Chapter 41 West Suburb Pier
Si Jinchen looked at Liu Yueya, not knowing how to start.
Liu Yueya looked at the two people beside her: "They have nothing to do with us, and what they did has nothing to do with our family. You can go and tell your father."
After she finished speaking, she opened the curtain and walked out. She happened to meet the child who came to look for them: "I found you."
"This game is too childish. I don't want to play it anymore." After saying that, he walked to the side.
Qian Xueming and the others were the last to find Si Jinchen and Juanjuan: "What happened to Sister Liu?"
"I don't know, maybe I'm in a bad mood." Si Jinchen said he didn't know either.
Juanjuan didn’t know what was going on, but her attention was soon attracted by other games.
It was her first time playing with so many children, and it was also the happiest time she had ever had.
Liu Yueya and Lin Jingqiu left without even eating, saying that they had something to do at home.
When Si Jinchen saw this, he just frowned slightly, but didn't say anything.
Mrs. Si won the card game with them, which made her very happy.
"Your luck is really unstoppable." Old Madam Qian smiled and shook her head.
"That's right. Now let's get back our previous luck!" Mrs. Zhang joked.
After dinner, Juanjuan and the others waited until Qian Xueming blew out the candles and ate the cake before leaving.
When they left, the drizzle turned into moderate rain.
Bailing put on raincoats and rain boots for the two children and pulled them towards the car parked outside the door.
Mrs. Si got in the car and looked at the two children: "Did you have fun today?"
"It's fun." Juanjuan had a smile on her face and hummed happily while sitting in her seat.
Si Jinchen thought for a moment and pulled on Madam Si's sleeve: "Grandma, I have something to tell you in private."
When Bailing saw this, she covered her ears and didn't intend to listen.
"What's the matter? You still need to talk to grandma in private." Old Madam Si looked at her grandson with a smile.
After she heard what Si Jinchen said, her expression became serious: "Is everything you said true?"
"Yeah, we heard it when we were playing hide-and-seek." Si Jinchen nodded.
"Grandma knows. When you go back, just pretend you know nothing. Remember?" Old Lady Si smiled and touched his head.
"I'll remember." Si Jinchen responded obediently, turned around and looked out the window with Juanjuan.
There are very few people on the streets now, and everyone is hurrying back with their heads down.
When Madam Si returned home, she asked Bailing to take the two children to take a bath. "Are the Governor and the Second Master home?"
The butler shook his head: "Neither the governor nor the second master has returned yet."
Madam Si nodded and turned to make a phone call.
The call was connected quickly, and it was Adjutant Qi who answered the phone.
When Si Ming answered the phone, he was still looking down at the map on the table. He had searched Beiyang City thoroughly over the past two days but couldn't find anyone.
He was looking at the map to see if he could find any clues.
"Mom, why haven't you rested yet at this late hour?"
Mrs. Si didn't waste any words and told him the news the two children had heard today: "You'd better take someone to the Western Suburbs Wharf to take a look."
"Okay, I'll go now." Si Ming hung up the phone: "Take some people with you and go to the West Suburb Pier."
Adjutant Qi hurried to count the men and went to the West Suburb Wharf with Siming.
I have to say it’s better to arrive at the right time than to arrive early.
Several people at the West Suburb Wharf were about to board the boat when they were blinded by the glare of car lights in the distance.
Siming got out of the car, not caring about the rain hitting his military uniform. "Where are you going, Mr. Liu, at this late hour?"
Liu Jingcheng felt nervous, wondering how the news of what happened tonight had leaked out.
He did not use anyone else's hands to do this matter from the beginning. After Zhang Dali was arrested, he knew that something bad was going to happen, and quickly arranged for the remaining three people to leave.
But I am the only one who knows the way out, and...
When he thought of that man, he felt a sense of betrayal.
He was the only one he told everything.
Siming was too lazy to talk nonsense with him. He raised his hand and moved his fingers slightly, and the soldiers immediately surrounded the four people.
He looked at the four people who had been captured and pulled off the brims of their raincoats.
One had a mole on the left side of his face near his ear, one had a missing corner of his right eyebrow, and the other was thin and small with cold eyes.
"I was wondering why I couldn't find you. It turns out that Master Liu hid you."
"If you want to kill me, just kill me. Stop talking nonsense." The short man looked at Si Ming viciously, as if he was sure that he didn't dare to do anything.
Siming took out a pistol, loaded it and shot him directly between the eyebrows.
The body was held between two soldiers and fell to his knees limply.
"Ah! Siming, are you crazy?" Liu Jingcheng screamed in fear.
Siming pulled the safety of his pistol and pointed it at his forehead: "You want to cause chaos in Beiyang City, then I can kill you first."
After he said that, he fired two more shots at the other two men without hesitation.
"Ahhh!" Liu Jingcheng was so scared that he collapsed to the ground.
"No, it's not." He kept shaking his head.
Si Ming squatted on the ground, pointing the still-warm muzzle of his gun at Liu Jingcheng: "I didn't touch the Liu family because you haven't touched my bottom line yet, but you stepped on my bottom line today."
"If Beiyang City falls into chaos, do you think your Liu family will be able to survive?"
"Wake up! They're going to target your Liu family first."
Liu Jingcheng shook his head: "No, it won't."
"Tell me who the contact person is. Maybe if I'm in a good mood, I can let you go." Siming looked at him coldly.
Liu Jingcheng's body was shaking like a sieve, and he kept shaking his head and saying no.
Siming raised his gun and fired a shot into the sky: "My patience is limited, you'd better hurry up."
"Ah!" Liu Jingcheng finally came back to his senses.
He stammered, "I, I don't know his name, but he said Mr. Pei asked him to come."
"Which Mr. Pei?" Siming squinted at him.
"Pei Jingming from the Northern Government." Liu Jingcheng swallowed and said.
"Where is he?" Siming looked at him and asked.
"An Ning Hotel, Room 503." After Liu Jingcheng said this, he felt relieved.
Siming turned to look at Adjutant Qi and said, "Take some people to capture the man, and the rest of you bury the body."
After he finished speaking, he looked at Liu Jingcheng and said, "Send Master Liu to our jail for a while."
"General, I have said everything I need to say. Please let me go this time. From now on, if I need money or food, I will definitely do it as long as you say the word."
As Liu Jingcheng said this, he pulled his trouser legs, wanting him to let him go.
Siming kicked his hand away: "I never make deals with cowards. Going back on your word is your habit."
After he finished speaking, he got into the old car and asked someone to escort Liu Jingcheng back to the prison. He also gave the Liu family a message: if they wanted the person, they should show their sincerity.
