Unless they gain the approval of the group, even if it is a member of the same species that accidentally trespasses, the consequences are very serious, let alone other species.
The wolves in the snow have a much stronger desire for meat than humans imagine; they are not like the wolves in Hoh Xil that eat egg yolk pies.
This migrating pack consists of thirty wolves.
Not every wolf will show goodwill because of the wolf king; at least most of them will show a fierce look to Nan Yu, baring their teeth and bending their claws, ready to attack at any moment.
"We've been walking for most of the day and haven't seen a single rabbit. Now that prey has finally come to us, we can't even eat it. Are we going to go hungry today?"
"He looks like one of our own kind."
As soon as he finished speaking, many wolves looked more and more like him. They didn't smell like their own kind, but they did look like him. Little Lampwick's body was dirty, and its fur color was similar to that of a wolf. At first glance, it did look like a wolf cub.
A pack of wolves chattered like birds.
The wolf king, annoyed, snapped coldly, "Shut up!"
The wolf pack fell silent; they dared not challenge the authority of the wolf king.
After resting for a while, the wolf pack began to stir. They were already on their way to migrate, and since they hadn't yet found any food, they couldn't stay any longer.
The wolf king also wouldn't allow the team to stay in one place for too long.
So I asked the little wick, "Can you get up and walk?"
Nan Yu tried to stand up. The wolf that bit his leg probably really wanted to eat meat. It could have torn his leg apart with a little force. Fortunately, the wolf king stopped it in time and only bit a few holes.
He stood up, walking with a slight limp.
My first time being a dog.
I'm still not used to being on all fours.
As I walked, I even started to walk with the same footing as the other way around.
The wolf king's migration locations were distributed as follows: the first group consisted of Lao Can. Although Deng Xin was a dog, he was injured and could be considered slightly disabled. The wolf king sent him to the first group, but due to his leg injury and his unfamiliarity with walking on all fours, he gradually fell to the back.
Given his size, he could actually be in the same group as the cubs, but the cubs are an important protected species for the group, and he, being an outsider, is not at ease with them.
Gradually, it stood side by side with the wolf king.
The wolf king glanced at him, and its disdainful gaze made the little husky uncomfortable. His wounds ached, and he slowed his pace, eventually falling behind the wolf king.
They showed no sign of turning back.
The lamp wick thought they wouldn't care about him anymore.
He simply lay down and licked his wounds. Suddenly, a shadow fell over him. He looked up and saw the wolf king. Seeing that he hadn't kept up, the wolf king ordered the group to stop and turn back.
"What are you doing?" the wolf king asked coldly.
Little Lampwick's leg hurt, and she felt inexplicably wronged, so she continued to lick her wound.
The wolf king stared at him for a while, then stepped forward. Its body was too huge and it looked too fierce. It looked like it was going to eat him when it got close. Little Lampwick curled up to avoid being attacked in the abdomen.
Helpless, the wolf king went over and licked Little Lampwick's wounds a couple of times, speaking as seriously and coldly as ever, "Get up."
His legs hurt, he didn't want to get up, and he didn't want to walk anymore.
The wolf king repeated, "Get up."
Nan Yucai sobbed, "My legs hurt."
The wolf king stared at him for two seconds, then, helpless, knelt down and said, "Get on."
The little lamp wick, curled up in the snow, raised its head and saw the wolf king lying down to let it ride on its back. It felt that this wolf was not as fierce as it had imagined. Its legs hurt, and its back looked quite sturdy.
It moved its paw.
The dog stood up shakily, lay down on the wolf king, found a position, with its head on the wolf king's back and its legs tightly clamped together. The wolf king was silent for two seconds and then said, "Let go in time when you encounter prey, otherwise I'll throw you off, and don't cry."
Nan Yu: "Mmm."
I'd never ridden a horse or a wolf before, so this was a very novel experience.
The wolf king was carrying a little husky on his back, causing a stir among the pack. Some even suspected that the wolf-like creature was the wolf king's child. In fact, according to human calculations, Nan Yu was already an adult.
A husky's one and a half years old is roughly equivalent to a human's twenty years old. Its bones develop slowly, and it cannot eat its fill every day, so it looks thin and small, only half the size of a wolf.
It took about five minutes to walk.
The system activated its golden command, and a lone American bison appeared in their field of vision. The wolf king immediately put down the small lamp wick and began a tactical hunt, commanding the pack, while the mother wolf protected the cubs.
The wolf king was worried about Little Lampwick.
Let's just leave him with the cubs too.
The bison became agitated when being chased. It was the first time Nan Yu had experienced the oppressive feeling of being hunted by animals. Surrounded by wolves, the bison was many times larger than them. After half an hour of encirclement, pursuit and biting, the bison finally fell to the ground.
In the wolf pack, there is a hierarchy, with the wolf king and his mate taking priority.
But their king is still a lone wolf. Once the wolf king has eaten his fill, it's the other wolves' turn to eat. This has always been the case.
But today, the wolf king stepped forward to the foreign creature he had picked up and said, "Go and eat."
The other wolves were all shocked.
The little lamp wick's stomach was growling with hunger.
His animal instincts made him unafraid of raw meat.
Following the wolf king to the buffalo, it seemed that the buffalo's teeth were not very good and it could not chew the skin. So the wolf king tore the prey apart and chose the tenderest piece of meat for Nan Yu.
Some wolves suspected this was the next wolf king, while others suspected it was a wolf cub, but the possibility was slim, as the wolf cub could only be eaten after the wolf king and his wife had finished.
Only the queen can eat with the wolf king.
The little lamp wick chewed and swallowed.
He bit into the meat and got blood on his nose, so he went to the wolf king, raised his tail and rubbed against him, patted the bison with his paws, and said obsequiously, "Boss, give me a piece of meat."
The wolf king glanced at him and tore off another piece of meat for Nan Yu.
The little wick was very satisfied with its food.
The wolf king doesn't eat until he's 100% full. Once he's sure he can keep up with the food for the next battle, he leaves the food for the other wolves. Among them, Little Lantern is probably the one who ate the most.
Once he's full, he doesn't want to move.
He lay down on the melting haystack, seemingly a little indigestion. He rolled over, exposing his belly, with his four paws in the air. The husky still values its privacy.
He covered his rear end with his tail, yawned, and stretched.
Seeing that there was no danger around, the wolf king came to Little Lampwick's side and licked his fur. The social relationships among wolves are very complex. Often, it is the wolf queen who licks the wolf king's fur to show obedience and respect.
The wolf king licked the fur of a foreigner.
The ethnic groups still have objections.
But no one dared to step forward and say anything, because they would really be taught a lesson.
The wolf king licked a few times, then withdrew his tongue and found a place to rest. Little Lampwick eagerly moved closer, bringing his face close to the wolf king's and licking his eyes. The wolf king remained indifferent and unmoved, while Little Lampwick wagged his tail happily.
He likes this type of person; they look aloof and indifferent to everyone.
After grooming the fur around its eyes, it rubbed its ears against them, then licked its lips, opening its mouth wide to try and cover the wolf king's mouth. Just as it opened its mouth, before it could bite, the wolf king pulled back.
His eyes were unfriendly. "What are you doing?"
The little husky, not liking the wolf king's fierceness, wagged its tail and chuckled, bringing its face close to the wolf king's. As long as it was close enough, the wolf king couldn't see it, and as long as it couldn't see the wolf king, it wouldn't be afraid.
The wolf king was forced to stand up.
