Chapter 51 The little follower is online

Chapter 51 The little follower is online

Siming looked at the two of them and said, "Let's go together as a family. Although Achen and Juanjuan are children, there are things they should understand."

"In this world, there are no flowers in a greenhouse; they all need to grow in the wind."

"If possible, I hope they can grow up safely and play happily." Si Tian sighed helplessly.

"Maybe by the time they grow up, the situation will be different." Old Madam Si was very open-minded.

Siming looked at the two boxes on the table and said, "Why not pick one and give it as a gift?"

"I think so too. This thing looks old and can be considered an antique. It wouldn't be cheap to give it to his concubine." Old Lady Si opened the two boxes and took a look.

"I think this gold and jade butterfly-shaped hairpin is perfect for her at her age."

"Mom, you just make the decision. Wait for eldest sister to come back and let her pick a few she likes." Siming said with a smile.

"Brother, aren't you afraid that my sister will empty out my store?" Si Tian smiled bitterly helplessly.

Siming looked at him: "Brother-in-law is rich."

"Okay! You're ready to make money from your own business." Si Tian said, then got down to business: "I sent out the advertisement for the herbal medicine garden, and a few people have inquired about it."

"How much do they want?" Siming tapped the armrest of the sofa with his fingers.

"Forty to sixty silver dollars per mu. If the reserves in the warehouse are included, the price will be higher. I didn't answer immediately, but just said I would consider it for a few days." Si Tian repeated their offer.

"How many acres are there?" Siming wanted to know the number of these medicinal gardens.

"The smaller ones are one to ten acres, and the larger ones are ten to fifty acres. This is considered the largest medicinal garden in Beiyang City. Doctor Huai's is probably the largest, over fifty acres."

"At fifty silver dollars per mu, ten mu means five small yellow croakers, which is a reasonable price." After Si Tian finished speaking, he looked at him and waited for him to make a decision.

"I bought them all. Medicinal herbs are always in short supply. Now that I have the money, I should buy them. Otherwise, it will be even more troublesome if I can't buy them even if I have the money."

Sima Ming doesn't want others to raise the price for him in the end.

Juanjuan woke up from her nap and found Si Jinchen flipping through a book beside her: "Brother."

Si Jinchen closed the book in his hand and turned to look at her: "Sister Bailing said that you have red spots on your body. Are they still itchy?"

Juanjuan had just woken up and was still a little unresponsive. When she finally came to her senses, she rolled up her sleeves and said, "It doesn't seem to itch anymore."

Si Jinchen grabbed her pink and tender little arm and looked at it carefully: "It's still a little red. Let Sister Bailing apply some more medicine on you."

"Okay." Juanjuan sat up holding the little rabbit: "Brother, what are you looking at?"

Si Jinchen handed the book to her and asked, "Can you understand it?"

Juanjuan reached out to take it and flipped through it for a long time. She could understand the parts with pictures, but she couldn't understand the parts with words.

She shook her head: "I don't understand."

"Once I learn a little more, I can tell you stories." Si Jinchen tidied up her hair which was a little messy from sleeping.

Juanjuan sat on the bed, holding the little rabbit and yawned, with no light in his eyes.

"Just wait here obediently. I'll call Sister Bailing to apply medicine for you." Si Jinchen said as he turned and walked out the door.

When Bailing came in, she saw her sitting on the bed in a daze: "Miss, are you still asleep?"

Juanjuan looked up at her and said, "Sister Bailing, I saw Yunyun turned into a little flower today!"

As she spoke, she pointed out the window, but she saw that it was already dark outside and she couldn't see anything.

She wrinkled her pretty eyebrows, feeling a little disappointed and saying, "I can't see it anymore."

Bai Ling patted her head and said, "It's okay. Let's watch it together tomorrow morning."

Juanjuan immediately smiled and nodded: "Okay."

"I'll apply medicine on you first so that you won't feel itchy tomorrow." Bailing helped her take off her clothes and gently applied a layer of ointment on the red spots.

"It smells like medicine, so stinky." Juanjuan pinched her nose.

"The smell will be gone after a while, and it will be a little cool!" Bailing explained to her carefully.

After a while, Juanjuan felt her body cool, and she loosened her grip on her nose, saying, "It doesn't seem to stink so much anymore."

Bai Ling waited until the medicine dried before putting clothes on her: "Miss, does your body still itch?"

Juanjuan tilted her head and thought for a moment, then shook her head: "It doesn't itch anymore."

"Then let's go eat. The governor and the others are waiting for you downstairs." Bailing took her little hand and walked towards the restaurant on the first floor.

"Dad, grandma, uncle, brother." Juanjuan called out to them obediently as soon as she entered the restaurant.

Madam Si waved at her: "Come here, let grandma see you."

Juanjuan ran to stand beside her.

"Are you still itchy?" Old Madam Si pulled up her sleeves and looked at the rash on her hands. It was not that serious and had faded a lot.

Juanjuan: "It's not itchy, it feels cool."

Old Madam Si held her and sat her on a stool nearby.

Today I asked Wu Ma to prepare light food to prevent her rash from getting worse.

After dinner, Si Tian would walk for a while, and the two children and Songsong would follow him, as if they were taking a walk after dinner.

"Are you three followers?" He looked down at the three of them. They followed him wherever he took a step, and they stopped when he stopped.

"We are walking with our second uncle." Si Jinchen answered seriously.

"Plop!" It seemed like something fell into the yard.

The guards in the yard hurried over to check and found that it was a little boy who was dirty and had many wounds on his body.

When they arrived, the child was lying on the ground unconscious.

Soon the housekeeper came running over: "Commander-in-Chief, Madam, it's a child, seriously injured."

"Bring the person in first." Siming asked someone to carry the child in.

He was a half-grown boy, about eight or nine years old. He was wearing very thin clothes and his body was covered with scars from being whipped.

"Go look over there. I don't believe he can still grow wings and fly."

There was a commotion outside the Governor's Mansion. After a while, someone pulled the leader and pointed at a trail of tracks ahead: "Do you think someone climbed over the wall to get in?"

The leader felt something was wrong the moment he looked at the house: "This is the Governor's Mansion. If this brat gets in, it will be difficult to deal with."

"Is that it?" someone asked the leader.

"We bought this with money. How are we going to explain if we sell it back?" The leader looked embarrassed.

Si Tian saw that the child was being badly abused, and looked at the two curious babies beside him: "Bai Ling, take the young master and the young lady upstairs first."

"Uncle, what happened to this little brother?" Juanjuan looked at the boy lying next to the fireplace.

"He is injured. Now we have to help him treat his wound. Juanjuan and brother should go back to their room to play first, okay?" Si Tian smiled and touched her head.
