Chapter 324: Cross-Eyes (Thanks to Ai Baoer. Baozi for the certification, two more chapters)
Si Gu looked down and saw her looking up at him, and subconsciously bent down closer to her: "What's wrong?"
"Uncle San, can't you see?" Juanjuan pointed at the glasses on his nose with her little finger.
"Your third uncle is blind. He can't see anything without wearing glasses." Si Tian answered Juanjuan's question without waiting for him to answer.
Juanjuan stretched out her little hand, took off the glasses on Sigu's nose, and moved closer: "Uncle San, can you see Juanjuan?"
"Of course I can see it since it's so close." Si Gu looked at the little man who was almost close to his nose. If he still couldn't see him, he would be really blind.
However, it is easy to become cross-eyed if you look at it so closely.
Juanjuan took a step back: "How about this?"
Si Gu squinted his eyes subconsciously: "I can see it, but it's not that clear."
"Here?" Juanjuan took another big step back.
This time, Si Gu really had to squint his eyes to see a vague outline: "It's already very blurry."
"See, I told you that your third uncle is blind. Without his glasses, he might not even be able to see you if you walk past him." Si Tian walked to Juanjuan and said.
Juanjuan handed the glasses to Sitian, ran to Sigu, raised her little hands and covered Sigu's eyes.
"Juanjuan, your uncle won't be able to see anything if you do that." Si Gu thought she was playing with him.
"The eyes are bright and sparkling." Juanjuan kept talking.
"Second brother, what is Juanjuan doing?" Si Gu didn't dare to move, nor did he dare to pull Juanjuan's hand away, for fear of hurting him.
Si Tian raised his eyebrows slightly but didn't say anything.
Juanjuan released the hand that was covering him and ran to Sitian's side.
Si Gu looked at the two of them strangely, and stretched out his hand towards Si Tian accurately: "Second brother, return my glasses to me, otherwise I'm afraid I'll fall to my death when I go out later."
Si Tian held his glasses in one hand and looked at him with his arms folded across his chest: "Look, Mom is coming."
As he spoke, he pointed behind him, and two people happened to be walking towards him.
One is Madam Si, and the other is Si Ning.
Sigu actually called out to the two of them accurately: "Mom, Big Sister."
"Agu, can you see?" Si Ning looked at him in disbelief.
You know, the distance they just came from was definitely beyond his ability to see. Even though his figures showed that they were two women, his facial features were definitely not visible.
Si Gu was stunned by the question, and he subconsciously raised his hand to touch the glasses on his nose.
As a result, he touched nothing and turned to look at Si Tian who was shaking his glasses.
That’s right! He clearly wasn’t wearing glasses just now, so how could he see clearly someone so far away?
He turned his head to look into the distance, and to his surprise, he could see the insects resting on the trees clearly.
How is this possible?
"Juanjuan, it's time for us to go to the orphanage." Si Jinchen called Juanjuan from a distance.
"Here I come!" Juanjuan picked up the two baskets on the ground and ran towards Si Jinchen, completely ignoring Si Gu who was so surprised that he didn't know what to say.
Seeing her carrying something, Si Jinchen hurried over and took the basket from her hand: "Are you taking it for your friends in the orphanage?"
"Yeah." Juanjuan smiled and nodded.
Liu Yueya looked at the blueberries in the basket. Someone from her family had also sent some to her. She never asked why the Si family's fruit trees had so many fruits that they could never pick them all.
She put down the two baskets of lychees in her hands. They had just picked them and agreed to take them to the children in the orphanage.
She raised her hand and removed the leaves stuck on her curly hair.
Juanjuan smiled and thanked her: "Thank you, Sister Yueya."
Hu Zi saw them coming and reached out to put the baskets in their hands into the trunk: "Miss, Master, please get in the car."
"Thank you, Brother Huzi." The three children thanked him politely.
"Don't be so polite." Hu Zi packed his things and drove out of the gate.
Si Gu looked at the car in which Juanjuan and the others left.
"Let's go, it's time for us to go out." Si Tian said as he threw the glasses in his hand to the butler behind him.
"Please keep it for the Third Master. He might become blind again someday and need it." After he said that, he prepared to leave with the things.
"You have such a big mouth!" Old Madam Si smiled and shook her head.
Si Gu was now full of questions and immediately caught up with Si Tian: "Second brother."
"Carry the things with you. We can talk later if you have anything to say." Si Tian pointed to the blueberries on the ground.
Si Gu quickly turned around, picked up all the baskets on the ground, and chased after him.
"Mom, why does Agubi seem to be more lively than before?" Si Ning smiled as he looked at the people chasing Si Tian.
"It's better for you to be more lively, so that you don't become like a piece of wood, which is so boring." Old Madam Si smiled and patted her hands.
Si Ning picked a few blueberries and put them directly into his mouth without washing them: "These blueberries taste really good."
"Before you were pregnant, I was worried that you would suffer. There aren't many fruits here, and the ones you can buy aren't very good. But now I don't have to worry about that."
Old Madam Si smiled as she looked at her growing belly. The three children made her abdomen look much bigger than that of other pregnant women.
"Mom, don't worry. You see, I can eat and sleep well now, and I'm active. Even though I'm having three children at once, it's not hard at all."
Si Ning was telling the truth. From the time she found out she was pregnant until now, she had only felt nauseous once, when Miao Jiu and the others came back from fishing. Otherwise, she felt comfortable.
Other people would experience leg swelling during pregnancy, or be unable to sleep due to the pressure, but she seemed to have never had such an experience.
There was no sign of swelling in her legs. Even when she slept flat on her back at night, it felt as if there was a thin membrane between her and the child, and there was no sense of pressure.
So she can always sleep until she wakes up naturally, and her condition is even better than before she got pregnant.
"The month is getting further and further along, and the third baby is more likely to be born prematurely, so we must not be careless." Old Madam Si was still worried.
"Mom, I know you're with me every day." Si Ning took her hand and walked slowly in the yard.
When Juanjuan and her friends arrived at the orphanage, they were welcomed by the children.
We distributed the fruits we brought to the children in the orphanage, and they were all very happy.
Miao Jiu came to deliver the first batch of children to the orphanage today, but the conditions of these children are not very good.
He had wounds of varying sizes all over his body, his face was pale and thin, and his clothes were tattered and hanging on his body.
"Master Jiu, what happened to these children?" Aunt Yao, the head of the orphanage, felt distressed when she saw them.
"Let's not talk about this for now. Boil some hot water and give the children a good wash. Let someone check on the injured ones. Do they still have any clothes?"
Miao Jiu saw three children standing not far away and waved at them.
"Uncle."
"Mr. Miao."
The three children called him obediently.
"These children are beggars in the city. They may not be easy to discipline, so I'd like to trouble you to pay more attention to them." Miao Jiu said to the three of them.
