Chapter 52 The Injured Boy
Si Jinchen knew that he didn't want them to see something scary, so he pulled Juanjuan and walked upstairs.
"Brother, that little brother will be fine!" Juanjuan walked upstairs with her short legs, holding her hand.
"Yes, he will be fine with dad, uncle and grandma here." Si Jinchen smiled and took her to his room to play.
The leading man outside the Governor's Mansion hesitated for a long time: "Even if you are the Governor, you can't openly compete with them for people."
As he spoke, he knocked on the door of the Governor's Mansion.
The housekeeper seemed quite calm when he saw the group of people: "Who are you looking for?"
"I'm sorry, one of the children we bought seems to have fallen into the yard. Could you please help us get him out?" The leading man said with a smile.
"Do you know where this place is?" The butler looked a little displeased.
"I know, but we bought this person with our own money. Even the governor can't snatch him from us, right?" the leading man said stiffly.
"It's just a child bought to be a slave. You put such a hat on him. Do you want our Governor's Office to apologize to you or something?"
Si Tian was pushed out.
"Second Master, we have a solution. You know the rules of this business. Since she was sold into our courtyard by her family, she can only be a member of our courtyard."
"If we can't find this person, we won't be able to explain when we go back." The leader naturally knew Si Tian.
Si Tian adjusted the blanket covering his legs and said, "I won't make things difficult for you. This child seems to be quite appealing to me. How much is it? Just name a price and I'll buy it."
"I'm afraid this is against the rules." The leading man was a little embarrassed.
"She's not a girl who receives guests. Are you reluctant to give up a child?" Si Tian's voice was a little displeased.
"That's not the case. It's just that this sets a precedent. All the children in this building will have to run outside in the future. It's quite difficult for us." The leader expressed his concerns.
"I thought it was nothing serious. You can just go back and say that he died outside. Who will remember what he looked like?" Si Tian looked at him and said.
"Okay, I'll go back and tell my mother to bring the child's indenture contract." The leading man didn't want to offend the Governor's Mansion.
Since they are willing to spend money to buy it, just buy it. It is not difficult for a child from a poor family to buy it.
The housekeeper waited until they left before coming over to Si Tian and asking, "Second Master, are you really going to buy this child?"
"I have a use for this child." Si Tian didn't expect that when he said he was going to find a child today, the child would come to him by himself.
"Go call Weng Jin to come and check on this child. I think he is seriously injured." He instructed the housekeeper.
The housekeeper nodded and went to make a phone call: "Second Master, do you want to ask Doctor Huai to come over and take a look?"
"Call them all over. If the child has a fever, he might need an injection." Si Tian said and walked towards the living room.
"Has the person left?" Siming watched him come in.
"I asked him to get the indenture contract." Si Tian saw that the child was gone.
Madam Si sighed: "The people in this building are very ruthless. I asked Jiang Ze to carry him back to his room."
"Boys only suffer physical pain, but girls have to suffer more." Si Tian said and stopped talking.
Doctor Huai and Weng Jin were picked up by a vintage car carrying medicine boxes. After greeting a few people, they went to check on the child in the room.
Weng Jin used scissors to cut open the child's clothes. Some of the wounds were stuck to the clothes, and the wounds were torn when he pulled them apart.
The child lying on the bed immediately opened his eyes and tried to break free and run away.
Siming looked at him with eyes like a little wolf cub, but he was quite stubborn: "Don't move, I will treat your wound, otherwise you will die."
The child turned his head to look at the environment and really stopped moving. Even the pain from the torn wound made him lie there motionless.
Si Tian saw the whole thing, this kid is quite patient.
Weng Jin noticed that some of the wounds had become inflamed: "Some parts of the wounds are inflamed."
Doctor Huai took a look and nodded: "Doctor Weng, please give this child an anti-inflammatory injection."
"Sulfa drugs are in urgent need now." He said and looked at Siming.
These medicines were to be saved for brothers with infected gunshot wounds. He didn't dare to make a decision if they were to be used on a child.
"Give him anti-inflammatory treatment first, and we'll think of a way to deal with the medicine later." Siming looked at him and said.
"Yes!" Weng Jin took out the syringe and medicine from the medicine box without hesitation and prepared to give the child an injection.
"I, I don't need an injection, I can handle it myself." The child has been listening to the conversation between the three people.
"Now is not the time for you to show off." Si Ming looked at him and gestured to Weng Jin to give him an injection.
Weng Jin unzipped his pants and said, "It may hurt a little, but bear with it." Then he took out some alcohol to disinfect him and stuck the syringe into his butt.
The boy was a little nervous at first, but after the needle was inserted, he found that it was much lighter than he had imagined.
It's not as painful as the wounds from the whip.
Doctor Huai was also preparing Chinese medicine on the side. After the wound was cleaned, he would apply the medicine to him.
The housekeeper walked over to Si Tian and whispered a few words in his ear.
Si Tian turned around and left the room, and was pushed to the front door by the housekeeper.
The leading man stood at the gate, hunching his neck and stamping his feet in the cold. "Second Master, I've got the indenture for you. This child was bought for five dollars."
"Just give me five dollars." He said as he handed a piece of paper to the door.
The housekeeper took the indenture and handed it to Si Tian.
Si Tian looked at the name on it: Ma San. "Butler, give him eight dollars. The remaining three dollars is for your hard work. I'll make you make this trip in such cold weather."
"Brothers, let's go have a drink!"
The leader immediately laughed. You know, he only earned two dollars a month now, but now he could earn three dollars by running errands.
"Thank you, Second Master. If you need me in the future, just let me know."
"Go back!" Si Tian waved at him.
The leading man walked back with a much lighter step. After reporting his mission, he called his brothers and went out for a drink.
After Weng Jin disinfected the child, he asked Doctor Huai to apply medicine.
Western medicines are all imported now. It’s not that we are reluctant to use them on Ma San, but there really aren’t many of them.
"Commander-in-Chief, the hospital is short of anti-inflammatory drugs right now. Can you talk to the General Administration of Customs and find a solution?"
Weng Jin stepped aside and talked to Siming about the current situation in the hospital.
"I see. I'll talk to him about this when I go to the banquet tomorrow. You've worked hard today. I'll send a car to take you home."
Sima Ming asked the housekeeper to send a car to take Weng Jin back first, as he could not help here.
Doctor Huai asked Ma San to sleep first, as he needed to boil the anti-inflammatory medicine again, which would take some time.
