Chapter 55 Good Things
The project entered its final stage. Xu Mo spent the entire morning working on the report and only arrived downstairs at the company to have lunch around 1:00 p.m.
There were not many people in the fast food restaurant at that time. Xu Mo found a corner and sat down. While waiting for the food to be served, she lowered her eyes and looked at her mobile phone. Her finger stayed on the WeChat dialog box interface, just above the keyboard.

Two weeks have passed since the interview. The interviewer told her that he would inform her of the interview result within two weeks, but now there is no news.

Han Yan placed the order: "Then I'll have another serving of pork liver and stir-fried green beans with meat."
Xu Mo asked: "Do you come to this store often?"
"Yes." Han Yan placed the order and put her phone on the table. "I like spicy food just like you."
Xu Mo smiled and said, "Ah, you found out."
Han Yan poured her tea and said as she poured the tea: "Of course, you are the first senior consultant I have brought in. It means a lot."
Xu Mo raised her eyebrows: "Aren't they Cheng Ming, Wu Siyue and Zou Kexin?"
"They're different," Han Yan said. "Your abilities are obvious to everyone, and Manager Wu always praises you to me."

Han Yan said, "The institute has been laying off staff non-stop since the beginning of the year. I heard there's going to be a major wave of layoffs on June 30th. Think about it, who's most at risk during layoffs? Of course, those without projects are the most at risk."
Xu Mo had heard this many times, but it was always from people of the same or lower rank, so it wasn't very credible. But when it came out of Han Yan's mouth, it was different.

The waiter came to serve the food and Xu Mo brought a spoon to Han Yan.

Xu Mo thought, if I stay vigilant, I won't be laid off. It's all based on the boss's preferences.
She nodded but didn't say anything. Han Yan continued to say some anxiety-inducing words. She didn't listen much, but suddenly, her phone vibrated.
When Xu Mo saw the name jumping on the screen, her heart suddenly started beating fast.
Headhunter Alex: [Ms. Xu, I'm about to call you. Is it free for you now? [Smile]]
Han Yan was telling Xu Mo about the last meeting, saying that the partners in the firm were scolded by the head of the South District, in order to exaggerate the severity of the situation. After saying that, she pulled out the chair and left.
Han Yan looked at the three dishes and one soup on the table, which were basically untouched, and fell into deep thought.
Xu Mo ran to the garden square downstairs with her cell phone in hand. She found a quiet place and called Alex.
The voice on the other end was cheerful: "Ms. Xu, congratulations on passing the interview."
Xu Mo felt her hands trembling slightly. She hadn't felt so happy in a long time.
Passing the interview was of great significance to her. Lin Jingchuan returned home early in the evening. As soon as he entered the door, a faint fragrance wafted from the kitchen.
A faint smile appeared on the corner of his lips. He changed into slippers and walked into the kitchen. Through the glass door, he saw Xu Mo wearing an apron, looking at the casserole intently, and seemed to be in a good mood.
After stewing for a long enough time, Xu Mo picked up a spoon and tasted the stew. The aroma was so fragrant that she nodded with satisfaction.
Suddenly, a pair of hands covered her waist. Xu Mo tilted her head and almost bumped into the man's tall nose. She found herself being hugged by Lin Jingchuan from behind.
"Why are you in the mood to go home and cook today?" He asked in a low voice in her ear with a smile on his lips.
