said as he put away the documents on the table. "Go get the car ready. We'll go to the General Administration of Customs to handle this."

"Yes!" Adjutant Min immediately stood up and saluted, then bent down and took the candy in Juanjuan's palm: "Thank you, Miss."

After he said that, he immediately ran to prepare the car.

"Dad! This uncle is so weird!" Juanjuan turned around and looked at him, scratching his head.

"Juanjuan, Uncle Min was just too nervous." Si Jinchen explained with a smile.

"Are we big monsters?" Juanjuan looked puzzled.

Siming walked up to her with amusement and pinched her little face: "Our Juanjuan is pretty and cute, how could she be a monster?"

"If it's a monster, it's a pretty and cute little monster."

Juanjuan smiled with her eyes curved, took his hand and then Si Jinchen's hand, and walked out of the office building happily humming a song.

Adjutant Min was sitting in the driver's seat. He saw the three people get in the car before he started the car and drove to the General Administration of Customs.

Chen Yongnian sat in his seat, chatting with Jing Xiuxiu in a casual manner.

Jing Xiuxiu is feeling very uncomfortable now and has a slight fever.

"General Administration, Governor Si has arrived." The secretary came in to report.

"Please come in." Chen Yongnian stood up and prepared to greet him.

Before entering, Siming instructed the two children: "Don't get too close to your Grandpa Chen when you go in."

"Okay!" The two children followed him in without asking why.

Chen Yongnian's eyes lit up when he saw the two children, but when he saw Jing Xiuxiu, he coughed lightly a few times and said, "General Si, please sit down!"

Siming found an empty sofa and sat down, letting the two children sit next to him: "Director Chen, Miss Jing, do you know any important instructions from the Northern Government?"

Jing Xiuxiu watched, her fingers clenched into fists, digging into her flesh. "Sister... Commander Si, it's about the bombing of the Dazheng Chamber of Commerce during the New Year."

"Now the Taisho Empire wants us to give them an explanation, so they sent me here to ask for an explanation."
