"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have yelled at you. Please be nicer."
Song Xianqing started crying. With Si Yuan around, he became shameless.
The man's lips twitched slightly, but the thought of the bottles and jars outside made him reluctant to leave. This was a rare opportunity, and he wanted to see what they were.
Nan Yu coaxed Song Xianqing for a while before he stopped, but he was still very hostile towards Si Yuan, his eyes filled with daggers. The boy pointed directly at the man and said, "Let him go!"
"Young man, what have I done to offend you?"
Si Yuan racked his brains but couldn't figure out what he had done to offend him. He was given a cold shoulder every time they met, and when Si Yuan tried to help him with his medical treatment, the man chased him away.
Nan Yu didn't understand either.
Song Xianqing: "Who gave you permission to come to my house and provoke my wife..."
This time it was Dengxin's turn to cover her mouth. What kind of nice address could Song Xianqing possibly come up with with that lousy mouth? Nan Yu chuckled dryly at Si Yuan: "Thank you. You haven't eaten yet, have you? Why don't you stay for lunch?"
He was being very polite.
Si Yuanzhen nodded.
Nan Yu: "Then I'll go buy groceries. You two stay home." She gave Song Xianqing a warning look: "Don't talk nonsense!"
Si Yuan: "Be careful on the road."
Song Xianqing wanted to go with them, but there was a stranger in the house, so she couldn't leave.
He could only hold his breath and watch the boy leave.
Si Yuan went to the living room to check the contents of the jars. Song Xianqing came over, slapped the man's hand away, and said with displeasure, "Didn't anyone teach you not to touch other people's things?"
Si Yuan calmly said, "Just take a look, sorry."
Song Xianqing sneered: "There are king cobras inside, want to see them?"
The man's expression changed slightly, but he quickly recovered and said indifferently, "Don't joke around. King cobras are highly venomous. How can you keep one at home?"
The boy crossed his arms, glanced down at the silver ring around his neck, and casually flicked his fingers, making a barely audible sound. Soon, snakes filled the cracks in the stilted house wall and climbed up the wooden sticks to the second floor.
Si Yuan faintly heard a hissing sound.
Immediately on alert, Song Xianqing hooked a chair with her foot, lazily sat down, crossed her legs, and looked out the window at the swaying leaves. Si Yuan frowned, vaguely sensing something was wrong, and wanted to go out.
Upon opening the door, he was horrified to see snakes everywhere. His pupils constricted in terror, and he quickly slammed the door shut. In the process, he managed to trap one snake's head. To prevent the snake from getting in, he had to push against it with all his might, until the snake's head was severed and it died.
His heart was racing, and he hadn't even had time to catch his breath.
Many more climbed in through the window.
Si Yuan looked at Song Xianqing and saw the young man leaning back in his chair, sitting still. His heart sank, and his voice was icy: "What do you want to do?"
Song Xianqing rested his elbows on the armrests of the chair, propped his head up with his hands, and glanced sideways as he said, "I told you, there are snakes."
As the snakes approached him, though they were all non-venomous, their sight was terrifying. Si Yuan clenched his fists nervously, "Murder is illegal!"
"If you fall off the mountain on your own, what does that have to do with me?"
Song Xianqing played with the little silver snake's tail, his playful smile gone from his face in front of Nan Yu. He looked at Si Yuan with a dangerous glint in his eyes.
Si Yuan's face was grim. It seemed that the other party could control snakes and insects. Since he had no weapons, he could only remain unchanged and wait for the situation to change: "I don't think I have offended you."
Why did you stay for dinner?
"I was invited."
Song Xianqing: "You'll stay just because I tell you to? I'll tell you to die, then die."
Si Yuan: ...
Song Xianqing just wants men to die!
He doesn't allow any potential rivals to exist!
A flute melody came from outside. The snake seemed startled and scurried away. Song Xianqing's eyes turned cold. One second he was sitting in a chair, and the next he appeared in front of the man. Si Yuan was also wary of him.
