Chapter 4 Project Leader

Chapter 4 Project Leader

Xu Mo didn't expect to meet Lin Jingchuan in such an occasion.

Although they attended the same school, Lin Jingchuan was three years older than her, so she was not familiar with Lin Jingchuan.

I just saw it by chance at an event held by the photography club.

She still remembers that day when she accidentally took the wrong schoolbag with someone else, and her cell phone and ID card were in it. She was very anxious.

I borrowed someone else's cell phone to call Zhao Tingyu, but the line was busy.

She had just started college at the time and was very panicked when something happened. Lin Jingchuan came over and asked her what was wrong.

After she finished explaining the situation incoherently, Lin Jingchuan nodded and went to make a phone call somewhere else, then told her to just stand there and wait.

Then he left, and fifteen minutes later, the person who took the wrong bag came over.

Xu Mo didn't know he was Lin Jingchuan at the time until she accidentally saw an article about outstanding graduates pushed by the school's official account, and then she knew his name.

It is not appropriate to recognize senior and junior colleagues in the workplace. Xu Mo maintained her professionalism and took shorthand notes of the communication between Manager Wu and Lin Jingchuan.

Shorthand is not a diary, but a summary of the main points of the speech.

The difficulty depends on the interviewee's Mandarin proficiency and logical thinking ability.

Lin Jingchuan spoke very logically, so it was not difficult for Xu Mo to remember.

"What do you think are the biggest management problems and difficulties your company is currently facing?"

"Manager Wu, your question is a bit broad." Lin Jingchuan smiled slightly. "Landa Group is a large national group with 500 factories in China. We are in the agricultural sector, and our customers are actually farmers raising fish, shrimp, pigs, and poultry. We actually provide comprehensive farming solutions. Our products have non-standard characteristics, so the problems and difficulties faced by each factory are different. This is why we came to you."

Xu Mo bolded the word "non-standard".

Manager Wu obviously realized that his understanding of the Landa Group was a little shallow, and wrote down the key points.

She nodded and said to Lin Jingchuan, "I understand. Next, we will conduct a detailed investigation in representative factories in each region. Mr. Lin, I'll add you on WeChat. If you have any questions, we can communicate in time."

Lin Jingchuan took out his mobile phone and Manager Wu scanned the code. Seeing that Lin Jingchuan had not put his phone back yet, he thought that he thought he had not scanned it.

Manager Wu reminded him: "Boss Lin, I have sent the request, please approve it."

Lin Jingchuan's gaze fell on Xu Mo, who was sitting beside her and taking notes.

"Is this the project manager?"

Xu Mo slowly raised her head, pursed her lips and looked at Manager Wu nervously.

Manager Wu nodded quickly. "Yes, this is Xu Mo. She graduated from the Management Department of Huazhong University. She has experience in many similar large-scale group management consulting projects. I sent you her resume before."

Xu Mo had no choice but to stand up and said, "Hello, Mr. Lin."

She had light makeup on her face, blush on her fair skin, and wore a light beige OL-style casual suit.

Her collarbone was clearly visible, and she wore a silver pink mother-of-pearl pendant around her neck.

Although she was exquisite and beautiful, her aura was much weaker than that in school.

I don’t know whether it’s the pain of love or the pain of work.

Lin Jingchuan calmly withdrew his gaze.

Seeing that Lin Jingchuan hadn't put away the WeChat QR code, Manager Wu thought for a moment and said to Xu Mo, "Xu Mo, add Mr. Lin on WeChat too. It will be easier to communicate in the future."

Xu Mo quickly took out her phone: "Okay, Mr. Lin, I'll scan you."

-

"Are you really breaking up?" Liao Haizhou looked at Zhao Tingyu, who was curled up in the corner of the sofa with a dull expression, in disbelief. "Tingyu, are you serious? That's Xu Mo, the Xu Mo who has been with you for eight years."

Zhao Tingyu remained silent, his eyelids drooped, his lips slightly pursed, and his hands casually placed on the sofa, making it impossible to tell the expression on his face.

"When your family was in trouble in high school, who was the one who stayed with you through the most difficult time?" Liao Haizhou said. "It was Xu Mo. I still remember that she was afraid you would become depressed, so she always followed you to and from school, like your little tail. When you went to the internet cafe to play games, she would go too. You played games while she studied. We brothers were all shocked at the time."

"I later asked my wife if she could also accompany me to the Internet cafe like Xu Mo did, and she gave me a big slap on the backhand—"

"Zhao Tingyu, Xu Mo is just too good to you. She spoils you like this."

I don’t know what he heard, but Zhao Tingyu’s brows gradually furrowed deeper and deeper.

"She's good to me, so why shouldn't I be good to her?"

Zhao Tingyu said, "What do I not buy her? What restaurant does she usually go to for dinner, and I don't accompany her?"

"All you gave her were material things." Liao Haizhou looked at him helplessly, "But do you think Xu Mo is short of money? She comes from a well-off family, graduated from Huazhong University, and now works for a consulting firm..."

Zhao Tingyu's expression turned slightly cold when he heard the last few words: "Yeah. She's just busy with work."

Scratching his head, Liao Haizhou said, "What I mean is, if you have any conflicts with Xu Mo, you should actively communicate with her, otherwise she won't know what you are thinking and may misunderstand you..."

Zhao Tingyu didn't listen to him finish and walked out the door: "She was the one who proposed the breakup, not me."

Liao Haizhou looked at the door that he slammed shut and patted the sofa.

"Who cares what he does! I really don't care about anything else!"

Zhao Tingyu returned home, opened the door, and saw the simple and clean furnishings in the house. He was dazed for a moment.

All traces of Xu Mo seemed to have disappeared completely in an instant.

Her donut-shaped mug, the puff blanket on the sofa, the hats, necklaces and ear clips randomly placed on the sideboard.

It was as if she had never been here.

His shoulders sank and Zhao Tingyu closed his eyes, trying to soothe the inexplicable emotions that were about to surge up.

He went to take a shower.

After coming out, he went into the bedroom and opened the wardrobe to search.

In fact, the pajamas he wanted to wear were on the outermost layer, but he seemed to be obsessed with finding something, and he tried hard to dig through the pile of dark clothes.

About half an hour later.

He found a Polaroid camera at the bottom of the closet.

The Polaroid photo contained a photo of Xu Mo and him. Xu Mo was holding a cake and happily leaning on his shoulder. The background wall read: HAPPY BIRTHDAY.

It was the year Xu Mo just started college. She went to his city during the National Day to visit him and celebrate his birthday with him. The two of them took a photo together.

Zhao Tingyu looked at the photo and his expression softened a little.

He paced around the living room for another half hour.

Zhao Tingyu found Xu Mo’s WeChat and sent her a message: You still have a Polaroid camera.

The message was not sent.

A dialog box popped up with a glaring red exclamation mark.

The other party is no longer your WeChat friend and the message you sent has been rejected by the other party.
