Chapter 31 Fearless People
In the brightly lit living room.
No one was cleaning up the broken glass shards. Shi Qingci carefully avoided the area and led the drunken man towards the bedroom, trying to get him to sleep.
Cheng Jia was quite strong; it was hard to tell that she had been starving for a long time.
He was being held from behind by Shi Qingci, and with his legs still strong, he leaped up and kicked the wall hard: "Ugh, let go! Let go of me!"
It was as if she were being held by some heinous villain.
The kind of struggle that leaves no stone unturned.
"Cheng Jia!" Shi Qingci's voice was low and angry, yet also contained a hint of helplessness, "Look carefully at who I am... Don't cause any more trouble."
Cheng Jia got drunk once or twice when she was in college.
I was drunk at the time, and he took me back to my dorm to sleep.
It's very quiet, not so noisy.
Shi Qingci still remembers how Cheng Jia lay beside him with his eyes closed after getting drunk. He was so obedient and well-behaved, even opening and closing his mouth to drink water as instructed. He trusted him completely and was completely unguarded.
But five years have passed—
When Cheng Jia was drunk, he wouldn't let anyone get close.
The Qing dynasty porcelain makers tried to understand how this change occurred.
The person in his arms launched another attack.
"I don't fucking care who you are! Let go—" Cheng Jia grabbed the arms around his waist with both hands and struggled desperately.
He had no idea who was holding him at that moment.
Cheng Jia only knew how to resist, his head tilting back haphazardly.
The first time her ear brushed against Qingci's cheek.
The second time, it hit Shi Qingci's nose bridge!
"Ugh." Shi Qingci gasped in pain, feeling a rush of blood to her nose.
He could not recall ever being beaten by anyone before; this was the first time.
Cheng Jia made my nose bleed.
Amidst the chaos, Shi Qingci finally lost her temper: "Enough!"
His head and nose ached, and he was almost completely exhausted. He wrapped his arms around Cheng Jia's waist and pressed her against the corridor wall, using all four limbs to finally subdue the drunkard.
When Cheng Jia is drunk, he is incredibly strong.
Shi Qingci raised her hand to cover her bleeding nose, her breathing labored.
"What exactly do you want, Cheng Jia?"
“...Go home,” Cheng Jia said clearly from beginning to end. His cheek was pressed tightly against the cold wall behind him. His mind cleared for a moment, and he closed his eyes and said breathlessly, “I, I want to go home.”
But it was almost dawn.
After all that fuss, Shi Qingci was exhausted: "You sleep in the bedroom and I'll sleep on the sofa, shall we make do for the night?"
This is the biggest concession he can make.
Let Cheng Jia sleep in the big bed in the bedroom.
“No, I want to go home,” Cheng Jia said.
"......"
At that moment, many irritable thoughts flashed through Shi Qingci's mind.
For example, you could use a few ties to tie the drunkard's hands and feet together.
But he knew Cheng Jia fairly well. Cheng Jia was a fool who would fight to the death. If pushed to the limit, he would break his wrist to escape and wouldn't let Cheng Jia control him.
There was a silence that lasted for almost half a minute.
Shi Qingci discovered that the bottom line could be lowered again and again for this person.
He asked, "Where do you live?"
They were truly at their wits' end after being tormented like this.
"...It's at No. 39, Hulu Lane, Fengtong Community, on the third floor." Cheng Jia stared blankly at the wall, remembering the address clearly, as he always told people when he was drunk.
They can actually explain it in detail.
Shi Qingci gritted her teeth and cursed, "Damn it."
Suddenly, he got up and grabbed Cheng Jia fiercely, dragging her towards the bedroom.
"!" Cheng Jia stumbled as he dragged her along. "Ugh, slow down, where are you taking me? I don't want to go..."
"Can't I just change my clothes?!" Shi Qingci yelled at Cheng Jia as she turned her head.
Cheng Jia's facade of composure and refinement was shattered; his cold, sharp eyes were full of fire, finally making him less lifeless and giving him the appearance of a young man who had just turned 24.
There was nothing he could do; he was the one who hired the person.
If he can't hold him down, he'll have to send him back.
While changing clothes, Cheng Jia was thrown onto the dressing room floor by Shi Qingci.
Shi Qingci quickly treated the injury to his nasal cavity, and the bleeding stopped. He changed his clothes in front of Cheng Jia without any hesitation, and pulled off the black bathrobe, revealing that he was only wearing underwear underneath.
Black boxer shorts.
Cheng Jia leaned against the wardrobe, looking up so that she could just see the mass in front of her.
He didn't say anything, just stared blankly.
"Is it pretty?" Shi Qingci was about to laugh at this person's antics.
A person who becomes so reckless and fearless when drunk that they are oblivious to their own danger.
She opened the closet and took out a white sweater and a pair of dark blue jeans.
Shi Qingci was putting on a sweater when the person at his feet touched his bare calf muscles with their fingertips. Cheng Jia said blankly, "So big."
"......"
Shi Qingci stopped putting on her sweater.
His eyes suddenly darkened, and he looked down at Cheng Jia's drunken face, staring at it for a few seconds.
He asked Cheng Jia, "What did you say?"
“…Here,” Cheng Jia rubbed the man’s calf muscles with his thumb and pinched them, “Dude, you’re really good at this, it’s a solid, hard lump.”
"......"
Things that aren't afraid of death.
Shi Qingci licked her dry lips.
After much restraint, he moved his leg to avoid Cheng Jia's hand.
He scrutinized Cheng Jia from head to toe with a burning gaze that seemed to want to devour him.
Finally, he looked away and put on his sweater, saying, "You should be glad you were covered in alcohol and hadn't showered; it saved you from a disaster."
Turn your back and put your pants on.
I won't let Cheng Jia see it.
"......"
Disoriented, Cheng Jia couldn't understand what calamity meant.
All I know is that I can go home.
Yay!