The boy approached, and the man blocked his attack with his arm.
Taking advantage of his unpreparedness, Song Xianqing chopped the man unconscious with a karate chop, threw him aside, opened the door and went out, his steps carrying a gust of angry wind. Standing at the courtyard gate was a girl in purple with silver bells hanging from her ear. She was fair-skinned and beautiful, with a face like peach blossoms, and her slender fingers held a bamboo flute.
What appeared was Song Xianqing with her willow-leaf eyebrows slightly furrowed.
As she approached, Song Xianqing quickly descended the steps, his face dark as he stood before Liu Pianpian. He immediately questioned her, showing no mercy whatsoever: "Is it polite to play the flute in someone else's house?"
Liu Pianpian explained:
“I saw a lot of snakes crawling around Brother Yu’s house. There are tourists outside, and the High Priest doesn’t allow us to do this because it will frighten them. Where is Brother Yu?”
Song Xianqing wished he could twist the girl's head and kick it like a football!
Brother Yu, Brother Yu, you're thinking about everyone!
The boy's eyes were too sinister, and Liu Pianpian was so frightened that cold sweat broke out on her back. Her goodwill towards him diminished somewhat, and her voice stammered, "Xian, Brother Xianqing, I'm looking for Brother Yu..."
Song Xianqing: "What do you mean 'xian'? Who's your brother! Liu Yu isn't here!"
His tone was particularly aggressive.
Even a girl with thin skin would probably cry from hearing him talk.
Liu Pianpian's face also turned pale, and her hands, which were at her sides, clenched slightly. "Where...where did Brother Yu go?"
Song Xianqing: "Dead!"
Liu Pianpian was frightened by the boy's attitude, her almond-shaped eyes filled with tears: "What are you doing? Who offended you? Why are you talking so rudely? I'm looking for Brother Yu, what's it to you?"
Song Xianqing: "I have no manners, are you going to get lost or not?"
Liu Pianpian was so angry that her hand holding the flute was trembling. She had given him a parrot at the beginning, but now he was speaking ill of her. How could people be so fickle?
"You! Were you the one who got those snakes? I'm going to tell the high priest! And I'll tell the chieftain!"
Song Xianqing sneered.
Liu Pianpian's threat had no effect on him.
The girl left in anger.
Nan Yu was worried that something might happen to the two of them at home, so she went to buy groceries and returned quickly. On the way, she ran into Liu Pianpian, who was crying.
He didn't intend to pay any attention.
When Liu Pianpian saw him, she took the initiative to come over.
Nan Yu wanted to avoid her, but he didn't want to be too obvious. Liu Pianpian wiped away her tears and complained, "Brother Yu, what are you doing here? Song Xianqing is at your house."
The lamp wick was taken aback. How did she know?
"You went?"
Liu Pianpian nodded. "I need to talk to you about something. He came down and gave me a good scolding. It wasn't really my fault. He was using witchcraft in your house, and the walls are covered with snakes. Although there aren't many tourists there, what if something goes wrong? How will you explain it? Brother Yu, Song Xianqing is so annoying. You have to be careful of him."
The girl completely lost interest in Song Xianqing.
What's the use of being handsome if you're rude?
Nan Yu's eyes twitched as she listened, and she grasped the key point: the wall panels were covered with snakes? "He's using snakes?"
Liu Pianpian nodded:
“There were at least a hundred of them. I just chased them away, and Song Xianqing started cursing. I asked him where he went, and guess what he said?”
The wick was pounding with anxiety: "What do you mean?"
Liu Pianpian said angrily, "He said you were dead, he cursed you to die, Brother Yu, look how wicked he is!"
Nan Yu's face also darkened. "He really said that?"
Liu Pianpian: "I'd be a dog if I were lying to you."
The lamp wick asked, "What do you want from me?"
The anger on Liu Pianpian's face subsided somewhat. She touched her face, making small gestures for several seconds before sighing softly and saying, "Thank you, Brother Yu, for this competition. I couldn't lose. Can you understand?"
