"Like the great plagues that have occurred in human history, they will never disappear; we can only find ways to defeat them."
The assistant pushed open a thick white door and smiled at Zhao Xiaoxiu, saying, "The director is inside. You can go in by yourself."
"Thank you." Zhao Xiaoxiu smiled politely, and with a hint of curiosity, stepped into the sunlit glass room.
The room was filled with long tables, each covered with bottles and jars, and in the corners were planting pots filled with soil.
Zhao Xiaoxiu immediately spotted the mutated Emerald Pearl Flower and the Green Fairy branch that she had brought from her own home.
These mutated plants were well cared for by Yang Mei, and the flowers on the branches of the Green Fairy were vibrant and beautiful.
In the laboratory at the far end of the glass room, Yang Mei was working against the clock. Encased in thick protective gear, only her eyes were visible. When she saw Zhao Xiaoxiu slowly walking towards her from the greenhouse, her eyes lit up.
She didn't leave the lab, but through the window reminded Zhao Xiaoxiu to take down the phone by the door so they could communicate.
"Why are you here?" Yang Mei asked with delight.
Zhao Xiaoxiu stood under the door, holding the phone, and looked up at Yang Mei, who was beaming with joy, through the window, saying, "A bounty hunter wants to hunt me."
One sentence was enough to make Yang Mei frown deeply; it must be because of what happened between Steven and the Green Field Alliance last time.
"I understand, don't worry," Yang Mei said, bowing her head.
She looked expectantly at the little one in front of the door, wanting to share some good news with her, but not quite knowing how to start.
Fortunately, Zhao Xiaoxiu pointed to the things in her lab and asked curiously, "Aunt Yang Mei, what are you doing?"
Yang Mei followed up on her question and answered, "I was making flower tea. I dried the Grade A mutated fresh flowers that I picked from the Green Fairy and used them to make tea. Guess what happened next?"
Zhao Xiaoxiu opened her mouth slightly in surprise, "You made dried flowers to make tea?"
When she traded fresh flowers for chicks with Wenfei, she didn't believe Wenfei when she asked Wenfei to dry the flowers and make flower tea.
After her failed attempt to plant the flowers, they withered and she buried them in the soil as fertilizer.
Yang Mei thought to herself, "As expected, she knew."
“I drank flower tea,” Yang Mei said, staring at Zhao Xiaoxiu to see her reaction.
The little boy looked up expectantly and asked, "Is it delicious?"
Yang Mei was taken aback, then smiled faintly and nodded, "It tastes good, and drinking it didn't trigger the virus in my body to go berserk and turn me into a ghost."
"You really drank it?" Hearing this, Zhao Xiaoxiu realized that the woman in front of her was not joking; she really had drunk the tea made with the petals of an A-grade mutated plant.
Yang Mei gestured for her to wait a moment, got up and returned to the lab bench, picked up the tablet and walked back to show Zhao Xiaoxiu a video.
The video shows the test results for a lily and a rose.
Zhao Xiaoxiu recognized the lilies very well. They were the first bouquet that Youyou wanted to bring back for his mother, and the first flowers that bloomed after the Green Fairy settled in her house.
The rose must have been recently picked by Yang Mei from the flower wall.
